"No offense" the irony
no offense, but what do arrow haters still have left to hate about arrow?
olicity aren’t together and haven’t been for the last 7 episodes of the season, so you can stop bitching about “comicbook canon” if that’s why you hate the show.
if you’re bitter (still??) about laurel, they literally retconned her after she died to make her seem more important and better than she was throughout ALL FOUR seasons of the show. let’s not forget, laurel used tommy to try to get over oliver, she blamed all her problems on quentin and oliver, she lied about sara’s death for months, and left nyssa at nanda parbat to face malcolm alone, among other things. they’re making team arrow act like everyone came to laurel for advice when really she just got in their way. they also put earth 2 laurel on the flash to try to make you guys happy (which is literally fanservice, by the way, stop accusing olicity fans of fanservice when you guys attack and bully the writers into giving you fanservice).
laurel’s death is literally not sexism. many beloved characters in the past, both male and female, have been permanently killed off. examples: tommy, moira, and sara (and, lbr, sara was only killed up to set up LAUREL’S storyline. sara lance, one of the few bisexual women in the universe and in general on TV, died so you laurel fans could be happy about the true black canary or whatever. now sara has been forced into a whitewashed role when in reality she is the only black canary that matters, i will always be angry about this). just face the facts: laurel has never been important on the show. she has always treated oliver (and felicity and diggle, even) with cruelty. she was never part of OTA and never will be. comics!laurel did deserve a better debut into live action tv, but arrow!laurel has literally never been written very well and katie cassidy is not a good actor (she’s not a good person either, she appropriated latino culture and talked shit about her costars, so stop trying to defend her)
if you’re annoyed at the “cheesiness” of the show, it’s called character development? oliver queen struggles with ptsd, anxiety and other mental illnesses. in fact, every character on the show has suffered at least traumatic event. yes, it’s sometimes boring that conflicts can be resolved by hope, but it just shows how far they have come. being a good person shouldn’t be looked down upon.
if you’re mad it isn’t like the flash, ?????? the flash has magical superpowers and magic special effects. obviously it’s nothing like arrow, and that’s a good thing. arrow works best when grounded in reality, and OTA, and olicity.
you guys keep saying arrow has gone to shit since season 2, but do you not realize that the reasons you don’t like arrow now were present in season 2 as well? guess who was the black canary in season 2? it was sara, not laurel. laurel was even less important then as she is now. there were way more OTA moments that made the show genuinely relatable (so i’m not sure why yall are shitting on them now), slade was a villain close to oliver, and the stunts were also super badass. and now, ironically, these are the same thematic elements you apparently hate on the show?
at the end of the day, arrow is only a tv show. it uses the characters from the comics, but nobody ever said it had to follow storyline by storyline. there are things beyond your control, particularly CHEMISTRY and your audience. most arrow viewers do not watch for the comics, sorry. lau/r/iver did not work on screen like it did on the comics, so just accept it and enjoy both versions.
ok, lastly, to everyone who genuinely think arrow will be cancelled next year: it is currently the second highest rated cw show. even if the ratings decline a lot, the cw would not be dumb enough to cancel. its superhero shows give it the most buzz, especially the crossovers. this is the same network that has given spn, of all shows, ELEVEN seasons and counting. this is the same network that literally renewed all their shows this year and are still adding new ones. many other shows on it, such as crazy ex gf and jtv, have way lower ratings on their first seasons than arrow on its FOURTH season. if you hate the show so much, stop watching and stop harassing the people that do. being mad that laurel died is not a legitimate reason to call out the writers (legitimate reasons would include: homophobia, racism, etc)

Rihanna joins "Once Upon a Time"
Reporter Reynolds Antol Exclusively learns that ABC's Hit TV Series "Once Upon a Time" is getting the "Work" singer, Rihanna to join in multiple episodes of season 6! She is joining the show for an unknown arc and "mysterious" character, alongside the return of Merrin Dungey who plays the sea witch Ursula in the show. Adam Horowitz, one of the writers hints that she has "some sort of connection to Ursula" Could we assume that she is related to Ursula in some way? In fact we don't know much about Ursula's story.
