Actually yeah! I deliberately left out hammerhead sharks in general, because I despise you specifically 🥰 Good eye!
Okay apologies tumblr user stardustcrusaders, I couldn’t resist TToTT It’s been a while since I’ve had anyone reblog this poll! If only I knew what would happen upon posting it….
(TUMBLR POLLS HAVE A 12 OPTION LIMIT IF I COULD’VE FEATURED OTHER SHARKS I WOULD’VE. MOST NOTES FROM THIS POST ARE PEOPLE WONDERING WHERE A SPECIFIC SHARK IS, I AM ALREADY AWARE)
Hey, here's an interesting question.
As I'm evil, there is no "Other" option because I know people will answer with "all sharks/all of the above" — and, well, I wanted to fit as many sharks as I could. Shark candidates gathered very scientifically (what I see most often on tumblr dot com webbed site). No answer is the "right" answer — except YOUR fave, of course — I'm just curious to see which shark will get the most votes! All sharks is good sharks :>
“Despite the UN resolution calling for a ceasefire, the IDF ramped up bombings of Gaza on Monday night, describing them as the largest in weeks. Damage and loss of life was reported across the Gaza Strip, including 18 people, nine of them children, in an airstrike on one residential building in the northeast of Rafah.”
They can grind their pharyngeal teeth to create clicking noises, which they use to communicate with one another! These fish are well known for their funny behaviour, like sleeping on their side and piling on top of their fellow conspecifics.
Posting only the art I made inspired by this question on tumblr! Hope you like it!
I made this sketch for an idea I had a long time ago exploring the idea of the famous myth that sharks "smell a drop of blood in 2 million liters of water" and become uncontrollably frenzy.
This scene depicts a distant event in the past history of my shark civilization.🦈✨
Oceanic Whitetip Sharks are not diurnal which means they are active both day and night. They rely on ram breathing (they have to constantly swim to pump oxygen over their gills), so they never sleep. They are nicknamed the “Dark Knight of the Ocean” (<- -- I appreciate this nickname because I love Batman lol) because they tend to hunt mostly at nighttime. Though they are primarily nocturnal, they will opportunistically feed during the day if an easy meal presents itself.
every time I look up anything about annelid worms I end up learning about some ridiculous creature that I now cannot imagine life without. this is a freshwater worm called Pristina that looks like a sock puppet mixed with a moray eel
