ive always theorized that Wesker was really hard on Chris during their S.T.A.R.S days: he expected the absolute best from Chris and the best only. while i do believe he had some care for Chris, Wesker's perfectionism probably caused some strain between the two. THIS ART IS SO GREAT RAAAAWR!

Wesker is not a bad person :

There's nothing egoistical nor self centered about an intellectually inclinded calculating mastermind wanting to share the gift of god becoming with the rest of humanity and wanting to equal the playing field by giving everyone the opportunity to assess the same power he's had the liberty of acquiring for himself.

Sure he might look like the devil incarnate, but satan isn't someone that yearns for community and wishes for the betterment of the collective, he just wants to take people down with him to hell.

Is what wesker attempted to do a indicative of a clear abuse of power? Certainly, but it's deep rooted in something more humane. At the end of the day, he's just a fictional character meant to represent and embody the idealogical extreme of what our society deems as "evil". He wasn't wrong, he just went too far.

Fans that want to demonize this man totally skip over the fact that if he were indeed as evil as they portray him to be, he would have kept his newly founded power all to himself.

The whole point of the resident evil game franchise is to show you , that none of these god forsaken characters were evil to begin with, the biological weapons that the villains manufacture and invest their ressources in are supposed to represent their salvation from the worldly inhibited suffering that society has caused them to endure through if you want to correctly study and evaluate a piece of media you need to throw any moral dilemmas you cling onto out of the window , there is no one inherently evil nor virtuous amongst the characters of this video game series

all the characters in the game are victims of the same scheme , the local governmental and international organizations the supposedly "good guys" are working for, are just as corrupt as the criminals they are facing, their active contributions are feeding into the endless cycle of profit that these institutions are pertaining to

the indirectly infected humans turned zombies serve as a good analogy to that, everyone present serves as collateral damage , you either anchor yourself or get swept away by the storm

all of the residents in this universe are tied to evil, involuntarily or not

Yuri needing some ibuprofen cause oh boy.. he MIGHT have a headache. all bad jokes aside, i think that there are moments that Yuri is either reminded of his past and pain. since he is a failed bio weapon, his immune system is completely fucked up, so he had probably bled alot out of stress or memories. the second pose however is similarly to a mental breakdown, Yuri would suddenly have a vivid memory of his entire life and it drove him insane. also yes, he MIGHT be reanimated (he is)..
