Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran
I’m a huge Ed fan. He is truly my favorite artist. With that being said, I am super excited about him returning to music, BUT I am very disappointed at his newest single.
The song is great from a pop perspective. Catchy, great hook, awesome beat. This would actually be a reeeally good Justin Bieber song when you think about it. But this is just so not Ed.
I fully understand that artists change and I am fine with that, but if this is Ed changing then I do not like where he’s going at all. His uniqueness is gone in this song. You can’t feel what he’s feeling by the way he strums the guitar chords. I actually couldn’t even distinguish a guitar being played!
All in all, it’s a great pop song, but for the sake of music I hope this is not the direction he’s going with all of his future songs.
Something I noticed is that if you close your eyes while the song is playing you can almost hear Nick Jonas singing this song to the top of the charts… which tells you what you need to know.

I feel like I’m failing in life when I have to schedule a specific time to play video games (aka Apex Legends) with my younger brother because HE always has stuff going on. Life’s rough sometimes

I’m a Sucker for Nostalgia
I just watched the “Sucker” music video premiere with my wife. It blows my mind to think that before the Jonas Brothers went their separate ways, I didn’t even know her. We were both fans back in the day, and we actually had just gotten back into listening to their old music right before the rumors of them coming back together started.
The song is very catchy. I thought it was a good mix of Joe’s and Nick’s vocals with some nice guitar riffs in between. Thank goodness the song is decently mature, cause they’re grown freaking men and all of their old fans are grown ups too.
In my opinion, the music video was great. Well above average. Decently flashy and with some very nice aesthetics. The best part for me though is how each of their significant others were in the video. It shows that while they are back together, it is definitely not the same as it was back in the day, and we shouldn’t expect it to be.

And just like that the Jonas Brothers came in clutch to save a year that I didn’t even know needed saving yet.

A Night of Horror
I went to Halloween Horror Nights last Friday. In case you don't know, this is when you go to Universal Studios (a theme park) at night (6 pm - 2 am) and you go to as many haunted houses as you can. I went with my wife and tickets aren't cheap. Close to a hundred bucks each ticket for just one night depending on what day of the week you go.

That just got me thinking, why is it that so many people enjoy being scared? Why do we pay so much money to feel fear? It just doesn't make sense, does it? You are deliberately spending your own money and waiting in line to have someone scare you. Maybe there's just something wrong with all of us humans after all, because I actually enjoyed it.

A Day In The Life...
...of a completely average human
Tumblr media
I wake up with a headache. I feel more tired than I ever had in my life. I look over and my wife is getting dressed. I feel like the luckiest guy on Earth...
Until I try to get up. Suddenly everything sucks again. I look over at the clock: 6:50 AM. I have twenty minutes. I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth. Back in my bedroom, I make the bed and I get dressed. 7:00 AM. I have ten minutes.
I go over to the kitchen where my wife is already eating her breakfast. I look over in the corner of the wall: a cockroach. My oldest enemy. I quickly grab a shoe and try to smash it. It is much faster than me and it runs away. Another battle lost. I grab a bowl and pour some cereal and milk in it and sit down.
Like every morning, I scroll through Instagram while eating my cereal. By the time I'm done, it is time to go. I grab my backpack, and make sure the air conditioner is turned up to save electricity. I make sure the door is locked on my way out and wonder why I always lock it. No one would try to break in to the smallest house on such a quiet neighborhood. I double check that it's locked.
I unlock the car and my wife puts her stuff in the trunk and I do the same. I open the hood of the car. Fill up the coolant that always leaks. We get in the car and drive off.
My wife and I talk as I'm trying to stay awake. She says she slept well, on the other hand, I didn't really. Somehow we get all green lights. Victory! I drop her off and give her a kiss. While driving away, I put on a podcast on my phone.
By now I am decently awake. But not really that awake. Someone is going ten under the speed limit so I honk. They don't go any faster. I finally pass them. Another victory! And then I get stuck in traffic. I get stuck behind all the parents trying to drop their kids off at one of the four schools that I drive by on my way to work.
I start worrying about my car heating up. It does that if I'm stuck in traffic for too long. I finally get past the traffic. Two minutes before getting to the office, I get stuck behind a school bus that is picking up kids. Gosh, I hate schools. I finally get to the office and find parking. The car made it and I am five minutes late. Victory...?
I get in the office and my boss isn't there. I start doing the usual stuff that I do. Fast forward to thirty minutes before I can leave. I am out of things to do. I get on Tumblr and start writing that story that I wanted to write. Thirty minutes later, I am writing this sentence to finish my story.

Hurricane Irma
September 7th
I live in Orlando, FL and as of right now hurricane Irma is supposedly going to go right down the state, going right over Orlando.
Honestly, I don't even think anyone will read this, but I'm writing this for 2 reasons.
In case you are reading this and you live in Central Florida, don't freak out just yet. Prepare yourself with supplies, and make sure your house is ready, but don't freak out. The destruction that it caused in the Caribbean was when it was a cat. 5. By the time it gets here (again, Central Florida) it will have gone down to a cat. 3 or even 2 if we're lucky. So it won't be as bad as it seems! But that doesn't mean you shouldn't prepare, cause we're pretty much for sure going to lose power.
Make sure you freaking pay attention and DO WHAT WE ARE BEING TOLD TO. That is, prepare your supplies, water, food, light, documents, and whatever else cause you will need it. Make sure you talk to your family/loved ones so that you can help each other out. And we all need to make sure that we get everything that usually stays outside, inside. Porch tables and chairs flying around are the last thing you will need. As long as we follow the directions that we are being given by the experts, we will be fine. So pay attention to the latest news!
Well, I just wrote this cause I felt the need to pass this info on. I am only trying to help anyone that happens to read this. Be safe!
