I’ve only just stumbled across this, so forgive me if you’ve already heard of this. Diversity Cross Check is a blog attempting to promote more diversity in writing by making real people available to writers to check facts, ideas and situations. People who are interested in providing education submit an identity profile and discuss the positive and negative things that they have experience with and are willing to talk about, and writers can go onto the blog, look through the profiles and ask the provided tumblr users things that they need clarification on.

Just 6 years ago I arrived in Tokyo to work as a layout/background artist on a japanese show called Basquash! It was my first layout job, my first time in Japan, and my first time leaving home for such a long period (one complete year), so that was a big adventure for me! This year working on the show was very tough, but I learned so much, met so many nice people, that it was in the end one of my best work/life experience so far. All that was made possible thanks to Thomas Romain, the creator of the show, and Satelight studio who provided really good working conditions for us.
