"Exactly. Dangerous. Which means 'all hands on deck'." Oh hey. Look how well that worked. With them being on a pirate ship and all. "And besides, the moment we're alone, James and I are just going to sneak onto the island." Kind of like how they sneaked onto the ship. "So doesn't it just make more sense to skip over all that and you just take us with you?" It made sense to her.

Also, she was not giving up the dagger. "You should see what he gave James..."

"And my answer is still the same here." Emma shouldn't have been the least bit surprised to discover that they had sneaked onto Hook's ship to Neverland to come help their brother, but it only made her worry more, questioning whether she could even protect them.

"No. No... the same rules apply everywhere." Emma saw the dagger and her eyes widened in surprise. "Look kid, I know you want to help your brother... but this is dangerous. Anything can happen and I'm not about to put your life at risk too and Hook shouldn't have given you a dagger either..."

“Natural for us or natural for people who haven’t crossed realms and had their memories reset about fifty times?” Cause those were two VERY different things. 

The sound of music caught Anna’s attention as they got closer and Anna noticed banners an flyers proclaiming a Starlight Festival. Well that sounded fun... And non life threatening. So point for them.

“Will do.” Or not. Chances were, sometime in the next twenty minutes, Anna would just up and disappear. Dash down some alley as she followed some person or another, as was her way.

“Maybe this town in like the one in that old musical my mom likes. The one that only appears every so many years?” Anna had kind of zoned out in the middle of it, but the parts she remembered she liked. 

“Mhm.”  The chances she actually did would depend on what the two of them actually found.  He couldn’t loose track of her.

“Maybe.”  He said.  “I can’t be sure.  Not until we get actually in there.”  There were plenty of towns he certainly hadn’t seen.  “Just try to act natural I suppose.”

@ghxstwrxter Maybe that wasn’t helpful after all. “I had to get passed the dragon to move on.” Which was true; he’d had to hide the egg with the potion inside the dragon and escape to get back to Snow. David chose to focus on the dog as she sniffed and started leading them in a familiar direction. Anna and her brothers may not remember but her pet seemed to. “Maybe the pirate ship and mermaids are your own adventure.”

"Maybe... The guy who came to fetch us in New York. Mom's client. He dresses kind of like a pirate. Henry thinks maybe he's one of those Rennfair people. You know? He seems nice enough, though..."

As they got closer to the stables and Lady locked onto the scent of David's horse, she began barking excitedly. Cause friend! Her friend was there and waiting for them. Come on humans...

notes from the margin: school (4x13)

so just a few things from the montage at the beginning of 4x13. one, anna is both slightly amused and slightly horrified that apparently their grandmother has decided to be the next mr. feeny and just follow them through their academic career. she clearly started teaching like third or fourth grade and now she's teaching like 8th? (@ghxstwrxter has decided that this is because the old 8th grade teacher got left back in the enchanted forest when the new curse happened).

two, i love how half the time henry walks to school and the other half he takes the bus??? anna, i think, prefers the bus. walking is for dorks.

three, uniforms. ugh. anna is definitely pushing the limits when it comes to what still counts as being in uniform.

notes from the margin: the spell of shattered sight (4x11)

so clearly the kids are all locked / sealed into the mayor's office by regina. most likely in separate rooms so they can't hurt each other -- cause what would be the point of keeping them safe from everyone else if they're just gonna beat the crap out of one another.

however, in some corner of the multiverse they were definitely sealed in the same room cause just...EVERYONE SAYING EVERYTHING THEY'VE BEEN HOLDING BACK.

notes: the forest (4x08)

all three kids approaching emma in the forest. henry getting thrown back into the other two, only intensifying what emma is feeling.

emma going through all this...it definitely helps later when anna's own abilities begin to show.

while henry is a bit hesitant for emma to ask out hook ("no, but i want you to be happy"), anna is much more #teampirate. she spent time with hook in neverland. when they returned to storybrooke sans memories. after neal died. she likes him. and she likes emma with him. her hesitation comes more when things get serious. when its time for him to move in.

i feel like anna ends up watching over neal during the blackout. also, don't tell me that emma doesn't exploit the fact one of her kids is named anna (even if it is pronounced differently) to try and connect with elsa -- even before the magic discussion. all "anna, nice name".

one, i need the triplets interrupting emma and hook's kiss -- just banging on the diner window and being obnoxious cause why not.

two, anna is very upset that none of them warranted an invite to grandpa's wedding. she gets not inviting the whole town, but not inviting them??? rude.

anna might already have her memories back, but that doesn't mean she is saying no to getting to drive the truck. also, she would like it known that she is a much better driver than either of the boys. she did not hit a mailbox.

as david is the key to restoring anna's memories (grandpa for the win), i think anna might get her memories back following neal's funeral. a comforting hug, david being there for her like he's always been and voila! memories restored.

which starts to complicate things greatly. as her brothers still don't remember and this kind of kills emma's plan to take the kids back to real world. because anna's not going to return to new york now that she's been reunited with her family.
