Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade
Arcade Location Test in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan.
Let me get this straight, I have never enjoyed a Sonic game, ever.
However, I’m am aware that there a few people that differ from me, so I braved the busy streets of Akihabara to hit Sega World where they are holding a location test for the new Sonic and Mario Olympic game for a few days. As far as I know, this is the first Sonic/Mario collaboration to hit arcades ever.
It looked kinda goofy, and not at all fun for me, but what do you think?
Video version will hit my YouTube channel later. Thanks much!

Animal Crossing figures.
Heh, maybe one day they’ll be Amiibo.
These are 800yen, which is cheaper than Amiibo, which are 1200yen...

Full Amiibo Set! .....not for sale.
For those that are thinking Japan is the land of dreams and you can walk into any shop and pick up any Amiibo you want...think again. Like anywhere else in the world, it’s all commons. I guess everything else is on eBay, or Yahoo Auctions!
Still, as I walked into my local supermarket today, I saw a complete (?) set of Amiibo on display, but ironically not for sale! Must be torturous for collectors!
Not me though, I don’t care :-P

Yoshi Gatcha Toy!
Yoshi’s New Island may be a P.o.S, but damn these toys are cute! This series is pretty good actually, because all of them are pretty good, no “bad” ones. However, I was well chuffed to get this one because that’s the one I had in mind when I dumped my 200yen into the machine! Woo!
Which one would you have liked to get? Let me know on Myspace. Haha, just kidding, Twitter.

Yamashiroya toy and merchandise shop in Ueno, Tokyo.
Some of you may have already seen the Kirby vending machine picture already, that’s because it got crazy retweets the other week. I still can’t believe the power of that pink puffball.
Anyway, I thought you guys might be interested in seeing the rest of that shop, it had some cool Nintendo stuff there! I’m also working on a video tour of this same place for my YouTube channel (same username)
Please to enjoy!

(Scan of a leaflet I picked up in an arcade) Super Mario Kart Arcade GP DX3 may be a terrible game, but it has got some interesting items not found in regular MK games. Paper mushroom, pie, hammer, sea urchin, shield, mega mushroom, thumb tacks??! Also there's a gold Mario skin you can buy extra using the rewritable cards you use in the arcade cabinet. Nothing to do with Amiibo!!
