It’s a surprise, however, when a woman e can’t claim to know runs up and pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. 

It’s just his cheek, of course, so he has no interest in giving her grief for what some would see as simple Holiday tradition, given the nearby mistletoe that he’d been woefully unaware of when he picked this spot to stand in.

The other part of him, the one that sees Prompto’s smile more than the threat of safety that came with the potential interference of any feelings that might be born between them. It would be more than a simple risk to Noctis’s livelihood if either of them hesitated for even a moment. 

Already, Ignis struggled with want to protect Prompto as much as he did Noctis. 

It was... problematic.
