In regard to minorities using social media platforms to come together and organize/spread information, TikTok is an interesting one to look at. Over the summer after George Floyd’s death they were accused of blocking posts tagged with #blacklivesmatter or posts relating to protests. They said it was a fluke, however, this past week, Asian creators are sharing a similar story.
