Screenshots of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, including iWeb and iTunes. This was the last release before the iOS-ification of macOS, back when the Macintosh was still at the center of the Apple universe. It's more polished and refined than even current versions of Windows, and even though modern macOS has more useful features it's a shame that the level of care and polish that used to define Mac OS X is no longer present.

I love the "Science Mysteries" paragraph because it's the exact opposite of what Voyager was doing: "these stories need to involve our people on more than just a 'How are we going to TECH our way out of this?' level".
Under the control of Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, Voyager was nothing BUT "How do we TECH our way out of this?" stories that did not involve the characters on any deeper level. Berman and Braga were constitutionally incapable of writing good character stories, probably because they weren't human enough themselves.

Hi Robert! Could you tell us a bit more about this letter?
Back in the day, Star Trek shows took pitches from freelancers, either established writers or people who'd sent it impressive spec scripts. Every year we'd write up a letter like this. It would get sent to freelancers who'd landed pitch appointments, telling them roughly what kind of stories we were looking and what to avoid.
This is the letter we sent as we were wrapping up the writers room for Season 4 in anticipation of getting Season 5 pitches.
And that's about it.

Ira Steven Behr, during season six of Deep Space Nine: For this season, I invented Section 31 as a cautionary tale.
Current Star Trek producers: At long last, we have created a lovely little action flick based on Section 31 from the classic DS9 episode Don't Make a Lovely Little Action Flick About Section 31.

ALT TEXT: Picture of Galvatron from Transformers with a speech balloon that says "I know nothing about 'Operation Help Unicron Eat Planet Earth'. I disagree with some of the things Unicorn is saying. You Earth creatures are suckers and losers and personally I wouldn't eat even one of you, not even if you dipped yourself in Energon sauce. Anything Unicron does, I wish him luck."

Dr. Julian Bashir's clinical depression kicks in after the one-two punch of the Dominion prison camp and getting outed as an augment, and then rages unchecked for the rest of show.
The only thing he does is work, and every waking hour after that is spent getting cheap hits of serotonin. If you aren't down with holoprograms, I am so sorry, my man does not have the capacity to interact with you. Move along.
No one noticed he was replaced? Oh the changeling was actually... you- you liked him better? Yeah that's cool. haha guess I understand. Let's just pack that up to deal with never.
He's numb for so long that he's convinced that the first whisper of human emotion he manages to eke out must be something big and important like love. (I'm so sorry, Sarina, babe. He is too. He'll do it again, but he is sorry.)
And then he skillfully avoids getting help by fucking the only available therapist in the area. Depression-ass behavior.

I used to think that Gul Dukat from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was an implausible character. Like, sure, it's fun how every time he appears on screen he acts like he genuinely believes he's engaging in witty banter with a respected rival, while every single character he interacts with clearly doesn't respect him at all, but really, how could someone with that much power and authority be that bad at reading the room?
In light of recent events, however

I love how strong and passionate the star trek fandom is. It actually makes me want to watch the show. Like why are there so many of y'all? Why have you been here for *so* long? There must be a reason and the answers must be in the show

Funnily enough, that's basically what Bryan Fuller did and it's why he got fired.

“Excuse me, Commander Burnham. I was using your station to run calibration modeling programs. Let me just close some of this stuff out.”
We get a brief glimpse of Tilly’s “desktop” in 2x02, including a truly intimidating GENERAL TO DO list.
Make a list of my favorite plays
Read favorite plays
Organize movie night with crew
Subspace mom
Go over reading list and schedule
Exhibit stoic behavior when speaking to others
Do some light “working on myself”
Visit patients in sickbay
Home for a rest (understand my perception of home is in my mind)
Investigate inner workings
Keep strategizing for effective workload
Remember to always be thankful to have a roof over your head, food in your stomach and a good heart.
Get area rug for our room.
To thine own self be true, be light to others and myself.
I hope and dream of a new galactic peace.
Attitude is everything, communication is something, but action is best.
Follow orders for becoming a higher-ranking officer
Research Starfleet’s favorite opera
Make bed and organize laundry
Believe in myself - more
Be more self aware
Strategize my next knowledgeable moves in order to better retain knowledge.
Know that I am allowed to be happy, practice understanding my nervous energy
Do not forget to practice my standing posture
Schedule weekly jog
Return Mom’s last 5 messages
Do at least or more thing(s) for my health and myself, each day
Channel my energy in a positive way
Modular process training exercise (include running and other forms of exercise)
I should practice peaceful behavior, that way I can read people better
Can anyone hear you scream in the Mycelial Network?
I want to trust my instincts more.
Re-allocate the ship’s resources in an orderly fashion.
I want to be more confident.
