My brother released some new music... Most of you don't understand Finnish but some of you don't care if you understand the lyrics anyway... This is a very new band so give them a listen if you're curious. 🩵

This was born from a concept where my brother invited one of his musician friends at a time to the sauna in our yard for a couple of days to compose a song with him, so there's often a different guest singing with him.

OKAY I have a headcanon about this opening, which is that Holmes and Watson had a big argument and Holmes left London in a fit of pique. He worked himself to a breakdown, crashed hard, and checked into the nearest hotel, intending to recover on his own…but some bellhop or maid was a fan of Watson’s writings and sent the telegram and then Watson TRAVELLED 500 MILES IN A DAY TO GET TO HIM anyway that’s why I drew it like that.

My fantasy book series got me thinking that in my idealised world pretty much everything would be both functional and aesthetic in a way that can't be separated from each other, everything would be beautiful to an unrealistic degree but that beauty would also be inherently linked to the function of the thing. And I'm sure this is why I'm writing about people who can play music to prevent earthquakes.

Transitioning gives you interesting perspective on how peoples' perception of your build changes more than your build actually does. I'm about 3 cm taller than the national female average where I'm from, and in my teens was just the most basic default settings standard-average build bitch. Can carry buckets of rocks and do other shitty yard work, separate two fighting dogs, is just fine walking 4 km home drunk in heels, short skirt and fishnet stockings at 2 am in a blizzard. Hoes are immune to frost damage anyway. Can't kill one of them things. Could be strapped on a yoke to plough a field if you don't have an ox.

But eight years on testosterone, ID changed and top surgery healed, I'm the same damn build and people will ask if I'm ok managing things that I'm perfectly fine with. Had a doctor who was 100% aware of my robust health describe my build as "delicate". I first wondered whether my boyfriend's family doesn't actually consider me male over being reluctant about letting me do physical outdoor work, before I noted that they're totally fine with his sister doing the same kind of work. And she's anemic and allergic to the fucking sun.

I'm about the same weight and height as I was when I was 16, but somehow a 16-year-old girl can be expected to have the relative strength and resilience of a cockroach, but a 30-something man the size of a 16-year-old girl is something that might die if someone sneezes too loud.

I just remembered how in high school I didn't understand that a fetish was a sexual thing, and kept telling people I had a notebook fetish, because... I just thought it was like a unique excitement towards some object. Is this too ace to function? But the thing is people seemed to take it at face value so I wonder if there are still some people out there remembering someone from high school who was refreshingly unashamed of being horny for notebooks.

Being ace and hot is a nightmare sometimes, I met this guy in my neighborhood, we live literally 200m away from each other, he's funny and witty and a genuine delight to talk to, and YESTERDAY he makes it clear he's flirting so now I'm trying to figure out how to turn him down and also throw my single friends at him because he really is a great catch, but I don't eat fish so he's wasted on me.

So now I have to figure out how to say 'I think, based on your tastes, I have some girlfriends you might like and they'd love to take you home, doggy walking same time next week?' in human speak.
