I was thinking about your little Frog sister headcanons, and a concept occurred to me. Imagine the Frogs have been off with Sam for weeks. Keeping him out of the back room, not going out with him. Then, one evening, he and Nanook find a car seat on their porch, with a baby strapped in it. A typewritten note reading “Please take care of me.” is pinned to her front. After hours of puzzlement, Edgar and Alan appear at the Emersons’ door, white with horror at what they tried to do.

HOLY SHIT??? that’s extremely fascinating and sad. like… edgar and alan in desperation and for the first time sam sees genuine fear and guilt in them. i love this tbh
