so bonkers and kind of sad that miguel is being played as this sexy man (which is totally not because of people fetishizing latino men no way) when in the comics his only girlfriends are:

brothers ex who then went on to date his dad

ex-childhood bff

his neighbor who and told him to fuck off repeatedly

he is a cringe fail with no social skills who’s only friends is peter and his brother

Movie Miguel's only friends seem to be Lyla and maybe Peter and Jess.

After scrolling through tumblr and twitter for 4 days after ATSV released, I just realized that my man Miguel has been misunderstood in many things, hilarious things and frustrating things

People think he's vampire.

Wtf man?? Don't they know that spider has fangs too? His fangs can paralyze the victim, not for sucking blood! Some even wrote articles to confirm this, and i had a pretty good laugh for days 😂

He's not Spiderman

This guy is literally half human half spider, he's the most spider-like than any Spider-people. Some says that he's not truly Spiderman because he's not like other Spidermans. Yeah? Maybe he's The Blue Panther?

Spiderman 2099 is a villain in the movie

me: i would like to discuss the fact miguel o’hara went in search of other spiders at the end of into the spider-verse. he started at the beginning he wasn’t antagonistic or as distrustful or tired as he clearly is in across the spider-verse. he most likely found out about multiple peter parkers and wondered if there were different versions of him, and his curious nature won out and he looked and he saw and discovered that a version of him was happy, even for a little time, even for a moment. and then even that was taken from him! in a sense, he became the first anomaly by trying to fill the space left by a different miguel. he may be projecting, he may be trying to retroactively right his own wrongs by ensuring that a full universe collapse never happens again he–

i want to give a bit of info to everyone who only knows miguel from the movie:

•he is not a vampire! his fangs are from his spider dna and are filled with paralyzing venom :) fun fact: the size of his fangs makes him mumble so other people don't see them while he's talking!

•he wasn't bitten by a spider like most spider people! spider dna was atomically spliced directly into his genes making him 50% spider

•he doesn't stick like other spider people! he uses the talons on his fingers to climb around and such! fun fact: these talons can easily slice through solid metal :)

•he doesn't have a spider sense! instead, all of his senses are majorly enhanced!

•yes! he always moves like that! he automatically moves like a feral monster because that's what he is!

•he has a fiancé named dana and a little brother named gabriel! they are the two most important people in his life :) fun fact: gabriel recognized that it was miguel in the spider suit the first time he saw him in it!

•his eyes are red because they can see in major details and in complete darkness. fun fact: this makes his eyes super sensitive to light, which constantly gives him migraines :)

•yes! his ass is that huge in the comics, too! everyone in the comics are always commenting on it ^^

•miguel is irish/mexican :)

•he is NOT the original spider man of his universe! there was a peter parker in the past before the year 2099

just wanted to clear up some facts about him movie onlys may have misconstrued ^^
