Sometimes I think about the fact that Anakin's first reaction upon finally learning Palpatine was a Sith lord was to draw his lightsaber. It was literally that close. That close to ending well. He had Darth Sidious at bladepoint. Even after all those years of grooming and manipulation, Anakin's instincts still steered him right, he so very nearly let it all go.

Latest chapter of Fatefully Yours is a 10/10 and you know I don’t like Vader & Padme together (in story only). But it is brilliant and deserves nothing less than a perfect score.

I will share one eventually, but I'm going back to the drawing board with it because it was all moving too fast for my liking. We want slow emotional burn, fast sexual burn with this one and the chapters I've worked on have fast both and that's just no fun. But one day I'll share something!

Hellooo okay so many thoughts about the chapter of FY that I have to say here because I don’t have an ao3 account:

1. I know she’s an oc but i absolutely adore Arievel and i think what you’ve done with her character is really great. I think her and Anakin are my favourite characters in the story.

2. On that same note it started off as a crack ship but IDK I like the concept of Arievel and Anakin together. I think it’s cause of that one side chapter you posted a while back but I like their dynamic. Don’t really care for Padmé and Vader either as individuals or as a ship (please don’t stone me. I know lots of people who read the fic adore them) but I think Arievel and Anakin as a pairing kind of move me even though I 100% made it up and I know nobody else agrees with me😂

3. I think we already all knew Anakin was alive based on that flash forward a couple chapters ago but the more I think about it I just don’t think he was referring to Padmé as “the Empress.” I just can’t wrap my head around how he’ could ever forgive her for this whole Vader thing especially when his body was (thought to be) barely cold. (Deluded crack ship mind is telling me it’s Arievel but I’m striking that down cause I need to be realistic)

4. You’d said that you have around 60 chapters planned for the trajectory of this fic a couple months ago. Do you still see that or has the number changed based on how you’ve been writing?

5. Vader is still sick with that disease I think and IDK I just feel Padmé has something to do with him not eventually dying and maybe even being cured.

6. I think Jinn is definitely gonna be Vader & Padmé’s child together but thinking about that made me realise that I completely forgot about the lack of Luke in this story so I guess that’s a route too.

Sorry for the long dump. This is really all I have in the immediate aftermath of this chapter but I look forward to future updates. Glad your recovery is going well and I love your writing and stories. Hoping to see more Ahsoka and/or Leia also in this story cause I like the way you write them.

Aww, I'm so happy you like Arievel!! I was super nervous introducing her that people wouldn't like her, but I've been very pleasantly surprised. I love her! I think she's tragic and deeply interesting. Hahaha, omg, Anakin and Arievel together is certainly a first! But you know what, I can see it. Maybe if things had been different and he and Padme broke up, maybe those two could have had a chance? Even as a political marriage, I could really see those two being quite happy together.

I know you sent this ages ago, before we knew Anakin was actually alive, but I hope the reveal was still a surprise to you anyway. There is some serious drama and a whole lot of healing ahead of us, that's all I'll say!

Oh gosh, I know!! Originally, the story was supposed to be 45 chapters, then 50, then up and up and I've given up guessing how many its going to be now. I know what's going to happen, when and in what order, but god knows how long it'll take to get there anymore. One of my big regrets with this story is not splitting it into 3 separate fics. The first would have been the Hedsard gala drama, the second beginning with Padme's first pregnancy and ending roughly about them having Leia and then the third everything we're going through now.

Oooh, maybe she is the cure somehow!! That could be so interesting!!

Hahaha, everyone seems to forget Luke hasn't appeared just yet (and I have reasons for that...) but your theory about Ginn definitely seems to be a popular one!
