We’re ALIVE!!!

Apple Podcast | Spotify | Other Platforms
After a hiatus of approximately eleventy billion years, your trusty co-hosts are finally back on the mic and ready to recap the rest of season 3 of Motherland Fort Salem. In this episode, the gang splits up to do a variety of side quests. Tally goes home to find her mother a little less peace-loving-hippie and a lot more let's-burn-this-mf'er-down. Abigail escorts Alder back to Fort Salem, where some people (Petra) are happy to see Abigail but other people (Feral Penelope) are a lot less pleased. Finally, Scylla and Edwin go on an epic road trip together, featuring lots of terrible dad jokes and some teary reunions with dead terrorist mushroom spouses. Luckily everyone gets their errands done just in the nick of time, because an invasion force is headed right for the Cession. Ruh roh. As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes, Spotify and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter (or Instagram and Tumblr) and talk with us about the show! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @mad_typist and @DJaedyxe.

In this episode, the Bellweather Unit  sneaks into the Cession. Abigail is worried Scylla is going to steal Raelle away from them, but the Mycellium steals her away first, as she's sucked into the ground and put in a shiny prison somewhere in the earth.  Nicte shows off her hamburger Phantom face to Tally, before unleashing some fun new acid and bat-related abilities on some unsuspecting Camarilla agents at a chemical factory. The unit manages to luck into capturing Alban Hearst, only to immediately allow him to escape once the dreaded Cession Marshalls show up on the scene. Khalida acts super suspicious before disappearing (or maybe being kidnapped, I don't know) Meanwhile, in a much better subplot, Petra hosts a dinner party, M dazzles us with their snappy suit, and  we are blessed with the return of two queens in the form of President Wade and Minerva Bellweather. VP Silver is set back in his plan for total domination for the moment, as Wade flexes her presidential power all over him with a rousing speech in support of equal rights for witches. Also, Penelope Silver is back and 100% more insane than when we last saw her. She tries to choke out our beloved Izadora and is apparently able to transfer into a gaseous form at will. Also possibly insane? The Mycellium network, which does a very creepy "Mother will protect you, my dear" act with Raelle. Yikes. We answer all your burning questions and more. As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes, Spotify and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter (or Instagram and Tumblr) and talk with us about the show! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @mad_typist and @DJaedyxe.  If you want to support our show you can also donate to our Patreon.

We are Back...
...Back Again!!
Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Other Platforms
After a short hiatus, we are back recapping all the action on season 3 of Motherland Fort Salem! We enjoy a riveting hour of the girls moving boxes around a warehouse and living that not-so-glamourous dodger lifestyle. Raylla are hot and heavy, just how we like them. Adil has a case of the baby-crazies and Abigail isn't totally shooting that idea down.  Tally and Nicte spend quality time on the roof together being sexy and talking about the future (literally). Abigail and Tally team up to ruin it for everyone with their selfish and reckless behavior, as they manage to blow the cover of dozens of dodgers by being super suspicious and leading the authorities right to the secret warehouse. Daddy Dodger is not amused and neither is Scylla. Meanwhile, VP Silver is up to his old tricks alongside Albin Hearst and a new evil blonde lady. What evil plots do they have in store for our witches and the mycellium network, hmmm?  Thankfully we have a clue, thanks to super spy M on the case. Also, Penelope might be back, but in the form of a vengeful rain cloud. Definitely back? Sarah Alder (yeeeeeeeaaaah), freshly sprung from the earth somewhere in Spain and looking better than ever. Buckle up as we navigate the wild ride that season 3 is sure to hold for us. As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes, Spotify and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter (or Instagram and Tumblr) and talk with us about the show! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @/mad_typist (twitter) and @/DJaedyxe (twitter).  If you want to support our show you can also donate to our Patreon.

Long Time No Post
Sorry for the small hiatus, but no worries we are still in the sound booth making content! Up this week:
Apple | Spotify | Other
Need a distraction from doom scrolling? Why not check out our latest podcast recapping a legendary show from a simpler time? We review 3 classic eps of #XenaWarriorPrincess with guest Alex Cranz (@alexhcranz on Twitter) from The Verge.
In this bonus episode of the show, we rise to the challenge laid down by Eden S (one of our patrons) and recap several episodes of the queer fantasy classic and greatest show of all time, Xena: Warrior Princess. We knew we'd need back up before taking on the absolutlely legendary two parter "The Debt" so we called in the lovely Alex Cranz to help us discuss both episodes, plus the season 6 classic "When Fates Collide"
Hear us break down all the campy queer action, discuss Xena's place in LGBTQ+ fandom and whether it still holds up, and revisit our more innocent past selves who somehow thought Xena and Gabrielle were just really good gal pals. Even if you've never seen an episode of the show give it a listen.

Bonus: All Hail General Bellweather (interview w/Catherine Lough Haggquist)
Apple Podcast | Spotify | Other Platforms
Tumblr media
In this special episode we welcome Catherine Lough Haggquist, a.k.a. Petra Bellweather, to the podcast to chat with us about all things Motherland Fort Salem and her extensive acting career. Among the highlights of this interview are: hearing about the first time she met her on-screen daughter, her work in the Vancouver theater community, what life advice she'd give to Petra, and why the show's story resonates with her. She also answer our fans' questions (and yes, she does share who she'd ship Petra with). Finally, this woman has done her homework, as she comes prepared with materials for our Turn The Tables segment. Honestly, she's such a brilliant and thoughtful actress, we know you're going to love hearing from her as much as we did. Check it out, and hit us up on the social media to let us know what you think! Also, be sure to give Catherine tons of love from the fanbase as well. Hit us up on Twitter (or Instagram and Tumblr) and let us know what you thought about this episode! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @mad_typist and @DJaedyxe.  If you want to support our show you can also donate to our brand new Patreon. Catherine can be found  on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter here: @TheCatLH

Oh. My. GODDESS this would be pretty fantastic!
I was listening to that delightful Arlen interview that @fswitchinghour did and couldn’t think of any poly crack ships I’d love to see, but couldn’t stop thinking about Tally getting apprehended by the military and Alder coming in to interview her to find out where the others are and she blatantly hits on Tally and moves in to kiss her when she takes out her lighter and it’s actually Nicte with Alder’s face ‘Sorry to disappoint, Red. I’m actually here to break you out.’
Now I actually need someone to write that. Come on. Nicte with Alder‘s face!!!! It would be fucking hilarious.

Where To Find Us
Tumblr media
Hey guys! Just figured we would do a small PSA about the Podcast! We’ve been getting a lot of AWESOME reviews lately, but what’s interesting is how many of them DIDN’T know where to find us before! Or how creative you can get to listen.
Where: So you can find us on Apple Podcast and Spotify, those are sort of our primary platforms. BUT you can also catch us on BuzzSprout and either listen there or hop to another platform of your choice!
How: Some of our fans have gotten SUPER creative! Many listen on their computer, phone or tablet of course. BUT we have also now heard of someone listening to us on their Playstation! So check out your gaming system’s store and see what fun apps you might be able to find us on.
When: During season runs we do upload EVERY week, during off-season though we do switch generally to a bi-weekly format. We will keep ya’ll up to date!
Why: Honestly no clue, we’re just two nerds talking about a REALLY awesome show. We love all the fans though, we obviously wouldn’t be here without you guys!

Small Round Table
We do have a small announcement!
Podcast fans, we have just launched our very first Patreon! We're super nervous about this, but we hope you're as excited as we are to take the show to the next level. Link is here: https://patreon.com/FSWitchingHour
Tumblr media
A bit more about why we're doing this:
First: it costs us money to host our podcast. We chose Buzzsprout and we're very happy with it - we get great analytics and it's been a breeze to get set up. However, it's not free...Buzzsprout charges us per hour of content we upload. We love putting up super long episodes (and you all seem to love them the longer they are). However, this means we usually end up in the top pricing tier. For transparency, here's the pricing scheme: https://buzzsprout.com/pricing. So, by contributing to our Patreon you're literally making it possible for us to keep the show up and running and available for all to enjoy. If we got nothing else but our monthly hosting fees covered, we'd be two thrilled podcasters.
We've also wanted to do more fun stuff like produce merch for the show - things like stickers, t-shirts, medallions and other cool stuff. These funds will allow us to invest in getting those designed and produced in bulk, so we can then make it available to you all.
Finally, we've been hearing from you all that you wanted a way to let DJ and Jessie know that you appreciate our work. While we happily do this for free, we do love that you all want to support us as creators. We'll never do this for profit, but your tips and love matter.
IMPORTANT: you do NOT have to send us any money to be a valid fan. We will never charge you to access our main product: our episode recaps. Those will remain 100% free. Patreon members will get early access to bonus stuff, but we'll never ask you to commit money to hear our show!
As always, if you have any questions our DMs our open! Either here or Twitter at our official hand @fswitchinghour, or our Twitter handles @/Mad_Typist and @/DJaedyxe

MFS 2X06 : My Three Subplots
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN! Here is a new episode of Fort Salem Witching Hour! Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Other Platforms
Adil gets a chance to party Bellweather style over the fall break from school. Ain't no party like a Bellweather party because a Bellweather party is polyamorous and dominated by badass women. There's also some light exhuming of corpses. Meanwhile, Team Army and Team Spree face off over the future of little Tiffany and also Alder's life. While Nicte is dicking around trying to off Alder, Willa and Scylla are busy focusing on the real enemy. They take down the location where Tiffany and the other kids were being held, but it's too late: not only have the kids been moved, but the Camarilla have already moved onto their next target: Raelle. *Dun dun dun!* We finally get to see a bit more of life in the Cession, which is comprised mostly of good natured salt of the earth people, cute lesbian chic fashion, and other small town touches. Taylor blows the fan base away with her lovely singing, but we get too little of that, and too much of the Camarilla hurting our poor little baby. Tally is surprisingly not helpful. All this, plus we answer all your burning questions. This one is extra long, in celebration of the launch of our new Patreon page! As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter and talk with us about the show! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @mad_typist and @DJaedyxe.  If you want to support our show you can also donate to our brand new Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/FSWitchingHour

MFS 2x06 Fav Scene
So short discussion, what was everyone’s favorite scene? It was a hard fight, but I wanna say this def makes my top three!
Tumblr media
Most especially though... Minerva: Oh, that! That fire in your eyes! Follow it to the ends of the earth, Abigail. Don’t let us stop you. Don’t let anyone stop you. Make your mark, not your mother’s. Not mine, not Jem’s”

S2E05 - Let Me Just Pencil You In (For Death)
Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Other Platforms
In this episode, Scylla goes full murder muppet on us, killing two men in the span of two days. But it's okay, because they totally deserve it. She and Anacostia complete their infiltration of the Camarilla party, but instead of getting more intel, they end up picking up a new baby witch and some fresh bruises as they fight Jack Orsotti and the Camarilla Exarch. Later, Scylla opens up her death ledger and pencils in Shane. Literally. Meanwhile, Abigail continues to dwell in her various traumas and failures, until a visit with Ghost Charvelle shakes her out of her funk. She has a new mission now. That mission? Murderous vengeance. In a surprise twist, Adil has decided to join her in this mission, after he barely survives an assassination attempt by the Camarilla's scary new Venom-like virus bomb. Tally confronts Alder, but it sadly does not end with a kiss. However, she does meet up with Ghost Velda Estherbrook, who confirms that Sarah Alder is a lying liar who lies a lot. Raelle misses her mom, and it's very sad. Gregorio makes me cry by unexpectedly bringing up Libba. Eliot continues his personal assault on Jessie's psyche by incorporating another of her biggest phobias into the show. We also take time to answer all your burning questions. Check out this week's podcast for all this and more!  As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter and talk with us about the show! You can find us at @FSWitchingHour or @mad_typist and @DJaedyxe.
