Chris DeMakes - Less Than Jake guitarist Posted: May 27, 2020

I am not sure where to even begin here. This one is probably the one that has affected me the most.  I grew up listening to Chris band Less Than Jake, possibly began listening as young as 12 years old.  I would later go to finally see them live at a local venue and met him and bass player Roger Lima after the show. They seemed really nice and signed my cd. Later they invited my friends and I to this tiny hole in the wall bar nearby. I don’t even think my friends and I were old enough to drink yet but somehow got in. I saw them many times but he started getting weird and creepy towards me so I started to distance myself while still going to the shows and listening to the music. Things got bad at one point where I couldn’t even attend an event or show for other bands without him seeing me and making a bee line right towards me or looking for me when he caught wind I was there while I was trying to avoid him. He has made some of the most disgusting comments towards me that were straight up sexual harassment and made me extremely uncomfortable. I’ve never been into him in any way, shape or form and have never led him on. For a while prior to this beginning I’d get drunk at shows and go in the pit but I never hung out with him alone or flirted with him. I was with some friends after a show and at one point I was alone for a little bit. He was heavily intoxicated and came up to me and said something like “I’m getting desperate here, will you give me a blow job?”, slurring his words. I was very shocked to hear that come out of his mouth and was like “Excuse me?!?!”. I don’t recall if anything else was said but he made me uncomfortable.  Later I saw him take 2 girls on his bus, they looked like they could be around 20 years old.  Another time I was looking for my friends and he was drunk and approached me saying things like “I want to have unprotected butt sex with you.” even though it was blatantly obvious that I was uncomfortable and didn’t want to talk to him.  I’m sure he finds this stuff funny and these are only two of the many times he has said things like that.

I couldn’t listen to the band anymore without feeling sick so I sold all my merch and cds from the band. If they come on the radio I start having a panic attack and change the channel. It really sucks because I used to really like their music but he ruined it for me. I haven’t seen Less Than Jake in years and if they play a festival I am at I stay far away from the stage they’re on so I do not have to hear or see them.

He’s done stuff to two friends of mine including received nudes from one who was barely legal. I can’t share their stories because they’re not my stories to share but if they ever want to come forward I’ll be there to support them.  If anyone else has had similar (or worse experiences) can contact me and tell me their story. Jesus David Torres aka Dahvie Vanity of Blood On The Dance Floor/Sinners Are Winners/Master Of Death/Kawaii Monster Posted: May 24, 2020

One of the times I went to see New Years Day at the Key Club on Sunset Strip in Hollywood they were unfortunately playing with his band.  Someone introduced me to him and I didn’t realize who he was at first.  I later remembered him as just Dahvie the wannabe hair stylist from Orlando who had a channel on Stickam. I know I had lurked him back in the day but thought he was a creep back then too so I never engaged.  Anyway he went to shake my hand then kiss it and ended up slobbering all over it like a dog. I was so grossed out and immediately ran to the bathroom to wash my hands thoroughly.  I unfortunately had to watch his set cause the person I went with wanted to watch his set.  He removed his pants and was running through the crowd in his underwear, climbing on the bar and mooning the crowd of about 95% minors. It was one of the worst things I have ever seen. (no disrespect to Jayy who can actually sing and was always nice to me).  Dahvie just cannot sing or play guitar to save his life. Later when I was waiting to leave I saw Dahvie chasing minors around with a sharpie and drawing on their faces. I think he drew a penis on one kids face. Later heard he was no longer welcome at the Key Club. I had seen Dahvie and Jayy at Bar Sin in Hollywood a couple times after that. I saw Dahvie pissed off and storming out.  Jayy was polite but had to leave with him. Dahvie has physically hurt two of my friends. He is a violent and disgusting person. I know what Dahvie did to me isn’t nearly as bad as what he has done to so many young girls and women over the past 15 years. I just wanted to post this to help show how he behaves. I want to do anything I can to help the survivors seek justice for what he has done to them.

Michael Money - Beyond Unbroken/ex-Escape The Fate guitarist Hi my name is Clea and I want to go on record with this. Today’s date is May 23, 2020. I knew Michael Money from summer/fall 2009 to spring 2011. I want to start by saying I am not looking for clout by posting this. It really did happen whether you want to believe it or not. I am not using my real name because I run a business and don’t want this attached to it at all.  Mostly I am telling people this in hopes this person does not harm someone else. I never spoke out before cause I was scared of the backlash and felt it was my fault for a long time. This is something I regret not speaking up about sooner. I hope he did not do anything similar to anyone else. Since this was so long ago I don’t know if I have an exact timeline of everything. I had forgotten for a while until the recent Dahvie Vanity investigation. I honestly do not know exactly how I met him, possibly through mutual friends.  I used to be a fan of Escape The Fate (starting in 2008) and he joined sometime between Warped Tour 2009 and their fall tour that year.  They were playing at The Wiltern on November 21, 2009. I don’t remember what the tour was called or who else were on the tour. I had obviously met him before this tour cause we had exchanged numbers at some point. We had plans to hang out at the venue at some point that night. I remember we were texting and I got annoyed cause I had waited a long time and ended up leaving and going home instead. Michael had sent me unsolicited dick pics over the time I knew him. I was never interested in him and never led him to believe I was. Someone invited me to come to a secret show Escape The Fate was performing at a strip club called Crazy Girls in Hollywood where they filmed a live video for “City Of Sin”.  A bunch of the people ended up going over to a rock bar nearby called Angels & Kings. I went to see the band a few more times in 2010 and 2011 then stopped going after a specific incident. He happened to be in Hollywood after we were all hanging out at one of the bars. My friend, some other dude (not sure if he was my friend’s friend or Michael’s friend) and I end up going to the hotel Michael was at to hang afterwards. I think the hotel was behind the Hollywood and Highland Mall or nearby. I wasn’t really feeling like drinking that night and had another friend’s dog with me. At some point my friend and the other guy had disappeared without telling us.  Michael tried making me a really strong drink and I didn’t want it so he tried to force me to drink it. I still refused to drink it.  He wouldn’t let me leave the room and then kept trying to force himself on me and I’d push him off. My friend’s dog kept getting between us and growling at him.  He is a pretty big, strong dude but he eventually gave up. Since he wasn’t letting me leave I waited until he passed out before I snuck out and walked home. I blocked his number, blocked him on social media and never spoke to him again. If Michael Money has done something similar or worse to you and feel comfortable doing so please speak up, even if you want to do it anonymously.
