#MOONNEWS: MICHIGAN SENATORS WANT SEX WITH DOGS
did you know that #Michigan senators last week passed a bill that put #oralsex and #analsex in the same #category as #beastiality so they could pass this absurd #bill and not violate the Lawrence vs Texas ruling that declared #sodomy bans #unconstitutional? i particularly love the 'destestable and abominable' language they use to describe such pleasureable acts (animals not included). i can understand that a guy might not want to deal with the land of fudge, but oral sex, too? do you really expect the Michigan voters to believe that you actually believe that oral sex is 'detestable and abominable'? i bet Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat had some good ole Michigan fun before this went into act.
'oh baby, let me suck that dick of yours...mmm...i bet you're so big', says the slut
'excuse me ma'am, i do not participate in such detestable and abominable acts such as those', says the Michigan senator
no worries, #Missouri...your senators allow you to have all the #buttsex, #fellatio and #cunnilingus that you want!!!

#STLFW: Caleres Emerging Designer Award Presented by STL Fashion Fund
by June Ann D'Angelo
Last night fashion week in St. Louis kicked off it's series of 3 main fashion presentations with the Emerging Designer Award runway show. I literally saw looks from each designer that I wanted to work into my wardrobe. After the show I met up with some of my favorite STL fashion voices in the city (Laura Heying, Weird Cult(ure); Robby Baker; Katy Noonan, Living Collective) to rehash and it seems my favorites, NOVIS and Houghton, got everyone else a little wet with excitement as well. Although the print choice by NOVIS was rather polarizing, I found the use of them quite breathtaking. But nothing could touch the silhouettes and cohesion of Houghton that earned Katharine Polk a huge $25,000 cash prize!!!

#MCM.17 = #rockgod Eduardo Pereira w/ @himpromotions
MCM.17 = Eduardo Pereira
www.HiMpromotions.com
aside from the editor: bodies, as gorgeous as they come, are not just physical specimens...they are breathing, living, feeling, doing organisms that bounce energy with each other throughout their entire lifeform. in an effort to know more about the breathing, living, feeling and doing part, we want to bring you interviews from the amazing bodies that end up on the moon with us... we are so excited to partner with the men from HiM and we bring you our very first MCM interview with the delicious Eduardo Pereira...he will always go down as our first #rockgod on the moon!
A little more Mr. Pereira wants you to know about himself...
"Simply put, I'm a rock drummer who moonlights as a model. Bangin' away on the skins, sweating away the previous night's bad decisions, and barely having enough money to eat while on the road is what kept me lean. The promotional photo shoot for the record that followed was what made people go 'Oh hey you have abs... You should try this'."
MOON: BIGGEST MODELING ACCOMPLISHMENT...
EP: To be quite honest, working with HiM (www.HiMpromotions.com; @HiMpromotions) is my biggest accomplishment thus far. In the short time that I've been apart of it I have done photo shoots, two live performances, and two live television media appearances. That's just in June alone. Its opened doors for me I never thought possible and showed me things about myself I never knew. For example prior to this anything dance related was very much out of my comfort zone, and that tends to strike people as odd being that I'm a drummer. Our dance choreographer Ryan is a magician; what he's done with me so far is blowing my mind and getting me amped for what I can learn next. Its the same feeling I got when I first starting drumming. Its like "Oh ok... I think I get this.. I just need to practice the hell out of it."
MOON: THE LAST PHOTOGRAPHER YOU WORKED WITH...
EP: Before joining HiM and shooting with Drasko Bogdanovic (HiM's resident photographer; @drasko.bogdanovic) the last photographer I worked with was Alex Maxim (@max_retouching), a BRILLIANT photographer out of Toronto. The thing I love about Alex is he always comes prepared with new ideas he wants to try. Every shoot is a completely different experience and he puts a lot of thought beforehand on what he wants to capture. Since he's so structured and calculating it makes it easy for me, I just gotta add abs. And being a guitar player the dude always has awesome tunes playing in the background, which is nice.
MOON: FAVORITE SHOOT LOCATION TO DATE...
EP: When I did my first professional band photo shoot, we found this old half burnt down, half torn down house in the middle of a field somewhere just off a highway in northern Ontario. It was the coolest "set" ever. It was slanted walls, no ceilings, half windows remaining, just some of the creepiest imaginary you could imagine mixed in with this beautiful cloudless sunny summer day. It was surreal.
MOON: FAVORITE TIME OF DAY TO SHOOT...
EP: Anything sunny with natural light. I'm not big on night time photo sessions.
MOON: PERSONAL STYLE DESCRIPTION...
EP: I'm pretty safe in general when it comes to my style. I'm not bold with what I wear, tho I admire those who are. If I had to say I'd pick something like "Athletic Preppy Rocker".  Sounds lame even in writing. Eech!!!
MOON: THE LAST WORKOUT YOU DID...
EP: Shoulders. I love working my shoulders because being a slender guy I will do just about any exercise to widen up. I've been doing a lot of presses and lateral raises lately. And of course my Arnold Presses. Because of Arnold says it, I do it. (*does Arnold Schwarzenegger's Arggghhghg*)
MOON: FAVORITE TATTOO...
EP: OK, hear me out on this one. Bare with me. I don't like tattoos.... ON ME. Hear me out; I admire people who can believe in or be so sure about something enough to permanently ink it on themselves. I'm just not that guy. Being a guy from a hard rock/metal background that's just disgraceful, but it's true.
MOON:  THE LAST SONG YOU HEARD...
EP: "All I Know" by Karnivool, an awesome band out of Australia. They have an incredible syncopated style that while complex, is so rewarding when you finally "get" a song and feel what they're trying to do. If you like Tool, definitely check them out.

#TOTHEMOON: HiM:MAN READY TO MAKE MAGIC(MIKE) IN NIAGARA FALLS/TORONTO
Have you seen HiM?   HiM Promotions brings HiM:Man to Niagara Falls and a new Toronto venue in July
Toronto (June 30, 2015) - HiM Promotions are proud to present HiM:MAN not once, but TWICE in July! HiM Promotions will literally be taking their show on the road, bringing HiM:MAN to Niagara Falls on July 10, before they bring the sexy back to Toronto on July 18.
The men of HiM have been keeping busy since their appearance at Uniun Nightclub on Victoria Day weekend. In June, the men of HiM were chosen as the real life representation of movie muscle to promote the July 1 release of Magic Mike XXL, the sexy sequel to the film that actually inspired the creation of HiM. As part of this campaign, the men of HiM appeared on Breakfast Television, CP24, Global Morning Show and the Social, surprising and delighting audiences and show hosts with their Tatum-esque talent. HiM then brought a taste of Magic Mike to Toronto’s Pride festivities, performing not once, not twice, but FIVE times on the coveted Bud Light Burlesque A-Go-Go stage. And if that wasn’t enough, the handsome HiMs even surprised a group of movie going ladies attending a private screening of the film with their own private Magic Mike XXL style show. At every one of these appearances the HiM Men did what they do best: dazzle ladies with their swagger, smooth dance moves and sweet dispositions.   "It's a huge thrill to be a part of the promotion of Magic Mike XXL. We want to make Channing proud of our HiM men and what we brought to help promote Magic Mike XXL here in Toronto!, " said HiM Promotions founder Chris Cecile.   On July 10, HiM:Man will take over Seven Nightclub at 8:00 p.m., one of Niagara’s premiere nightlife destinations. Seven Nightclub is already known for its legendary ladies’ nights, and now they are upping the ante with HiM. Presenting the same sexy show that was already a hit in Toronto, the ladies of Niagara Falls will get a taste of what the six is already loving, complete with photo opps and mixing and mingling with HiM’s performers and models. But HiM will never leave its loving Toronto audience wanting, which is exactly why just a week later, HiM:MAN will resume its Toronto run at Cube Nightclub. Part elegant cocktail lounge, part divine nightclub and boasting one of the best rooftop patios in the city, Cube provides the perfect environment for HiM to evolve their ultimate ladies night out. As with our Uniun shows, the night will  be presented in partnership with Ink Entertainment, Toronto’s foremost entertainment company.  Guests will not only be treated to a fantastic show, but will also have the chance to be pampered before in the Beauty Lounge. Hair, makeup and other beauty services will be available to help ladies look and feel their best before they enjoy their fun and sexy night out.   HiM:Man was choreographed by the incredibly talented Ryan Scheel, whose credits include the MMVAs and dancing in performances with Mia Martina, Madonna and Psy. HiM:Man has an irresistible soundtrack, a higher tease factor and a hotter than ever cast, including parkour experts, stuntmen, football hunks and martial artists.    Women of Toronto (and now NIAGARA FALLS!) don’t have to travel to Las Vegas to see a spectacular Male Revue, now that they have HiM.

#MOONBEAUTY: what your hair stylist REALLY wants you to know
by Kristen Parks
I know you've probably seen plenty of articles like this, and while some are pretty honest, I feel like they have left out a few things! So here's my list of things you should know revolving around your hair stylist!
1. BE ON TIME!
I can't really say that any other way. It is SO important for you to be on time to your appointment. There is a small five to maybe ten minute buffer in there, but I promise your hair stylist with appreciate you being on time more than anything! Typically, we plan some time for talking about a game plan, and then just enough time to execute that plan. So if you're 15 minutes late, that puts our entire schedule 15 minutes behind. Which means that everyone the rest of the day will be waiting an extra 15 minutes on us, if they are on time... if they are late too, well the day's timing is completely out the window! If you know you're going to be late, check in with your stylist or salon and make sure there will still be time for you after you have arrived!
2. Cancellation notice!
We totally understand that things and life happen! But give your hair stylist AS MUCH notice as you possibly can if you need to cancel your appointment. If we have time, we can try to give your appointment time to someone else to keep our day busy! Sitting around doesn't make us any money! But again, we do definitely understand that last minute things happen in life that are out of everyone's control!
3. Change notice!
I love to get my clients through their big changes. However, if we plan for your usual root touch up and not for a big change, we may be out of luck. I do my best to accomodate every client that comes my way, but sometimes we just don't have the time or product needed to do so. If you know you want to change up your color, let your stylist know! They will definitely appreciate you!
4. Why we suggest what we suggest!
If your stylist suggests something, anything at all, to you, there is usually a reason why! For example, if you come in for a color service, we will recommend a time frame you come back in for a touch up. If you wait too long, the color could be too faded for just a quick touch up, require a longer process, or require a whole new color period. We don't recommend things just to be recommending! Maybe we notice your hair has gotten too dry in the summer heat, we can help you with that if you just listen! Or maybe you want to try a new color, but we know against your skin tone or eye color, it may not be the most flattering option, we can recommend that and an alternative option!
5. Referrals are really the best compliment you can give us!
When you refer your friends, family, even random people who compliment your hair to us, it is such a huge compliment. You're subconciously saying you support us, enjoy our company, you trust us with your own and anyone else's hair, and that we are good at what we do. No one refers anyone to a restaraunt, tattoo artist, hair stylist, or anything they dont love, trust, or like! A lot of stylists even offer referral programs that benefit everyone!
6. We are worth it!
If we didn't believe in ourselves, we wouldn't make it in the beauty industry. Confidence goes such a long way in beauty. Our confidence, gives our clients confidence in us as well. But nothing delivers a blow to that confidence like when someone tells you that your prices, your time, etc are not worth it. The price lists hair stylists have are a reflection of so many different things... the area we work in, the cost of our products, the value of our time, the energy and attention that goes into a service, and so much more. We understand that everyone has a budget, completely and totally understand. However, you get what you pay for. Instead of telling someone they are not worth it, maybe try changing the verbage to, "that may be out of my budget right now," or "I would love to have my hair done by you, so I'm going to save up for that!" For example, I've recently had to up prices on my fashion color processes due to the popular demand, amount of product needed, and the attention needed to ensure your hair turns out correctly AND remains healthy. If I'm doing a fashion color, it's not always feasible for me double book myself like I can during a regular permanent color or foil because of that needed attention. People who know the quality of my work, know that I'm worth it and that they will get the best fashion color possible!
Keep all of these things in mind when you make your next appointment! I promise your stylist will love and appreciate you for it!
Feel free to reach out and say hello on social media and talk to me about your next hair step!
