I figured I'd organize the very messy thread I made on Twitter into some semblance of a base for fanfic and post it here:

ZAR sounds like he could whisper talk to you about flowers while dressed in dark academia clothes as the smell of fresh newspaper fills the room, holding your hand gently as soft music plays in the background in a tiny room lit only by a candle at 10 pm on a gently windy night. He'd talk about all the different kinds of flowers he likes, what they mean, and why he likes them so much, laughing gently as you agree with him about his flower preferences, letting you hug him gently as the wind rattles the curtains of the cracked open window, creating such a perfect gentle and loving vibe that you wish you never have to leave the room. There wouldn't be any flowers in the room so he'd take out a sketchbook and some old colored pencils and draw the flowers for you so you could see them. He'd say that the prettiest ones remind you of him, making sure to spend extra time coloring them so they look perfect. Like think the Eternal Ballroom but smaller, and with a window, a small antique couch, and some tables and a bookshelf all cluttered with books and inkpots and quills and a comforting smell that calms you to just the right degree.

Carl is laying on the couch asleep, and whenever Zach isn't saying that the flowers remind him of you, he's saying they remind him of Carl because you and Carl make him the happiest in life. It's a little cold in the room, so Carls' wearing a little red doggie jacket. Zach is matching with him.

but have you seen this longer version? with Sid’s jeans crying out for mercy? and pretty much this ENTIRE bunch of flightless birds (except, like, Murr and Ruhwedel) experiencing varying degrees of failure?

Carl Hagelin’s empty-net goal was such a trip. There’s the bench celebrating, the coaches ducking to avoid stray sticks, the fans throwing trash onto the ice, Matt Murray celebrating on his side of the ice.

And then there’s Trevor Daley. Literally writhing on the ice.
