Frith’s Blessing was a followup

The Black Rabbit of Inlé was modeled after my first rabbit Hoshi and was an ode to the story when the titular prince of rabbits joins his ghostly owsla. Hoshi died of e.cuniculi which is a parasitic infection all rabbits carry until it presents itself as a head tilt and neurological issues. So it’s kind of fitting that the prince went there to save his people from disease. This was painted before he presented any symptoms and he was a king amongst rabbits.

To add some specificity to this, as encountered working in healthcare: any virus that is "naked" or "non-enveloped" is not bothered at all by hand sanitizer or even many caviwipe varieties, because they depend on desiccating the cell membrane (of bacteria) or the stolen cell membrane envelope (viruses) to kill/incapacitate them. Naked viruses can't be immobilized in this way because there's no membrane to destroy. You have to DENATURE THE PROTEINS. Typically, this means fucking BLEACH.

Common naked viruses: norovirus (sass gut), rotavirus (the sassiest gut), adeno/enterovirus (usually also just sass gut but can also cause SPINAL CORD DEMYELINATION), all the hepatitis viruses, polio, and the common fucking cold. Hand sanitizer will not protect you from any of them.

WASH YOUR HANDS.

I've noticed more and more in public bathrooms that people skip the handwash and just take a squirt of hand sanitizer from wall dispensers on the way out. hand sanitizer is NOT effective against most things that come out of your ass. i cannot stress this enough. i'm begging y'all. please. please please please please please use the soap.
