Restrictions on gender affirming care of all kinds are now being tightened for trans adults in Missouri. This is being done via emergency bill that will go into effect on April 27th. There will soon be a flat ban on autistic and depressed adults from receiving GAC. Not only is this alarming for all trans people, it is also a huge step back for the bodily autonomy of neurodivergent people.

Under this emergency bill, before GAC can be provided by physicians, you must a documented “intense pattern” of gender dysphoria for three years and have received at least 15 hourly sessions with a therapist over at least 18 months. Trans people would also would first have to be screened for autism and “social media addiction,” and any psychiatric symptoms from mental health issues would have to be treated and resolved.

This bill is using ableism and trans medicalism to narrow the amount of people who have access to gender affirming care.

The people who said this was about protecting children were lying, just like every trans person said they were. They have swiftly moved on to trans adults. This is about slowly tightening their noose on trans Americans until it becomes so insufferable to exist openly that we either die or go back into the closet.

Stay safe everyone, the newest anti trans talking point is out. In a matter of ~40 minutes Fox News has brought up “trans shooters” at least three separate times during a totally unrelated segment. [Donald Trump’s indictment] The framing by Fox is that trans people are slaughtering chistians.

There is now harassment going on towards trans people who have talked about arming themselves. A few instances have arisen where videos of trans people with guns have been stolen and used by fake accounts who purposefully make inflammatory tweets along side them. It has gotten to the point where the Daily Mail unironically used one of these fake accounts in an article to fear monger. In the wake of this new violent rhetoric protecting yourself will be more important than ever.

there have been 3 (4 if you believe the clubQ shooter isn’t just a troll) transgender mass-shooters since 2015, or in the last 8 years. if that seems like a big scary number to you please take into account the 2,826 shootings committed by cisgender (non-trans) people in the same amount of time.

This argument is purposefully reductive and misleading. It obfuscates what people are actually saying, removing their words from context to use it to their own benefit. No one has said being misgendered is genocide, both we know this and so do they. The culture around purposefully misgendering people is a symptom of a larger issue. It is a clear display of our society’s lack of basic respect for transgender individuals.

Trans people have already been genocide victims in the past, could you imagine if we did this for any other groups? “Stop crying about genocide it’s all in your head” to a community who was thrown in concentration camps 75 years ago. A community of people who are still murdered globally just for existing. A community who has had consistent, violent attempts to ‘convert’ them to the ‘correct’ way of living all through history. They are only able to say this because it is still socially acceptable to dispose of trans people.

Remember, the tenth stage of genocide is always denial.

because no fucking shit they're doing this. i'm so pissed at the people who act like there's no way transphobes would ever see transmascs as anything but helpless little girls, as if that narrative itself isn't something relatively new & only got popular because it was useful. of fucking course the minute they have an excuse they are going to switch from "T mutilates women's bodies" to "T makes women into psycho killers", especially non-radfems who don't give a damn about women's rights in the first place. the only reason that the pity narrative got big is because radfems changed their tune from "women betraying women to get male privilege" to "poor little girls swindled into betraying womanhood" which was useful to non-feminist conservatives & their desire to control women. now they have the perfect opportunity to change up their transphobia to make transmascs into dangerous murderers & even more justification to ban HRT & criminalize testosterone specifically.
