i woke up this morning to discover that jonghyun of shinee had passed away, and i cannot even begin to describe how shocked and upset i am right now. jonghyun, was an INCREDIBLY talented and beautiful man who did not deserve ANY of the suffering he endured. my heart aches for his friends and family, shinee and all shawols.

please always remember jonghyun as the amazing person he was. he had such an amazing and powerful voice, he fought so much for lgbt and he was such a caring and amazing person in general.

please respect all of sm, the artists and ESPECIALLY shinee. everyone in sm had known jonghyun personally and are all grieving over the loss of this beloved friend, brother and idol. whatever they decide, do not go against them. respect their decisions.

lastly, please know that i am here for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU. please never be afraid to talk to me if you are having problems. and please remember that all idols are humans and every thing you say can and will affect them.

rest peacefully forever and always, jonghyun. we all love you dearly. ♡

It’s so surreal how in the last hour we got the news that a happy couple will be marrying. And now we get the news that an idol has passed away.

Please understand that idols are human beings, they aren’t gods. They put smiling faces in front of us, but we hardly know what they go through on a daily basis.

All the love and strength to his family and friends.

It was in the late autumn of your last teenage year when you realised you were head over heels in love with Jeon Jungkook, much to your displeasure. It was never your intention to fall for the boy, (whose eyes shone so bright, you were sure the stars were jealous) – after all no one wants to fall in love with their best friend. However, with each passing moment you spent together you found yourself falling deeper and deeper, praying he would be there to catch you.

He wasn’t.

During one of your late-night talks, he found himself admitting that he had a crush on someone. Your heart began to beat fast, and you had to bite back a smile. It had to be you, right? He treated you as if you were special, he looked at you with adoration and love and you knew him better than anyone. It had to be you.

“You know Soyoung? The girl from my class? Her. I really like her.”

You quite literally felt your heart break at the mention of another girl’s name coming out of his mouth, much less the name of the girl he actually liked. Of course, it wasn’t you. Why would it be?

From that night on, you had to listen to Jungkook complain about this unrequited crush on the beautiful girl. You had to watch him talk and laugh with another girl and then listen to him whine afterwards about how much he liked her and how he didn’t have the courage to just tell her. With each word he spoke, your heart shattered a little bit more in your chest. You wanted so badly to walk away from him, to tell him to stop. You wanted to give him up. Your heart couldn’t take anymore pain, it was starting to physically pain you.

The both of you were currently sitting in the library, your eyes stuck on him whilst his eyes were elsewhere. They were on her. He turned to you for a brief moment and gave you a confident smile before standing and walking over to her. The conversation, which you couldn’t hear, didn’t last very long and before you knew it, he came back over to you with sulked shoulders.

“I tried to tell her I liked her but I just couldn’t.” he groaned, before looking at you with such intensity, your voice caught in your throat. “Do you have any idea how much it hurts going to sleep with her on my mind, wondering if she was thinking of me? I hate this heart wrenching pain knowing that she’s never going to look at me the way I look at her. I hate that I don’t even hate her, I want the best for her, and I know I’m what’s best for her. I could give her so much damn love, she would never go a day feeling unwanted. This fucking sucks!”

“I – Jungkook…”

With a sigh he shook his head, saying quietly “you just – you just don’t know how bad it hurts to like someone so much and for them to have no idea how you feel.”

You closed your eyes to stop the prickle of tears that attacked your eyes and you clenched your hands into fists as you tried your hardest to refrain from yelling at him, and telling him you knew the feeling all too well. Instead, you took a deep breath and smiled sadly at him. With a shaky voice and a broken heart you stated, “no, I guess I don’t.”

It was in the early hours of the morning when he fell, plummeting down to earth, moving so fast that his fall almost went unnoticed. Almost. It happened before the sun made its appearance, leaving the sky still dark enough for the stars to gleam, and dark enough for only some to witness this incredible moment. The moment when a small light flew from the sky, barely visible, only to land on the outskirts of a city. Very close to where you just so happened to be standing.

It wasn’t rare for you to stand in the dark, away from the bright lights of the city. For you, it was the most normal thing in the world. You simply enjoyed travelling out to a sparse area to clear your mind whilst looking at the beautiful balls of gas that lit up the night sky. You enjoyed stargazing. However, it wasn’t normal for something to fall from the sky only to land a mile from where you stood. You felt the impact of the fall, the ground shaking slightly. It wasn’t a major disruption, and you were sure that only people standing close would have felt it. You stood for a few moments, deciding on whether you should turn around and go home or investigate. Within a few moments, you found yourself walking into the woods and further away from the city.

You wrapped your scarf tighter around you as the cold air nipped your cheeks, your freezing body begging you to return home to the warmth of your bed, but your mind kept telling you to walk forward. Your heart was beating fast at the thought of what you might discover as you drew closer to the area. After walking for ten minutes and still finding nothing, you tried to push the disappointment from your mind as you finally decided to give up and go home. It must have been my imagination, you thought. You took your leave, walking towards the city and listening to the crunch of the leaves beneath your shoes when you saw it. The spot where the thing must have landed. There was a large object lying a few metres from you. You gently walked towards it, your eyes focusing on the lump before you. When you got close enough to the object, your eyes widened and a gasp left your mouth, for the object lying in front of you was not an object at all.

Instead lay the form of a crumpled, winged man, whose eyes were just as wide as yours.
