I like to imagine Marcille deals with her grief of outliving Falin (her wife) and Laois (her platonic soulmate) by looking for new friends that are just as weird/obsessive as the Touden siblings. Through this process of finding generations of weirdos she starts to notice genetic patterns and similarities to the point that she "discovers" autism. She names it Touden syndrome though.

the implication laios successfully hid his interest in monsters and weird eating habits from the group for multiple years pre-series is insane. however falin did fully eat a grasshopper off the ground when marcille first hung out with her and marcille was more alarmed by her eating raspberries its possible their bar for weird eating is different. marcille encounters one tallman other than the touden siblings and is like hm ive noticed you aren’t putting half the bugs we see in your mouth. i thought that was a tallman thing

So I randomly remembered Croc is pretty much Italian.

Every time I see a duck I think to myself that I want to pick up that duck. There is a sort of quality of the duck that makes it feel like the act of picking up the duck would somehow be analogous to those strange videos where people use knives to cleanly cut through multilayered cakes. There would be a sort of accumulative act even without taking permanent possession of the duck. It would rather be more like pulling the lever on some ancient machine which makes a counter increase by one. The duck is the lever. I hope my meaning is clear to you all?
