In case anyone was wondering (and in case it helps), these are the 4 things I combined:

- 1 g Paracetamol

- 2 Ginger extract pills

- 1 strong cup of coffee over half an hour (I had to hold my breath for the first sips, because I was so nauseous I couldn't even hold it close to my face)

- binaural beats

No idea what actually helped (or if it was just the migraine stopping after 2-3 days of feeling miserable), but I'm okay-ish now.

I combined 4 remedies (different types) in the past +3 hours I've been awake and dying, and now I feel myself going into migraine hangover. If you add that to the fact that I burst into tears half an hour ago, all I want to do right now is to cocoon in my bed (my vision is blurry, so I'm not really of use working today). Alas, I can't really go to the ER anymore with a migraine hangover, so I have to work anyway.

I can't believe I have to say this, but here's a gentle reminder that if someone is a polyglot, and they're telling you something they're mentally translating and make a grammatical error (because they're following the rules of the original language), and you make fun of them, you're an ass.

I was telling my coworkers about an article I read this morning (in Spanish), about the weather. Since the weather phenomenon is called "El Niño", my brain switched to Spanish even if I was speaking Dutch, so I said "Australianen" (based on "australianos" in Spanish and "Australians" in English), instead of "Australiërs", and the one that's the bane of my existence immediately laughed and made fun of it. I'd like to see her juggling 4 languages she's fluent in daily (plus the one with basic competences).

If you combine my consistently high BG over the past weeks, the fact that I'm not really sleeping well, that I had a starting migraine this morning, and that work is being a bit more challenging these weeks (also because we've had vacations, so follow-ups are a bit harder to get, back-ups sometimes mess up...), I have been 2 seconds from puking my guts out for three days.

I just found out that a deadline that I thought was on the 9th of June is actually the 9th of May, and I'm about to pass out from stress (bullshitted my way out of it, by the way, I could pretend I'm way more prepared than I actually am).

As I'm falling down the Derry Girls rabbit hole, I'm reading a book where up to this point, a character names Michelle and one named Erin have appeared.

Today has been proof (for myself to realize, really), how badly in shape I am, how sedentary my life is, and how my diabetes is out of control partly because of it.

By BG had been high for a few days now. I bolus to fix it, but it only does so much. I went for a slow-ish walk today with my aunt's neighbor and her dogs, and my BG was stable for a while. Then I had coffee and a little food and everything went to shit again. I then came back to the city, and since the weekends are reserved for reparations, my train stopped at the other side of the city from where I live. I walked for 27 minutes (with a cello, laptop bag, and easily 5 kg of food in my overnight bag), and got the tram. I went from 270 to 89. Like, the moment I started "exercising" (even if it was just walking), it got to an okay level. Makes you think, I guess.

I've entered a competition to go to avant-premiere of The Fall Guy in Berlin next week. The announcement mentions only Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt (several times throughout the thing). Meanwhile, here I am thinking "if I actually get to meet Hannah Waddingham I'll lose it".

I just went and wrote a fucking 2-minute-and-a-half script for a podcast I thought about yesterday in 10 minutes, using a scriptwriting software I've never really used until today, in under 50 minutes, and was able to submit it for grading 3 minutes before the deadline.

What bugs me the most is that everybody who's had the chance to review the idea (not a lot of people, I must admit, most of us were too busy finishing our own ideas to give the mandatory feedback on other people's projects) said it was a necessary podcast. There is a podcast competition it would perfectly fit in. But since I'm the most anxious procrastinator in the world, I won't submit it, it hasn't been developed to even half of its potential, and it's another good idea wasted.

Whatever. I'll pass, and I'm tired.
