There's a lot of conversation around why Disney continues to remake classic films as live-action.
Often the audience is disappointed with the outcome and bringing them up-to-date with today's sensibilities frequently results in consternation from conservatives.
Ultimately, simply looking at the numbers shows that Disney have consistently been able to make a profit.
The Little Mermaid had the lowest worldwide total box office taking to budget ratio and that was still more than 2:1.
The budget numbers shared in the graph are for production and does not include marketing and distribution costs.
Snow White will likely cost Disney around $500 million in total. Perhaps this is the end of nostalgia milking as it is hard to see this story ending, happily ever after.

The corporate environment is becoming hostile to workers. Despite record revenue at many companies, there is a distrust from leadership that their employees are performing to the best of their abilities. #RTO and #layoffs have been the trend since, those of us still here, survived the pandemic. And now, there's a push for needy biological workers to be replaced by #AI and #robots. But, therein lies the problem.
This isn't a precise timeline but by going through human history, from Hunter-Gatherer to modern times, we'll see that machines may force us back to square one, but not for the reason shown in most movies.

It's like a weird gameshow. Would you rather a brand new megacity worth $93 billion or factories and data centres worth $500 billion?

We have a few weeks now to wait, to know the fate of English football. The ramifications may impact all of European football. In the pursuit of a more high profile league allowances have been made so that the most exciting and expensive players would be seen in the Premier League. Arguably this has been a problem since Roman Abramovich took over at Chelsea and now the scale of the activity has caused a problem.
If it is judged to be a crime then the punishment will need to be severe enough to be an effective deterrent. A points deduction might not be enough, expulsion from the league might be too much. And if Man City fight back then the legal fees might be too much for the Premier League to handle.

There's no easy answer to whether a nation should invest more heavily into nuclear power. What is clear is that there are a number of countries that can be looked at as an example of how well nuclear performs. About 70% (64 GW) of France's electricity comes from their nuclear power stations. The USA produces the most from nuclear power stations at 102 GW, though China is due to bring on as much as 118 GW over the few years. All this is fossil fuel free energy but not without concerns with regard to nuclear waste during plant operation and decommissioning. The biggest hurdle for most governments is the cost, with projects consistently running over time and significantly over budget. But what do you think, is nuclear power potentially the best clean energy option?

Our sensation of pleasure is a cocktail of various neurotransmitters. Often our evolutionary biology isn't able to keep pace with modern changes in our environment. As a result, our reward system can be hacked either deliberately or accidentally. This can cause issues but with a solid understanding we can use dopamine, and other neurotransmitters, to help us stick to positive routines and behaviours like exercise and general fitness.

It's fair to say that Bluey’s powers were probably inherited through the mum's side. If you watch their interactions Bandit is definitely mindful that Chili could zap him whenever she pleases.

The UK is sixth of this list, but I guess I expected it to be a lot lower given how the media covers the British economy.
