Dunno how I never saw this one before, the presentation in it is immaculate. He makes some minor blunders here and there but I'll forgive him because he also finds some things I never actually saw.

The Yogscast making Red Matter Bomb merch is already pretty suspect because they are profiting off of nostalgia for a moment that involved two sex pests, one of whom still has fans and is currently attempting a comeback, but stealing intellectual property to do so is really the shit icing on the shit cake.

(I know that the Red Matter Bomb is an item in current TTT videos, but the only reason it exists in TTT in the first place is nostalgia, so it all leads back to the original point.)

Looks like the yogscast are up to their old tricks of stealing artwork for merch. @DarkGuardsman for more details, her art was used for an easter egg or something.

What a stupid piece of merch in the first place... $11.25 for a shitty egg in a cardboard box...

And yeah this is a classic fuckup. The Yogscast knows it can't sell, for example, a Minecraft style dirt block, because Microsoft would flay them alive. But since it takes longer than two seconds to find the original artist credited on a mod, and since the Yogscast's artists can't be bothered to, you know, make art, it seems so easy and victimless to simply rip the art directly.

Literally "a victimless crime, like punching someone in the dark," because the Yogscast is blatantly fucking someone over, deliberately not trying to find out if there is a person to fuck over in order to pretend to have plausible deniability, and banking on the original artist not noticing or having died in the interim or whatever.

They have to axe the product and apologize or fork over a real fucking cut of the pie for once.

Now, I'm not really advocating his behaviour but it's always something that bothered me at the time it happened. The statements about him grooming minors were brought up fairly frequently. I want to clarify I'm not denying that as we have no proof to suggest either being true. If it were true though, he'd be in prison, no? It's still breaking UK laws, and growing up I went to school with someone who was convicted and sentenced for what he was accused of.

I'm going to guess that prosecution rates for grooming minors are similarly dismal, and the example from your school is the exception rather than the norm. Now, I understand that rationale, but subtweeting Sjin, in Radderss’ case, Voldemorting him, is not a better response than calling him out by name.

On one hand, you can avoid upsetting his victims by not talking about him.

On the other hand, you can upset his victims by refusing to be as vocal now as you needed to be before they got victimized and remaining complicit.

I’m not really seeing the benefits of the first option behind the benefits of the second. Not to mention we’re really not talking about not mentioning him at all, actually practicing option one seems to involve subtweeting and drawing attention to Sjin and highlighting him for his victims, while keeping anyone who doesn’t know about him in the dark. So it’s really just “I need to tweet my anger about Sjin but I don’t want anyone to look in my direction” painted a pretty color.

Realistically, in terms of how you kill Sjin’s channel, you ruin his fans’ ability to easily communicate with one another without being reminded of what people think of him and his fans (clog up his comments section and fan-run subreddits) continue to report him in order to break his access to add revenue, and, my favorite, catfish him aggressively on any social media he tries to use.

I joked about that before, didn’t I? Well now’s the time, right? Raise your hand if you feel like impersonating a child in order to obtain pictures of Sjin’s dick, we’ll make a game of it. I will legit consider making a bounty for anyone who can successfully catfish him.

If he’s bold enough to talk to fans again, I want him to live in fear that everyone he talks to is actually thirty and taking screenshots of the bullshit he’s saying to be posted here.

Just wanted to clarify and reinforce our stance (which has not changed in the last two years). Sjin took advantage of his position to emotionally manipulate and sexually harass members of our community and our friends. These actions are reprehensible and he is not welcome in our communities.

I would ask folks to be respectful of this and remain sensitive to other Yogscast creators, many of whom will not want to discuss him or be reminded of his content.

We’re always striving to make the Yogscast stronger and safer for everyone and I hope that you agree that this is a community we can feel proud to be a part of.

I know they’re too fucking corporate now for Lewis to do like he did to me, and lean into a mic and shout “FUCK YOU” at Sjin on stream. Instead it’s “these actions are reprehensible and he is not welcome.”

Really the phrase I was looking for was like a real, direct rebuff of the people who insist it’s some kind of inside job or that they ‘cancelled’ Sjin in response to the accusations rather than the veracity of them. I know Lewis thinks he’s too high up in his throne to do that, but it would make all of his content creators’ lives easier.

I really want Fonjask to sit on the last ten years of his life and spin. He’s never going to apologize but this policy has been horseshit from the first day people started mentioning what Sjin was doing on Tumblr. There’s just no atonement for it, and the fact he still thinks it holds up today is a testament to how much his own laziness overshadows actual concern for the consequences of his decisions.

I think it's probably a mistake to see this as an internet only problem, the way I was seeing it yesterday. It's a battle on two fronts. We'll all be here on the internet being pestered by his groomer apologists, but everyday Bouphe, Gee, and the rest walk into an office, or virtual office, and see Sjin AKA Paul Sykes the Pedogroomer has uploaded a video, I know it will be and want it to be an earthquake.

I don't wish for them to have a bad experience, but since the Pedogroomer is no longer an employee it's not harassment to, say, talk about what a piece of shit he is while streaming with someone who hasn't spoken up yet. ISP and Daltos have stood at the front far longer than any of the other boys of the Yogscast, and nobody has been at the front longer than the Pedogroomer's victims. If his goons want to hurl abuse I want to see them try when everyone on the Yogscast is shouting it together.

The Men of the Yogscast Are Shit

I'm glad other people are pointing out the silence of the men. It makes me so fucking mad that Yogscast members like Duncan and Sips won't even take two minutes to bang out a tweet in order to protect their own fans from a predator - a predator they helped platform.

Even the barest trace of accountability has to be dragged out of the Yogscast men by people (mostly the victims) yelling at them, and if there isn't any pressure they won't do it.

The Yogscast is completely irredeemable.
