heyyy don't know if you use this blog at all but you're so valid with your takes on Central Asia :D I am Mongolian (technically but long complicated ethnic backgrounds probably shouldn't be talked about in anon asks lol) and I have noticed that with the rise of popularity of a lot of Chinese media I've seen a lot of people dismiss or undermine the very real racist tropes that plague it. It also hurts because, to be honest, I'm unsure whether it hurts more that people don't care about CA/NA representation and don't include it at all or only include us as mystical backwards barbarians (,: Still, even if you never see this message, I really appreciated the work you did here

thanks!!! im so glad that you resonated with it. yeah, im not really on this blog a lot anymore, i got wayyy too many bad-faith asks and questions asking me to do more work than im willing to put into a fandom blog (hello tumblr users. use google search! im unpaid and this is exhausting). i also live in the middle east now so ummmm that takes up a lot of time with all that going on. not lots of energy to spare for explaining why calling me a dog is racist! but! i do check back once in a while and messages like this make me so so sooo happy! the proliferation of chinese media in the west has repackaged racist rhetoric against us, both in ignoring our existence/culture/technology/"sophistication" and in consistently othering, dehumanising, and degrading us when we do appear. i really hope more people are able to speak out about their experiences as ethnic minorities in china and cultures from ca/na, and how they experience racism in its own context in the east! thank you for your kind words :)

I'm hetero but I have a tendency to fetishize gay male characters sometimes and I hate it. I know it's a sin, but also even the gay community would be mad at me for fettishizing them. It's like a lose, lose situation on every side. Pray for me if you have a moment. ♡

You know I remember a moment I held Shiro (from Voltron) at an idol position.

I would draw him, I would read fan fictions on him, lots of other things… *ahem*

Anyways, when I came stronger in my faith I told God I’d choose him over Shiro if I had to.

And guess what. God put me to the test.

Shiro came out as gay and I was DEVASTATED. But I knew I had to let it go. I couldn’t worship sin. I couldn’t accept him, I had to let him go.

So I chose God over Shiro.

Here’s the thing; interests come and go, they’ll change overtime, but God will always stay the same. He’ll always be there.
