Most likely, I did not express myself correctly enough in the first answer. I meant she is much more bad (bad isn't evil for me, but you couldn't know that, right? Sorry.) than Halsey was originally.

My interpretation of grey is some kind of «striped» reputation in Fallout: New Vegas. You make bad things and good thing in the approximately equal proportions.

Obviously, for now, Halsey make more «bad» things, so she is out of grey zone.

(I know I use words in very wide meaning but this is feature of my native language. If I use something in incorrect meaning, feel free to correct me.)

Yes, her worldview doesn't correspond with the others' worldviews (this fact was mentioned by Miranda in the last episode, as I understand). And I hope screenwriters will show that difference more brightly in future episodes.

As for Miranda, literally in the last scene she told Kai that her mother does not tolerate deviations and unpredictability. And, if our translators aren't dreamers, she clearly hinted Kai should fear Halsey.

To sum up, in general I agree with you. Yay! :)

Hmm, I've seen in strange translation so I could lost something, but I've realised her as woman who left her husband and daughter for job and Spartans. Leaving family even for mankind saving isn't good step, how do you think?

However we all know she is very intelligent, purposeful and ambitious. She knows what exactly she does, so she really needed that.

But.

She lies John about about Cortana's function (I understood why but as an interesting fact) and she is ready to replace him.

From the other side, she tries to save him in the first episode, but I'm not sure we should take it only as anxiety for John. She was really intrigued by artefact, remember?

(In defense of their relationship, I also noticed that Halsey always tries sitting next to John — not opposite him. It also can be interpreted in different ways, but she is a friend for him. Or seems as a friend.)

According this, I think she don't love him as much as in books, but she still distinguishes him among the Spartans. As I remember, she didn't interest in other members of Silver team, exclude John.

Yes, she let him be free but under Cortana's control. She likes, if I can say so, talking with her clone. She didn't get pleasure seeing her death. But it's not enough for me to give her the grey morale.

And in the end of the fourth episode, as an icing on the cake, Miranda speaks openly that Halsey will liquid everybody who don't match with her plans.

I am especially offended for Vanya. (Have you ever seen little pigs? Or piglets? They are so cute and fluffy! OwO)

I know it's not going to happen, but it would be cool if they showed their pets. (I believe, John had a dog.)

And Miranda is well in this episode (finally! I'm so happy!) I really love this girl, but for last three episodes she's reminded an offended child who can't forgot and forgive an old grudge.

But screenwriters hate Halsey and make her monster without conscience and regret. It's so strange for me because even in the canonical timeline she's made bad things but tried redeem herself (program S-II is a good example).

By the way, I lost the thread of the Kwan line. I'm sure she will win in the end, but now she sucked Soren into an adventure he doesn't need, became a reason why he lost his favourite ship and he just help her because he couldn't do anything else. (He will damn John with brothers' love after all, I hope.)
