there's a reason that these Business Major middle-of-the-road soulless grindset motherfuckers who've never had an original thought in their lives about what they like or what they want out of life are so quick to call genuinely liking anything "cringe." businesses today take "duping and exploiting the customer" as their starting point, and for the people who are actually bought into that viewpoint, anyone who actually likes something -- anybody who's invested in art or music or storytelling or games or hobbies, anyone who's enthusiastic about anything except making money -- is lining up to be duped and exploited. to people whose highest good is using your passions to sucker you out of your money, passion itself marks you as a sucker in the making. they live in beige houses and only think about work and their personal brand because having actual interests would make them just like the "consumers" they look down on all day.
