For anyone who needs to hear it:

Your late teens/20s are a weird time in your life. Don’t panic if you think somebody is more “ahead” than you. The concept of being ahead is nonexistent anyway because life’s not a race and each person has different hurdles to overcome.

It’s totally fine if you’re single. It’s fine if you’re still finishing school. It’s fine if you are still looking for a better job, or for any job at all. It’s fine if you haven’t had sex yet, or haven’t gotten your driver license yet. It’s fine if you haven’t gotten your own place yet. It’s fine if you are still figuring things out, saving money, putting the pieces together. It’s fine.

Don’t feel jealous of or lesser than people your age who have done these things. You don’t know what obstacles they faced to get there and they don’t know what you’ve faced. Don’t undermine the progess you have made.

Because, trust me, you have made progress. Even if it hasn’t materialized yet in the traditional way.

You are still young. Like really young.

You got time.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Star Chris Pratt Shares Some Surprising Stories About Working With Robert Downey Jr.

Avengers: Infinity War is going to bring together Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy to do battle with Thanos and that alone is reason enough to be excited about Marvel Studios’ next movie. During a recent chat with Empire Magazine, Chris Pratt was asked about working alongside Robert Downey Jr. and shared some very interesting insight into how the actor conducts himself.

While you might think Downey keeps himself to himself and stays in his massive trailer between takes, it turns out that he’s willing to do anything and everything to help his fellow actors and went Pratt was in need, the Iron Man star was quick to give him a helping hand on the set of Avengers: Infinity War.

“Man, he set a really amazing tone. He’s a bit like Tony Stark himself. I think a lot of what makes Tony Stark are the same qualities that make Downey great. I think Downey is about as rich as Tony Stark now. [Laughs] He really takes care of the actors around him in a way I’ve never seen before. I was a little under the weather and pushing really hard on the days I was working. He came up to me and said, ‘You doing alright?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’ve got a little sore throat.’ Within ten minutes there was a person here giving me all these herbs and taking care of me. He offered me the use of his trailer where I could sit down and use some of his hi-tech healing gadgets. It was amazing. I’m living my best life.”

Pratt went on to reveal that he actually heard from Downey when he was first cast as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and it’s something which has had a significant impact on him moving forward.

“When I first arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Downey was the first to call and tell me, ‘Hey man, welcome. If there’s anything you need, I will help. There are so few people on the planet who are going through what you’re going through right now. I have, so I’m here. I’ll always answer the phone.’ I feel completely empowered to pay it forward with Tom or Chadwick. I’m not saying that I’m senior to them, other than I got that experience of opening a movie with Marvel and being along for the ride. Now I just really feel compelled to offer them, even if it’s a fraction of what Downey was able to offer me, and just say, ‘Anything you need, you let me know.’"

I Owe You One

Pairing: Natasha x Fem! Reader

Word Count: 950

Warnings: light cursing, hint at sex (barely, it’s just Tony’s usual antics)

A/N: Wow can you tell I’m absolutely gay for Natasha? I honestly didn’t even think about the fact that I already wrote a drabble for her until I was halfway through writing this, but I was inspired so I couldn’t stop myself. I’m not too sure of how I feel about this piece, a bit clumsy for my taste but oh well. Hope you guys enjoy x

You first see her as you’re making your way across the floor, wading between the throng of socialites who are of no interest to you. You’re caught off-guard by her elegance, she commands an air of respect effortlessly, as she stands, making light conversation with a small group of people. Her red hair tumbles down her shoulders in waves. In the back of your mind, you can’t help but let your thoughts wander off the mission for a moment. 

“No one told me she was an absolute goddess.” 

You whisper out under your breath, silently cursing yourself for being so helplessly gay. But of course, you’re a damn good agent, and know to stay on task so you shake your head of such thoughts and venture towards her, all while remaining anonymous among the crowd. 

“You know she can hear you, right?”

Rogers piped up over the comm and your eyes widened, throat threatening to close up in embarrassment. Shit. You had accidentally said it directly into your comm, alerting the woman not only of your presence but of your quite obvious attraction to her. You shook it off quickly though, playing off the mistake as nothing with a laugh,

“Well, I’m certainly not wrong.” 

Luckily for you, having this sort of job tended to give you nerves of steel. The men on the other line laughed too, before reminding you of your mission. Not that you needed reminding. You just hoped she didn’t think much of it, you didn’t want to ruin her impression of you quite yet. You had plenty of time to do that. You scanned the room, sipping on the champagne in your hand, as you took in your surroundings.

“Heads up, two targets are moving towards the control room. Making my way towards them now. There are two others making their way toward you from your 5, Romanoff, keep your eyes open. ” 

You effortlessly slip through the crowd, without informing the two targets of your presence. The mission was to identify the targets, who were trying to kidnap a powerful UN leader and put a stop to them. It was your first time alongside both Rogers and Romanoff, as you had been out on a long-con for several years before returning to SHIELD only just recently. You approach the two individuals from behind and as soon as there is some privacy, away from the guests’ eyes, you clear your throat behind you. “You know, I think the bathroom is that way.” You smirked lightly, as they turned around and shock. You didn’t even give them time to react as you took the first swing while they were caught off-guard. They quickly reacted in kind and you dodged each attack, making easy work of taking them down. Soon enough they were both lying unconscious on the floor. 

“Both targets have been taken care of, returning to the ballroom.”

You make your way back and are met with pure chaos. It looks like the other operatives had decided to attempt their attack without the element of surprise. Somewhere in the throng of frantic civilians trying desperately to escape, you could see Romanoff struggling with more than a handful of men. Apparently, there were more operatives than you had anticipated. You broke out into an all-out run and lunged at one of her assailants, quickly taking him down before helping her with the rest of them. Thanks to your quick instincts, you were able to take them all down with little to no effort at all. 

“Thanks, I guess I owe you one, Y/L/N.”

She gave you a winning smile, blinking her lashes at you and you silently wondered if your heart was still beating.

“Hmm, I think I might just have to take you up on that.”

You returned the redhead’s stunning smirk with a wink, before the two of you were interrupted by Rogers behind you,

“Are you two done flirting or am I gonna have to finish this job myself?”

You both laughed before sprinting towards Rogers and giving each other a look, which told you to kneel down and give her a boost up to the second floor. She ran forward and used your knee to jump up and grab the railing and swing herself over. You followed after, taking the stairs several at a time. By the time you’ve gotten to the top, they’ve already taken down all of the operatives. They’re both panting lightly, and you laugh lightly under your breath,

“Guess I missed the party, huh?”

They both just shook their heads, laughing along with you in between their pants. The three of you made your way out of the ballroom, as SHIELD agents flooded the floor and took in all of the unconscious targets you had taken down. Natasha sidled up to you, tossing her hair over her shoulder, and slipping off her heels effortlessly. 

“So if I buy you a drink, would you consider us even?”

You grinned lightly, a blush painting over your cheeks, as you too slipped off the painful pair of heels. You hated missions where you had to dress up in ridiculous get-ups, though seeing Natasha in such a beautiful gown was certainly warming you up to the idea. 

“I guess we’ll just have to see, won’t we? I kind of like the idea of having an IOU from someone so stunning, and I don’t just mean how amazing you look in that dress.”

And thus started the dangerously flirtatious relationship between you two, much to the chagrin of the rest of the team. Though, you had caught Tony drooling over the two of you, on multiple occasions, his mind wandering to seemingly unspeakable places.
