ok so firstly: merry christmas (well christmas eve) to all who celebrate and happy holidays for those who dont >0<

and secondly: a fact about me which i believe i have 100% stated before online, the nutcracker is my FAVORITE ballet!!!! so heres Rook as the nutcracker, there WAS supposed to be a clara Vil to accompany him but the fates didnt allow it (i wasnt liking the sketches i was making 😞) so perhaps in the future i shall reunite them but for now take him <3

So, when I got the Holiday Gift Calendar tenfold key on December 25th I said to myself, "You're a real one, Mr. Grim!" to the tune of the Grinch song. ...And then I realized too many TWST characters those lyrics and it just turned into a whole thing.

I may add more images in reblogs as time, ideas, and energy allow. (But if anyone else wants to add on FEEL FREE)

ok so as someone still relatively new to TWST (and someone just taking the events as they come to EN instead of keeping up with the JP side) and as a Jack Howl simp

I am of the (CORRECT) opinion that he should absolutely get an Applepom look because... fwuffy. and hat with ear holes. and he'd be SO insistent that he's used to the cold and doesn't need it but he will take it once it's insisted on because he's polite and won't refuse Gramma Felmier

Also I think a fun twist on the "someone's sled breaks and their plushie tears so they have to come up with another idea" bit from the other event is that Jack goes wolf mode to pull the sled (because as said in his starsending wish he pulls sleds back at home on breaks to try and get faster as a wolf!)

I'm biased though because I need more Jacc in my life

thank you anon for bringing the mental image of harveston Jack into my life. he would be SO fluffy...so warm...he would haul so many apples...

also while I love the imagery of him pulling the sled, I feel like that would probably get them insta-disqualified. :( unless they can somehow 1) convince the judges that this enormous talking wolf is actually a very well-made plush, and 2) get Jack to go along with it (I do think Jack would instantly respect Marja as being more alpha or whatever and would have to, like, choose between his sense of JUSTICE, or going along with cheating at this sporting event so an authority figure doesn't get mad at him) (...wait this is just the plot of episode 2 again) (DANGIT)

Trey Info Compilation part 10: Downplaying (pt1)

Trey downplaying himself is a running theme: he blames himself for falling down the stairs in Book 2 so that Riddle will not feel bad about it and repeatedly assures people that he is not doing “anything special” when they compliment him.

Lilia mentions Trey downplaying that he was sick during a class, and when Azul compliments Trey on his “effortless consideration of others” Trey says “It’s nothing so noble or kind.” Jamil says it seems Trey must have his hands full with Riddle and Trey downplays his efforts by saying, “that’s the fate of every vice housewarden.”

Trey is downplaying himself constantly throughout Vargas Camp 2, saying that he is “not really MVP material” and asking Rook to not hype him up, as he isn’t looking for attention and he isn’t sure how to respond to everyone’s compliments.

When the prefect compliments him as well he says, “Don’t you go ribbing me now, too.”

When Cater comments on how that makes it sound as though Trey doesn’t believe them Trey explains, “I just get really uncomfortable when I’m the center of attention.” Malleus encourages him to hold his head high.

Trey also insists that Rook gives him too much credit for catching their catfish and driving off the fairies at the camp: “I had to do something, so I did. That’s not really worth all this praise.”

The characters all come together to compliment Trey again at the end of the event despite his downplaying of everything he did and attempts to share credit with the group. Vil encourages him to just take a compliment.

When Ace asks what he does in his room all the time Trey says he just does homework and reads, not doing anything special.

Ace calls him a model student and Trey says, “I’m more on the average side, really.”

This habit of Trey’s becomes a topic of conversation between him and Vil in a vignette where Trey says he is “honestly kind of shocked” at hearing that there are people who remark that he is an exceptional second-in-command to Riddle.

Trey insists that nothing he does is all that praiseworthy and Vill says, “Those with no appreciation for character would take your modesty at face value. Of course, if that’s the image you want to manufacture for yourself, don’t let me stop you. You’re only shooting yourself in the foot.” Trey assures him that he will adjust his approach moving forward.

When I was recreating the scene for Rook I was debating whether the horse stays or no... Rook gets a horsie!!! Also yes I let him have the hunting knife prop but NO WAY I would give him an arrow too with that bow.

It’s been almost a year since I drew this but now that Book 7 has started to drop on EN server (and Sebek has heard the nickname) it feels relevant again.

So I got into Twisted Wonderland and the MOMENT that Malleus was called Hornton... this image popped into my head and wouldn't leave.
