Howdy! I’m Cal, some also call me Calcifer, and if you’ve probably known me for too long you may know me as G or Gii but those days have passed. I use he/him and occasionally they/them pronouns and I’m 23 years old. I have a lot of OCs that I don’t really put online much except on my tiktok (@giicosplays) where I’m a memer and a stupid. Enjoy my museum of past present and future me.

I think, sadly, I must concede now, you have given inarguable truth and evidence. You truly have bested me in Labyrinth knowledge and semantics, and therefore have been a worthy adversary.
If you need someone to discuss Labyrinth, find my corner of the internet and I shall be excited to match wits again.
This is solely because it will bug me until the end of time if I don't say it.
In season 1, episode 2 of "Um, Actually" on Dropout, there is an incorrect statement and I must correct it.
Um, actually, in Labyrinth Jareth the goblin king did NOT take Toby from Sarah with the express intent to turn him into the next king, that was later added within hints in the novelization and through the (not so well written) manga series, as in the movie he intended to just turn Toby into a goblin until he starts bonding with Toby, but it is never said he will become the next goblin king.
Anyways, carry on.

I'm tempted to say you're right, HOWEVER, this was an early scenario, as you said, and therefore was not in the movie and is also not even considered canon!! That would be like pointing to their original desire to cast Michael Jackson as an example of Jareth having a different design!
The original "Um, Actually" prompt was discussing the movie and no other Labyrinth related media, therefore that is the only thing to be referenced directly unless stated otherwise.
This is fun do you wanna be friends now
This is solely because it will bug me until the end of time if I don't say it.

As I had said, yes, in other merchandise and canon media it is said he would have made Toby heir, however the movie itself never says it and it is only implied lightly through Jareth's interactions with Toby, but never outright stated there.
Yes I'm pettily proving you wrong, this is the ONE THING that I have near unending knowledge of no one will take this from me
This is solely because it will bug me until the end of time if I don't say it.

I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THAT THANK YOU
hi this is just a reminder how awesome of an homage Cinderella's Castle is to the original source material.
Examples:
- Ella gets her gifts from a "woman" in a tree just as the original has her doing, and by using starlight, a multicolored dress, and armor pieces for the gifts it recons back to how Cinderella often had 3 separate dresses, one silver, one gold, and the last one varies from platinum to diamond to other colors and themes.
- Ella also gets 3 gifts which relates to the original ball taking place over 3 separate nights.
- The stepmother cuts off Ella's feet and sews them to one of the stepsister's "skin suits" which is similar to the original story of the stepsisters each cutting off part of their foot to fit the slipper, one a toe and one a heel.
- Technically not Cinderella, but in the original Snow White fairytale the evil queen is forced to wear shoes of hot metal during the wedding as punishment for her cruelty, which is shown via the slippers burning any foot that is not Ella's own.
- Of course Sir Hopalot and Crumb are simple comparisons for the creatures turned into footmen and horses
- This one is a bit of a stretch but having the stepsisters wear the skins of Lucy and Justine means that the suits themselves are technically blind, harkening back to how the stepsisters were blinded by birds in the original story.
- Similarly, the original story has birds blind the step family, and the starlight has a similar effect
Feel free to add more if you think of any, this is just off the top of my head!

No this is so true. I have had multiple students say the craziest out of pocket things and we just go with it. Literally not 10 minutes ago I had a student tell me that he has two horses, because he rode one to his lesson with me so he could meet the invisible one in the classroom. Just before the lesson began he had said they were horse kissing in the corner.
Teachers deal with so much crazy shit that we just accept anything at this point.
Accurate portrayl of being a teacher just so busy and tired.

Horns growing out of a student? Check to make sure medically they fine then move on

Rewatching the Breakfast Club and the scene where Allison and Claire get into a debate about s*x is so fascinating. You can see how Allison is just excited to get a rise out of Claire and have this connection, but the moment the boys start really harping on Claire about the answer to whether she's had s*x suddenly Allison looks really uncomfortable and tries to reassure her in some way.

why do I see a ridiculous amount of ppl saying cinderella's castle is mid or some variation of tht sentiment?? Like??? srry it isn't filled to the brim w parody jokes? or has scene after scene w horrifying implications?? & I'm so srry tht they use puppets of a caliber I'd expect out of Jim Henson's workshop & have multiple beautiful wigs just for their title character & tht the world of the show has rich lore we r given glimpses of & tht the show has catchy songs & dozens of throw away lines rife w foreshadowing & tht it subverts fantasy/fairy tale tropes multiple times & has an eldritch fae queen goddess who sings a beautiful song... I'm sooooo sorry they don't do a parody musical abt some fascist transphobic pretend feminists only notable work anymore, how sad how heartbreaking

No yall don’t understand, Putrice and Rancilda didn’t have skin suits the entire time Ella knew them only for her to have one good day with her childhood friends and with people who don’t hate her, only for her stepsisters to wear their skin
Cinderellas castle is a horror musical if you think about the implications

“May I please draw your OC?”
Reblog this message if you encourage anyone that wants to draw your OC to do so. No need to ask for permission in advance.
Go for it. Draw my OC. If you want, I’ll even give you reference posts. Go to town on it.
You are welcome to draw my OC and surprise me with the result. Seriously. In fact, I encourage it. I will proudly display whatever it is you submit to me regarding my OC. There is a chance that I will squeal about it for several days.
Even if you feel you aren’t good at whatever artistic adventure it is you do, please feel free to submit it to me. I want to see what you have done.

seeing people my age talk about how scared they are of memory loss, which they only associate with old age, is so surreal to see as a 24 year old who has actively experienced memory loss for a long time now
there are causes for memory loss besides dementia and alzheimer’s, i hope y’all know that. dissociative disorders, trauma, brain injuries, thyroid problems, even just stress and lack of sleep can fuck up your ability to store, process, and access memory. and that’s just a few of the many causes i can think of off the top of my head right now.
please stop treating disabled people like some scary “other” that you might become only in the distant, decades-away future. we are your age, too. you may become one of us sooner than you know. stop acting like memory loss marks the end of a life, when so many of us have so much living left to do!

Top-Tier Villain Motivations
They will be safe. It doesn't matter who else or what else burns as long as They will be safe.
I will be safe. The hunger and the cold will never touch me again.
Fuck any bitch who's prettier(/cooler/better-liked/better at making dumplings) than me.
Yes, Master
Love me. Love me. Love me. Love me. LOVE ME!
I know the terrible things these so-called "heroes" will do if I don't stop them (<- is absolutely wrong)
I don't want a better future, I want a better past!
No other way to get performance art funded these days
