I don't do anything with my life except romanticize and decay with indecision.

Many people are good to me. Many hate me. But there are some out there who know that I'm truly some kind of simple soul caught in a wild gamble, they know me, they know that I sit between these walls, they know I've been burned, and that I still laugh.
- Charles Bukowski

Hello! In today's episode I'm trying very hard (but not that much) to fix all the stuff I left behind on this last month. Probably the hardest part is to find a way to get everything organized.
Hope your week started nice there. Would love to hear how's you day going or went like.

Writing Tips
Punctuating Dialogue
➸ “This is a sentence.”
➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.
➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”
➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”
➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”
➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”
➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.
“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.
“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”
➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”
➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”
However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!
➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.
If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)
➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“
“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.
➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”
➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.
“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”
➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.
“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”

hey guys! I’m a psych major in college and I thought I’d write some of my best tips to do well in these classes! :-)
tip #1: use concept methods for studying!
use methods such as flashcards, diagrams, and more that involve definitions! psychology heavily involves theories and concepts you need to memorize. try to find one of these to help you best remember everything!
tip #2: remember everything as a whole, not in parts!
this is really important for psychology! a lot of things connect with each other in these classes, such as the history behind psychology and how one theory led to another. as such, don’t just remember a definition. try to remember the order and how it relates to other concepts you learn.
tip #3: try to find examples for theories/concepts you learn!
this is something really easy and memorable in psychology. a lot of these things happen in real life, so try using a personal example to help you to remember how a theory works.
tip #4: study a little bit every day.
this could apply to any subject really, but psychology is a LOT of content! studying just a little everyday prevents you from cramming it all last minute. then if you have to miss one day, you’re covered because you do it everyday :)
tip #5: for neuroscience topics, utilize diagrams
this is a tip I often hear from my Sensation and Perception professor, because often times when learning about experiments, a visual makes all the difference! try remembering or focusing on diagrams in the textbook because for some people, they make a big difference.
tip #6: get sleep and take breaks!
sleep (and other times of the day) is the time by which we process the information. not only, but when we sleep, our body has time to recover. always be sure to give your mind and body these times to recover-as well as taking care of yourself. don’t skip out simply to get one more sentence of information in.
