saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023

The Diary of Izuku Midoriya
I thought I'd try to write in a different style and POV for MHA. My hyper fixation on it is slowly dying so I'm trying to write it as if it's my own story, completely non-canonical. But for now, here's a little one-shot I did. Let me know if you enjoyed it!
~~~
My name is Izuku Midoriya. I live in a world of quirks. Small quirks, big quirks, quiet quirks, and loud quirks. 80% of the world, which consists of, currently, eight-billion people, has quirks. 20%, or 1.6 billion people, do not.
I am one of those 1.6 billion people.
At age 5, I was officially diagnosed quirkless by a local doctor. They did the x-ray of my foot and it showed that I had an extra joint in my pinky toe, which means that I’m quirkless.
I don’t live in a world where miracles happen. I don’t live in a story written by someone trying to make me have a quirk so I’m not different, just misunderstood. I don’t suddenly gain a quirk after I accidentally kill my mother (I really didn’t mean to) or when I almost get killed by some guy after I told him I didn’t have any money on me.
I don’t have a quirk to train, so instead, I train my mind and my body.
What do I do with this, you may ask? Well, I kill people.
Not like that, Kami, relax. I kill bad people. Rapists, child molestors, human traffickers, you know, the bad of the bad. I don’t care if they’ve ‘turned their life around’. That’s complete bullshit.
How do I find these people? I find articles, police reports, and archived files. There’s a lot of them in the red-light district, to no one's surprise, but there are also some in better areas, the city. They have kids, a family, a life, and have changed for the better. That’s what they tell me anyway before I kill them.
I don’t believe in second chances.
Sure, I’ll get arrested someday with multiple, if not hundreds, of murder charges, but I think it’s worth it.
It… kind of gets lonely sometimes, though.
There is this one underground hero. Eraserhead. He’s pretty cool. His quirk is Erasure, where he can erase someone’s quirk just by looking at him. It doesn’t work on mutant quirks, though, so he fights quirkless like me. He’s really cool. But he’s also trying to arrest me all the time, which isn’t very nice of him when I’m riding this city of vermin for heroes like him. I don’t think I like him very much most of the time, but I really wish he would at least teach me a few moves and how to be so quiet like him all the time. He’s like an owl when it flies. Dead silent. I think I’ll nickname him Fukurō. Yeah, yeah I know he already has his pro-hero name Eraserhead, but it’s kind of stupid, so you know. Mind ya business.
For now, though, my name is Izuku Midoriya and I am fourteen years old and this is my diary mission log notebook. Oh, I also keep a blog online of who I kill! This is so people know why I’ve done it and why they are dead. It gets taken down a lot but I have an automatic re-upload code running if it ever gets deleted by police.
I think I’m going to go find some food. Izuku out.
21 November 20XX
lgbtq+ supporting parents who are also oblivious are the funniest types of allies because it’s awesome to have parents that love and accept u for who u really are and stuff tho it also means that whenever anything remotely gay happens in a show or when i see anything in a store with a rainbow pattern on it my mom chooses to show it to me exactly like this
I LOVE
Housekid AU
Idea: Casita raises Mirabel.
Casita didn't give Mirabel a Gift because they chose her to be the new Candlebearer. The Gifts were given to the Family as a means of speeding up the building of the Encanto and protecting/helping it after, so naturally, the Candlebearer doesn't need one (they could have one, but not right now, too early in the bloodline, not a strong enough foundation), as their focus would be on keeping the Family together.
And Little Mirabel was perfect for the job! She was a kind-hearted child, she treated Casita like the being that they were, she was smart, she was confident, she was talented- she was as close to 'perfect' for a Matriarchal role as you can get while still being a person. In fact, she already healed a couple of cracks (prideadorationlove)!
So, Casita poured more magic than usual onto the little precious one, boosting their already strong naturally-formed connection. Though, with the feat, they were currently weak from the transfer, so her Door would just have to be made later.
The only problem with the whole situation is that Casita didn't realize that their current Candlebearer was too far gone into her mindset of 'Gift before person', so she immediately looked at Little Mirabel in a negative light (offenseshockbetrayedbetrayed ) instead of pausing to think of what it could mean- or heck, just asking Casita directly! She had enough magic left in her for that, as Little Mirabel was still much too young to take her role!
Casita tried to convey their desire, their reason. For the next few weeks they tried.
Tiles clanking, boards shifting, a freaking letter.
But with the flight of their Little Seer into their walls and the shock of the unrealized declaration of a chosen heir still not fading, the Family would not listen.
And poor Little Mirabel began to be forgotten.
For the first time in years, Casita was angry. They understood why they were doing it. They understood their Candlebearer's line of thought; even if they didn't agree or won't ever condone it. But Little Mirabel was a child (precioustinyinnocent) and they left her behind.
Casita would not stand for this.
So they made a decision.
They already loved their precious little Candlebearer. The Family knew it, even if they never realized. Little Mirabel knew it, and it was one of the few things that kept her from going dark (angerangerprotectiveangerangeranger).
It would be no problem taking on a more hands-on role. No one would be suspicious of it either; in fact, they'd probably interpret it as pity, or never even notice at all (betrayedbetrayedsadbetrayed).
Which was perfect. No interruptions.
Casita would raise their Little Miracle, and they would raise her well.
Starting with a Gift and a Door.
(God knows she was going to need it.)
Due to Mirabel's 'failure', Abuela doubled the work everyone in the family was doing to dispel the doubts that were beginning to set in. This made all the Gifted Madrigals very busy, which caused two things: More neglect than canon, and more hate/resentment (it's just Isabela though) on Mirabel for being the catalyst. This, almost always, left Mirabel to just... exist.
(Casita was always there for her though; so while the bad feelings she had were still there, they were not as bad and as damaging as they could have been.)
The rise of negative feelings towards Casita's little Candelita proved to be an obstacle in regaining their magical strength. This made Casita a bit irritable during the recovery weeks, but never with Mirabel though. They played with her, took care of her, watched over her; and most importantly, taught her. Casita taught her Candelita various things. Though, admittedly, being a non-human entity must've screwed their expectations of what a 5 year old can do, because they taught her parkour (so she can move herself all around the Encanto with ease), how to use a staff (because Mirabel had been playing around with a mop and they saw her being a natural at it and thought: why not? self-defense is always a plus), how to sneak around (a needed skill to have when the mere sight of you can either mean a physical or an emotional chankla- also it's more self-defense), how to treat wounds (for emergencies) and how to see without her eyes (a precaution).
It didn't help that Mirabel rose to the challenge. Her capabilities did nothing to correct Casita's assumptions, and thus begins a life-long cycle of weird, bizarre lessons offered to too early or late an age.
As weeks passed on, Mirabel faded further and further into the background. Julieta and Agustin are good parents, yes, but they're not there as much as they're needed to be. They're all too busy- all of the family were. They're always in town; even Abuela.
Which means Casita had Mirabel all to themself.
The rest of the year is filled with education and bonding between the entity and their keeper. Mirabel kept learning, growing, saddened by her family's actions but never faltering with her parent's support. Casita grew more and more proud of their Candelita, their precious Little Miracle; felt more and more love for the sweet, kind, scrappy little child.
They even had a couple of adventures inside Casita's walls.
Whenever the other Madrigals weren't around, which was always, Casita would reconfigure themself into Mirabel's personal playground. Mattresses would manifest all over the floors, and ladders, railings, stairs and all sorts of things would fly about, testing Mirabel's parkour and stealth skills.
Sometimes they even played pretend- which had the side effect of making Mirabel an excellent actress.
Overall, this part of the timeline, Parent and Child just bonded.
And it was adorable.
It's Mirabel who breaks first. She calls her Parent 'Mami' out loud, so used to doing so in her most private of thoughts, that it takes her a full minute to realize. She's embarrassed, of course, and maybe a little nervous, but she means the title, so she doesn't take it back. She just freezes like a deer in headlights, and awaits her mother's response.
But how does one respond when one's metaphorical heart just exploded with love? With magic? With pride? With adoration?
Casita, in all the knowledge their- her, now- magic allowed them access to, didn't know.
But she did know that she was absolutely honored to be her Candelita's- her daughter! -mother, and that her Candelita must know.
So she gave a wild, loud, overjoyed explosion of movement around her little hija, who's face was of relief and sheer happiness at her very obvious acceptance, and spent the rest of the day clacking her tiles and shingles to sound vaguely like 'Mirabel', 'Mija', and 'Candelita'.
Their bond strengthened ten-fold that day, and later Casita is delighted to discover that she had the perfect, much more physical and permanent affirmation- proof - of her love for her daughter.
It's about time.
(Reblog if you want part 2! I just really liked Casita and Mirabel's dynamic in the movie)
Heya guys! Here's another angsty "Mirabel don't make it out of Casita in time" prompts based off of @tanukired 's tiktok drawings(?). Enjoy! 😈
Warnings: b!00d, d3ath.
You know,
you have to be alive to be healed.
But even if she was alive, even if she could be healed,
Julieta no longer had her Gift.
She couldn't heal Mirabel if she tried.
So, all she can do
is scream.
A scream so heart-wrenching, so grief stricken, that Dolores is glad (God, how can she be glad right now?) that she no longer has her gift.
Because if she did have her Gift,
even at miles away,
a few,
a hundred,
a thousand,
she would still be able to hear it.
And she would bet on the fact she could hear it
a few,
a hundred,
a thousand
miles away
even without her Gift.
The only thing the family Madrigal could do is stare at Mirabel's bloodied body
curled around the candle
like she would Antonio when he couldn't sleep at night
How Luisa would her when she was much younger
younger than she is now
in a protective embrace.
A small smile on her pale face,
eyes empty,
staring at her family.
Lost... forever.
Young.
Too young
to be
lifted
carried
by Death from the earth,
carried into Somewhere where she couldn't be held,
embraced,
kissed,
loved,
by her familia
anymore.
Except she could.
But now
she doesn't know it.
So as Julieta sprints towards her daughter's cooling,
cold,
frozen body,
crying out to the heavens
that she is
too young,
too kind,
too loving
to be taken from then so soon.
So young.
So young they all think.
Too young.
Why did it have to be her?
She reaches out to her daughter
hoping this time she could protect her this time.
But from what?
Where she went,
Julieta could not follow
yet.
She falls to her knees.
They cry out in pain.
Bloodied.
But there's blood on the ground.
Is it hers?
Mirabels?
She doesn't know. She doesn't care.
She cradles her daughter.
Her love.
Her joy.
Her youngest.
Oh, her youngest.
Gone.
They needed a miracle.
A miracle.
What is a miracle?
Did they use up all of their miracles?
What use was it
were they
are they
that they can't even use their Gifts
to protect their own.
Luisa wasn't strong enough.
Dolores wasn't loud enough.
Isabela wasn't perfect enough.
Camilo wasn't who he needed to be.
Antonio couldn't communicate.
Pepa wasn't in control.
Julieta couldn't heal.
Would their Gifts had made a difference?
Would a miracle make a difference?
No,
Julieta thinks.
A miracle can't bring back the dead.
A miracle can't bring back her daughter.
Because it's the reason she's dead.
Doing short little angst dialogue prompt stories! Put some in the comments/reblogs or ask me if you would like to see any (they don't have to be angst ofc )
~+~+~+
"Are you going to yell at me, too? I deserve it." Mirabel sniffs, picking up another shard of glass off of the floor.
She had been working on something in the nursery, but one thing led to another, and the glass cover of the family photo was suddenly shattered on the ground. Alma, having walked past her room when it happened, heard the shattering of the glass and threw open the door. Mirabel accidentally slipped, already on the floor trying to clean up the glass, and cut herself. She bite the inside of her cheek, trying not to cry, as Abuela scolded her for her clumsiness. She sighed and eventually left, leaving Mirabel to clean up the mess by herself. Dolores, hearing the commotion, came up to check on Mirabel after Abuela left. She opened the door to a tear-streaked Mirabel cleaning up the glass, tiny cuts all over her hands.
"Are you going to yell at me, too? I deserve it." Dolores frowned and walked over to her, kneeling down to help her clean up the glass.
"Of course not, prima. And you don't deserve it. Any of it. Abuela's... just in a bad mood is all." Having picked up the last pieces, Mirabel stands and dumps them into her garbage and Dolores follows suit.
"She's always in a bad mood," She mutters before looking up at Dolores, smiling slightly. "Thanks for the help." Dolores smiles, handing her an arepa.
"Anytime."
"You just make everything worse." Isabela spits, turning away from Mirabel. She had just come out of the kitchen, having had a talk with Abuela about her proposal to Mariano. Mirabel had come up to her just before she entered her room to ask her if she was okay, a slightly far away look in her eyes. She had said nothing, just starting at Mirabel. Well, more like through her. Like she wasn't even there at all. Then her eyes sharpened and she scrunched up her nose like she smelled something sour.
"You just make everything worse"
Is what she had said before opening her door and slamming it in Mirabel's face, leaving her to process what her older sister had just said to her with unprovoked. Mirabel shakes her head, frowning.
She hated it when Abuela talked to Isabela.
I love this. I wouldnt be able to write this but I would love to read it.
New Idea
So I watched Encanto and I really liked the movie.
And if you watched it you can't look me at the eyes and say you didn't the similarities between the movie and Boku no hero academia!
The way the family (mostly Abuela Alma) and the village treat the gifts is similar to how BNHA's society treats quirks.
So there is this AU for whoever wants to try it! I won't... at least not right now, I still need to finish two chapter for two different fics... and I have self control!
Anyways...
So, An AU in BNHA world, the Madrigals are a known family of superheroes, specially in Latin America but they live in Japan because of UA (since is supposed to be the best school for heroes)
And Casita is an AI house.
Pedro died when their kids were little during a mission, both him and Alma were spotlight heroes, his quirk was that he could control wind, he was Ehecalt (wind in nahualt), I'm giving Alma a quirk too for plot relevance I know she didn't have a gift either in the movie, her quirk will be fire, she can control any preexistent fire and the flames she produce aren't as hot and dangerous as the normal fire but the light could be blinding, she used to fight with different fire producer support gear so she had something to do damage. Her hero name was Candelaria
Now that Pedro was dead, the legacy of the Madrigal name felt heavier in her shoulders and she knew the world would be paying a lot of attention to their children once they got their quirks and when they could start training to be heroes.
She, like Pedro, also came from a long line of famous heroes, but getting married to a Madrigal just helped to be more recognized, since the Madrigal have a trajectory of hundred years being heroes in different areas, the family has heavy expectations and just like she was raised to fulfill them in her own family and then in the family of her husband, she is ready to raise her family the same way... but we know she is going to get it to her head and that won't end well.
The moment the kids in the family manifest their quirks their future is decided, their quirk will say what kind of hero they will be.
Pepa is a spotlight hero, number five in rankings, she is the weather hero Gaia.
Julieta is a rescue hero and doctor (like Recovery Girl) She is the healer hero Curandera (I or you could come up with a better hero name later)
Bruno, with his quirk he could have been the same kind of hero like Sir Nighteye, but since his vision were 70% of the time bad omen his quirk quickly started to be considered villainous, because of the power and influence of the Madrigal family he didn't face the same difficulties as other persons with "villainous quirks" but there were still people talking, of course Alma didn't like that, and pretty much like in the movie he blamed Bruno, maybe not agreeing that his quirk was villainous but believing it was a useless, she still tried to give it good use.
Because of the reputation of Bruno's quirk, when he said he wanted to be an underground hero she begrudgingly accepted, because she still wanted her son to be like Nighteye, but if he became an underground hero that would mean less people talking bad about his quirk and ergo the family. Besides their family also has some underground heroes on their lineage.
In this AU he didn't disappear, but he kind of cut ties with the family, mostly with his mother, his closest relationships are with his sisters and with Mirabel who was the only who openly saw the good of his quirk and thought it was cool and useful.
I'm giving Augustin and Felix quirks too because of the plot
Felix is also a spotlight hero, he can gather kinetic energy from his movements and release it in the form of electricity from his body, his hero name is Kin (again, feel free to come up with something better)
Augustin is an underground hero, his quirk is similar to Kirishima's but instead of stone his body becomes of a flexible and indestructible material ( I thought it would be nice since he is prone to accidents) his hero name is Endure (same thing with Felix and Julieta's hero names)
Now with the kiddos, now, here Alma is obessessed to keep the Madrigal legacy, so she doesn't care if the kids actually want to be heroes, they are going to and she doesn't even care what kind of hero they want to be, she decides if they go spotlight, underground, twilight, rescue, etc because of their quirks, she even decides their herosona and how they would act on dutty.
So, Isabella is a spotlight hero, her hero persona is a perfect lady, like in the movie, her hero name is Flora, and while in truth she does like being a spotlight hero she would like to be more wild with her hero persona, not be so graceful and use certain kind of plants that her Abuela doesn't approve of, she doesn't want to be a perfect lady, she wants to be a crazy and fun hero with a silver tongue, maybe like Midnight but without the R-18 part, she actually wanted to be called Venus (like the carnnivourus plant), but we know what Alma would think about it.
Luisa is also a spotlight, recently graduated from UA, she actually wanted to go underground since she doesn't like the attention from being spotlight but since her quirk was flashy and powerful Abuela thought that would have been a waste (wining some hard feelings from Bruno and Augustin), her hero name is Hipólita (like the Amazonian queen)
Dolores, she is an underground hero, her quirk allows her to hear where trouble is and to predict her opponents' movements, her hero name is Luna, because like the moon that sees what happens at night, her quirks allows her to hear and know what happens at night during patrol. She actually didn't want to be a hero, she wanted to be a detective, she is a Naomasa fan, and she knows her hearing could be useful in investigations and spying but alas, she had to be a hero because Abuela said so.
Camilo, when he got his quirk Abuela decided he could do well as a twilight hero, doing some spotlight job but also helping in the underground since he had the perfect disguises with his mutation, Camilo will be attending UA in this au. But he doesn't want to be a hero either, he wants to be a comedian, he loves to make people laugh and hero work is too serious and too much responsibility for him, but he doesn't have an option. His hero name will be Camaleón
When Antonio got his quirk at five (everybody was nervous when he didn't get it at four because of what happened with Mirabel) Abuela decided he could be a spotlight hero, but he still has time to train, but Antonio wants to be a zoologist, but even at five he knows better than to say so.
And Mirabel, when he was four and her quirk didn't come they at first thought she was a late bloomer, until at eight she was still with no quirk so they saw a doctor and she was revealed to be quirkless, extra pinky toe joint and all.
The family was worried because of two things, one they know the statistics and how their little Mirabel will be treated because of being quirkless, and two, Abuela's reaction, because even if they know she won't out right treat Mirabel like trash, they do know she will be highly displeased, and that she actually has some quirkist tendencies, maybe not from hate and with the intention of being cruel, but if you are not good for heroics then you are sure to have a hard time with her, Bruno is the proof and Abuela has always been a littler harder with Dolores until she proved her quirk was useful too.
And since all her life was about being a good hero and quirks, Alma is of the quirkist that think that quirkless people are not suited for heroics, so when Mirabel didn't got a quirk she was disappointed and started to treat her different, like a burden most of the time and was lowkey isolating her from her sisters and cousins since she didn't want her to distract them. Because of her family Mirabel didn't have a time as hard as other quirkless kids, but she was bullied in other ways, she was isolated and treated like she wasn't even there or like she was a waste of space, she also knew she was lucky, that other kids face much much much worse than her.
But since this Mirabel, she is still optimist and at firt took her quirlessness in stride.
I can see two ways of how this thing can go:
1. Mirabel doesn't want to be a hero, what she wants is to be in support and help from the backstage, we know Maribel is good with sewing and embroidery and I think that was her attemtp to be useful and have a gift of her own, so she does the same but with support, the embroidery and sewing is still a hobby for her so she is also into costume designe. Since she doesn't have a quirk she thought Abuela wouldn't force her into heroics, which she didn't but Mirabel didn't know she would ignore her or be so harsh with her, but okay, no problem, she can still be a good support creator and costume designer.
While getting ready for UA entrance examen she meets Quirkless!Izuku, they bond over being quirkless and she is the first to believe in Izuku's dream. They become friends and she becomes Izuku's support technician (Sorry Mei)
Or...
2. She still wants to be a hero despite being quirkless, she wants to be an underground hero like her papa and tio Bruno, but nobody but Bruno, Camilo and in a lesser scale her parents are supportive of her, Abuela actually becomes like All Might in this kind of fic, but a lot harder in Mirabel than All Might usually is with Izuku. Luisa thinks her baby sister will end hurt or dead, Isabela like in the movie resents her since she doesn't have the same pressure than her, so when she still wants to be a hero she becomes angry and just as bad as in the movie with her, like Bakugou but less explosive and abusive (physically at least).
Dolores does believes Mirabel can be a hero, but since it took her a lot get on Abuela's good graces she doesn't dare to show her support. Pepa and Felix decide to remain neutral, they don't voice their opinions, which is that with the proper training Mirabel could do it, but they don't dare say it to Abuela.
Antonio is team Mirabel oc and he shows his support, but after being scolded by Alma for doing that he starts to show it in secret.
Julieta and Augustin do think Mirabel could do it but they don't stand up for her enough and are a lot hesitant to show their support because deep down they are also worried about her safety because of her lack of quirk.
Camilo is 100% that if someone is going to be the first quirkless hero that is his cousin, but he knows better than to say so, but he still shows his full support in private and even teach what he can from his own training to Mirabel.
Since Bruno already has a stained relationship with the family he is the only one who openly supports Mirabel, until Abuela threatens to forbid any interaction he would have with her, after that he helps her in secret.
Bruno trains her in secret and at some point she meets Quirkless!Izuku and they bond over being quirkless, discriminated and wanting to be heroes, they become friends and Bruno ends helping the green bean train too, because until that point he was doing all self taught. They both got into UA's hero course, Mirabel decides to take the entrance exam with her friend instead the recommendation exam (because Bruno would totally recommend his niece) because she wants to do this with Izuku.
They do this in secret of course, so the family doesn't know until the first day of school, Camilo knew because he saw his cousin during the entrance exam, they at first thought Mirabel applied for the general education course, but when they saw the single button in the shoulders of her uniform they confront her, or more like Abuela does, but since Mirabel was accepted in the course there is nothing she could do, after that Abuela treats her worse.
To add salt to the wound, Mirabel got into 1-A with Izuku while Camilo got into 1-B
From class 1-A I'm kicking out Mineta and Sato, Mineta because I don't like him and I want Shinsou to be there, and Sato because I need a spot for Mirabel and I don't know I don't think I would miss him so much(?
For the curious ones: Izuku got first place and Mirabel second, you can change that if you want to use this AU but this is my version.
Also, since Izuku is my comfort character that means I have to make him suffer before giving him the world soooo, in this AU Inko is either dead, abusive/neglectful or Izuku is homeless.
Bruno and Mira of course notice, again they are not dumb and they know what normal quirkless kids with not powerful family go through. The problem is Bruno doesn't have an emergency foster license and bringing Izuku to casita with Abuela is not an option, and despite it not being any good, they know that Izuku is still better in wherever he is at the moment than in the system, the system is just not a option, they know that would be a death sentence, so intead they help in any way they can, giving him clothes, food, blankets, medical attention for the day when the bullying/abuse is too much and Bruno starts the process to get a license.
Lucky for them this AU comes with Dadzawa and Dadmic, they will eventually take care of the green problem child.
Also, Mirabel is also a problem child, Aizawa calls them the problem child duo, Izu is green problem child and Mira is loud problem child (because her energy reminds him of his husband)
Bakugo faces consequences along with Aldera is required, Bakugou redemption is optional, I personally don't know, depends of my mood.
Abuela redemption is also optional, I mean Endeavor got a redemption in the manga and Abuela got hers in the movie so it's up to you, I'm personally a little more inclined to say fuck it and don't redeem her. Isabela redemption is also optional, I probably will give it to her.
The class being supportive is up to you too, I like to think the some will be supportive and the ones that are not their reason is because they think quirkless people are fragile, they will do some microaggression but their discrimination come from ignorance and they are all willing to learn and do better, of course some will need some wake up calls, the only one to be actively quirkist shit will be Bakugou.
All Might bashing because it became my guilty pleasure, besides he
did some dumb shit in canon soooo.
Nedzu-sensei for Izuku too, everybody is terrified, the green bean is a genius and Nedzu is happy with his new personal student, Mirabel is both happy and terrified for his friend, she eventually warms up to the idea because the confidence boost Izu gets from that and because all the chaos they now can do together.
Bruno and Aizawa friendship because I say so.
Mirabel and Izuku becomes an underground duo and the first quirkless heroes.
Ships: Erasermic obviously, and my OTP TDDK but this is also optional, I'm not shipping Mirabel with anybody.
And that's I have for now, feel free to ask any question you may have or to share ideas, also if you are going to write about it please tag me!
What if Mirabel just... left after the whole Antonio's Gift ceremony night argument with Alma? Like, she just couldn't take it anymore and just disappears up and over the mountain. She takes a bag of fruit and water and that's it. And honestly? They probably wouldn't notice for a solid 24 hours because Alma would just brush off the fact she wasn't at breakfast.
"She must have gone into town already" or "She's probably around somewhere"
And the family would be too busy helping around in the town that only after they sit down to eat that they truly start to worry. Julieta would ask Dolores if she could hear Mirabel anywhere and Antonio would go check her room. Only after Dolores says she can't hear Mirabel anywhere and Antonio says she's not in her room, do they start to panic. Pepa and her kids would start to check around the village while Julieta and her kids would check around the house. Alma would just continue with her dinner, thinking Mirabel is hiding somewhere.
Here's the kicker though. When Julieta goes to check in Mirabel's room again, she sees someone in there. She thinks it's Mirabel and runs up to hug her but when Mirabel is slightly taller than her, she pulls away quickly then gasps to see Bruno kneeling by Mira's bed. Julieta asks "Bruno! Where have you been?" But when he shakes his head and he starts crying, she hugs him again. "Bruno, hermanito, what happened? What's wrong?" He sniffs and pulls away, handing Julieta a crumpled piece of paper.
"I found this in her garbage can." And he hands her Mirabel's goodbye letter, pretty much saying 'Im sorry I hurt the family. Please know that I never meant to and I love all of you so much. Hopefully me leaving is for the best'. Julieta just stares at it until she starts breaking down, realizing that not only has Mirabel, her daughter, her little girl, been gone since the night before, but left because she thought she was hurting the family.
Obviously the rest of the family find her and Julieta is the one that has the big end of the movie fight that Mira had with her and then Casita crumbles and they can't really fix Casita because Mirabel isn't there to help. (They kinda fix it but don't get their gifts back). Julieta and Luisa go looking for Mirabel past the mountains (Isabela still needing to be perfect more than ever for Alma) and don't find Mirabel for at least a few weeks and although Mirabel is relieved to see her family (and surprised they came looking for her) she doesn't want to go back home :(
Star Wars! Encanto AU where Alma and Pedro got married on (insert SW planet here) and Pedro was a Jedi who defected after falling in love with Alma. During Order 66, they hunt down every jedi, so Pedro is eventually hunted down and killed. Alma escapes and starts a new life, still leading a small town of people fleeing from the Empire. The miracle however is when each triplet reaches 5 years old, they start showing signs they have force powers, but each one has a more 'specific' force power, or some they kind of have a specialty in. Such as Julieta still having the ability to heal others quickly, Bruno having visions about the future, and Pepa having force empathy (she can usually always feel what other people do and can even make others feel a certain way/emotion).
Then the kids come, where Luisa can move things (yes the entire family can do this but she can lift very large, very heavy things with the force. The most the others can do is probably about 25-50 pounds). Isabela can manipulate environmental things, but mostly can pull 'life force' out of something (plants, trees, etc) or push 'life force' into things and make them grow/be very healthy. Of course, she's never tried this on a living being before and honestly doesn't want to try. Dolores has super hearing still, but also has the ability to feel those around her. Such as, if there were 20 different people just standing around her, she could tell you who was there and where they were standing. Camilo can kinda do the "this is not the droid you are looking for" kind of mind manipulation. And so, on top of that, he can make someone think he looks like someone else. With further practice, he can even make doppelgängers of himself or others, but can only last about 5/10 minutes. Antonio has a similar power to Isabela, being connected to environmental things, but rather can still hear what animals say and how they feel.
Mirabel, of course, does not have any force powers. This is about how far Ive gotten with this thinking, so if you have any more ideas, let me know!!
