jacket
a/n: highkey rushed and shitty, but it's my birthday and I'm finally 21 so I don’t care. drink up pals!
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x reader
words: 1k
summary: Wednesday loses a jacket, so you buy her another one
~~~
Everything Wednesday owns had its own spot; her typewriter was always put back in the same position, her pens were placed in the same drawer, and her shoes and bag were always in the same spot. But for the life of her, Wednesday couldn't find her favorite jacket.
It's not that she didn't own any others, she has a couple other jackets that suit her needs and other clothing that can keep her warm. It's just, you got her this jacket. And, said jacket wasn't in its correct spot.
Wednesday had already looked through her closet multiple times, flicking through every single item individually. She looked around her dorm twice, leaving nothing unturned. She even looked through her dirty clothes bin. Alas, there was no hint of the jacket in her room.
She grimaced at the thought of somehow forgetting her jacket somewhere. Deciding to walk around campus to see if she spots the jacket anywhere.
She follows her footsteps from the day before, breaking into classrooms to look around, going to the library, and the cafeteria. Carefully looking and walking slowly to make sure she doesn't miss anything.
Wednesday is at a loss, someone may have stolen the jacket while she wasn't looking. But, she knows, no one in the school would dare to do that.
She knew the next logical option would be to go ask you. There's a chance she left it in your room or you had picked it up if she somehow forgot it. However, she knew you were going into town today with some of your friends.
She sighs, disappointed in herself. She feels a twinge of guilt over losing the gift. She decides to go back to her room to wait for your return, and just as she was turning the corner to her dorm, she spots you.
"Hey, Wednesday! Did you miss me today?" you asked, waiting outside her room. She walks closer, unlocking the door and watching you place your bag right next to hers, in its rightful spot.
"What makes you think that?" she responds, leading you to her bed. Watching you make yourself comfortable on the sheets.
"A little hand told me you wanted to visit me earlier," you replied easily.
"I needed your assistance," she retorted.
"Well, do you still need or want it?" you inquired, wanting to help.
"No," she answers quickly, watching you deflate and pout slightly before taking a breath and reaching behind you.
"Here, I bought this for you," you said, holding out a black gift bag, uncertainty dripping from every word.
Wednesday slowly reached out to grab the bag from your hands before opening it gently. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw a jacket just like the one she had misplaced. She picked it up tenderly, holding it as delicately as possible.
"Thing told me you were upset because you lost your favorite jacket, so I figured I'd go get you one before you decided you want to kill everyone for possibly taking it. I hope it's okay," you explained, voice getting quieter every second. You watched as she held it, watching as she just looked at it.
At her lack of response you rush out, "If you don't like it I can return it. I know you have other jackets, those would probably be warmer anyway,"
When she sees you reach out for the jacket, she turns her body, pulling it just out of your reach. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Uh, it looks like you don't want the jacket." you explain, tilting your head, confused, "So, I'm going to put it back in the bag and return it?"
"Absolutely not," she asserts.
"Wednesday," you reply blankly. You straighten your head before reaching out for the jacket again.
"It's considered rude to take back a gift," she says a little forcefully, taking a step back. Watching as your eyes light up in understanding and your hand falls back down to your lap. You hum in agreement, a small smile settling on your face knowing she wants to keep it
Wednesday turns and puts the jacket on her desk before facing you. She abhors talking about her feelings, but she wants you to understand why she favored that jacket over the rest.
She is coming realization of how childish it is to be hung up over something so trivial. She's fully aware it's just a jacket, something you bought because you thought she'd like it. But it's a gift from you.
"It was yours," is all that came out as she takes a seat next to you. She watches as your face warps into one of concern. You nod, not wanting to disrupt her.
"It was the one you bought for me, that's the reason I was looking for it" you hum in understanding. You're both quiet for a moment, a twisted happiness comes over you. You hadn't realized Wednesday treasured your gifts so much. When you realize she's not going to say anything further you stand. She looks up at you from her position on the bed.
"Maybe, I can help you look for it?" you ask, wanting to help. "We could go look right now if you want,"
Wednesday's eyes soften at your offer, shaking her head. You were always so considerate it made her chest fill with warmth. "No, not right now."
You tilt your head, her eyes still shadowed with guilt. You know taking her mind off of the sweater should help, "Do you want to go get some dinner with me? I hardly ate today and I did a lot of walking,"
Wednesday's eyes seem to perk up a bit at the idea before narrowing, "You 'hardly' ate today?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.
You gulp before awkwardly chuckling, rubbing the back of your neck trying to think of a response.
"Fine, only because you didn't eat enough today." she declares, standing from her seat. She walks past you to the new jacket and puts it on.
You smile softly, knowing that jacket will turn out to be one of her favorites. You turn to walk towards your bags, you’re stopped by a hand in your wrist and turn around to face her.
“Thank you, for the gift,” Wednesday says softly.
You smile again, pressing a quick kiss on her forehead, “I’ll buy you a jacket whenever you want, okay?”
A small smile spreads across her lips, she nods before grabbing both of your bags and walking with you to dinner.
Music
a/n: I had this done like 3 weeks ago, forgive me.
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x reader
words: 1.3k
~~~
Wednesday loves music. She takes pleasure in dissecting songs; learning the key elements of it, and how to play it, no matter how difficult. She learned to play many instruments and studied pieces that are normally difficult for an average human. Yet, it doesn't matter how much music or how many pieces she listens to, Wednesday's favorite melody is your laughter.
She came to this realization when she heard you laugh for the first time. That was months ago — no other musical piece comes close to the one you make. When she discovers a new song and just when she thinks it's her new favorite you come in and ruin it.
Wednesday wants to be irritated; good harmonies are somewhat hard to come across. Yet, your laughter is always accompanied by a smile and eyes reserved only for her and she can't stay mad.
She invites you to listen to her practice new pieces on her cello. It starts off as an occasional thing but quickly evolved into an every-time thing. She hoped if she was around more music that one would take the top spot. But Thing, her designated page flipper, always manages to say something that makes you laugh and she's forced back to square one. This time, with thoughts of ripping Thing's fingers off.
During her cello sessions, you always sat on the floor in front of her. When she had inquired why you don't bring a chair out, you'd nonchalantly reply, "You look pretty when you're concentrated, I don't mind sitting on the floor,". She went to buy you an extra pillow to sit on the next day, forcing you to use it from then on.
When you come to listen, your full attention is on her. It doesn't matter what noises Enid is making inside or what is happening below the balcony. If her fingers stagger just a tad when you make eye contact, you don't mention it, and neither does she. She, now, concerns herself with avoiding eye contact until the piece is over, overly interested in the musical notes in front of her.
Wednesday wouldn't tell you, worried you'd say you didn’t have to be there, but she now has a hard time focusing on her music when you're there. Just like now, instead of concentrating on the music in front of her, she's thinking about you. She hadn't even realized she finished the piece until you said something.
"I know I've heard you play your cello before, but that was amazing!" you compliment from your spot on the floor, smiling brightly at her. "I'm not so good at music, but you'll have to teach me sometime!" you said, laughing at yourself with a smile so bright Wednesday could compare it to the Sun itself.
Her breath hitches, fingers tightening around her cello. She finds herself staring at you, taking in that expression that was only for her. You're unaware of the effect you have on her, and that's slightly bothersome.
Wednesday is well aware of the hold you have on her. She knows, without a doubt, your voice is the perfect pitch, and that the tonality and dynamics of your voice are unmatched. Your laugh is her favorite melody, and she's aware she's willing to do anything to hear it again. She pauses.
Wednesday has always heard of the idiom 'march to the beat of your own drum'. She knows what it means and has never cared for it. But, now she wonders what the beat of your drum sounds like.
Wednesday tilts her head slightly, looking down at you with an expression you couldn’t read. "Wednesday, are you okay?" you ask, tilting your head in return.
Clearing her throat and straightening her head, she replies, "Yes,". Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Thing scurry back inside. She moves her cello to be propped against its stand, turning to fully face you.
"Well, why are you looking at me like that?" your eyebrows furrowed.
"Give me your hand," she says, ignoring your question.
You laugh slightly, unknowingly making her heart beat just a little faster. "What are you going to do? Cut a finger off?" you ask teasingly, moving your body closer, slowly stretching your arm towards her.
"Are you offering?" she asks, guiding your hand closer and into her lap. She lets the warmth of your hand seep into the skin of her own.
You shook your head and wiggled your fingers, "Nope, sorry. I quite like having all my fingers."
"What a shame," she whispered, gently moving your palm upwards, resting one of her hands in yours; secretly enjoying the warmth. If you ask, she'll tell you it's to keep you from moving. She put her index and middle finger on the bottom of your wrist, just below your thumb. The radial pulse point.
It took some adjustment, moving and varying the pressure of her fingers until she could feel it. Your pulse; the beat of your drum. Strong, steady, and just slightly elevated. She understands that this pulse is the reason her favorite melody exists, the reason you’re here right now — the reason she met you. She decides, right then, your heartbeat is her favorite rhythm.
She's counting the beats, hoping to memorize the number before she has to let go. You break the silence after a couple seconds, "You checking to see if I'm alive?"
"You're obviously alive. Why would I need to check that?" she dryly asks, meeting your gaze but not removing her hands from yours.
"If you're not checking for that, then what are you doing?" you innocently pry, wanting an answer.
Wednesday doesn't have one, not one she thinks you’d understand. She just wanted to discover more about you. You didn't need to know that, though. Her mouth opens and closes before she shakes her head, indicating she wouldn't tell you.
You tilt your head and pout slightly, Wednesday's eyes flicker to your lips. She knows you're about to say something, and she knows if you keep looking at her like that her resolve will break.
So, she does the only thing she can think of. When it looks like you're about to say something she pulls you closer by the hand in her lap. She connects your lips unceremoniously; closing her eyes when she feels you relax under her touch. She keeps one hand on your wrist and the other moves to the back of your neck.
She feels your pulse spike under her fingertips, and the euphoria she experiences is overwhelming.
She instinctively pulls you closer to her, pushing herself into you. The glide of your lips on hers is exhilarating on its own, but feeling the effect she has on you? The feeling is in a class of its own. She allows herself to get lost in the moment. Just enjoying the feeling of your heartbeat, the mesmerizing sensation of your lips and hands on her skin.
Wednesday only pulls away when she truly needs air. Connecting your foreheads together and letting your breaths mingle. She keeps her eyes closed, giving you time to catch your breath. She's forced to open her eyes when you pull away and giggle.
"If that had been your end goal, you could've just asked.", she's met with your red-tinted cheeks and kiss-swollen lips that are pulled into a soft smile with your bottom lip stuck between your teeth.
She maneuvers her hand to caress your cheek and has her thumb gently pull your lip from between your teeth, her other fingers slightly pressing on your pulse point. Her lips pull upwards when she sees your dazed look and feels your pulse jump.
Wednesday helplessly kisses you again; this one softer than before. Your pulse jumps when your lips touch hers and the euphoria returns.

summary: Wednesday struggles to send you a text but manages to invite you over to the Addams mansion. you meet the fam
~~~
It had been one week since you had last seen Wednesday, both of you settling back into your homes. She assumes it's taking you longer to settle in due to you not having a Lurch to carry all of your things. At least, that's the excuse she's using to justify you not contacting her.
It's only been a week but your absence has been obvious the moment your car drove off. There were no random visits or someone to just spend time with in silence. There was no one to talk to about her novel or tell her ideas she would not use. It had also been unnecessarily sunny, something Wednesday could only put up with because it reminded her of you.
She walked over to her bag and pulled out the phone she was gifted, looking at it for a moment before opening it and clicking on your contact. She stared at your picture for a moment before realizing something.
You do not have her contact information.
Wednesday felt panic and embarrassment creep into her stomach. What if you had been waiting for her to reach out? How could she have forgotten such a simple thing? She may have gotten so caught up in being able to terrorize Pugsley that it slipped her mind. She had to fix this, would it be better to call or text you?
She'd like to hear your voice again, but if an unknown number called would you pick up? If you had any common sense, you wouldn't. There was also a higher chance of you answering a text. There was just one problem with that, she didn’t know what to say.
Yes, she had been planning everything out — from the first letter and texts and what to talk about. But, this situation was a little more frightening than Wednesday had anticipated. She had not been planning on forgetting to message you, and now she was worried you thought she didn’t want to talk to you.
Quickly pressing the message button and seeing the empty text line tied her stomach into knots. Her thumbs hovered over the keyboard, not knowing what to type. Every message she typed out she was forced to delete because she didn't like it. She shook her head and decided that this was the last message she'd type.
Good afternoon, this is Wednesday.
Before she could change her mind she hit send, hit the power button, and put the phone on her desk. Her hands itched to pick up the phone and see if you had responded but she forced herself to focus on something else — mainly hunting Pugsley.
The next time she had the chance to check the phone was after dinner. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a notification from you. Opening the message she saw a simple, "Hi Wednesday!"
She briefly wondered if you had gone through the same predicament as herself. Her thoughts are cut short by the three text bubbles under your previous message followed by a new message.
"Are you busy right now?"
Her eyes narrowed, thinking through the possibilities of what could happen if she said no. She wasn't busy, dinner had just finished and everyone went off to do their own thing for the night. She looked at the door and calculated how likely it would be for someone to walk in anytime soon.
No, I'm not.
A minute after she sent the message her phone started buzzing with an incoming Facetime from you. She tilted her head, not exactly knowing which button to press as if the color-coded buttons weren't enough. Her phone eventually stopped vibrating, and she saw the 'missed call' notification before another message from you popped up.
"It's the green button, Wednesday"
A few seconds later another Facetime call came in, and when she pressed the green button like instructed your face popped into view. You were lightly laughing, a big smile on your face, and Wednesday had never been so relieved to see your face.
"Why are you laughing?" she inquired.
"I'm sorry. I can just imagine how confused you looked while getting the call," you said through a fit of giggles.
"Glad to know it's so amusing," Wednesday replied dryly.
"Oh, come on! It's funny! Besides, it's sort of cute that you didn't know." the cute smile on your face made her anger turn into embarrassment, "Or I'd like to think you didn't know. Otherwise, you just let my call ring out."
"Maybe I had the urge to hit the red button." your mouth formed an 'o' shape at her quip.
"Wednesday, that's so mean!" you whined like a child.
"Good." you opened your mouth to gibe at Wednesday but she continued, "I'd like to formally invite you to visit the Addams mansion."
You paused, needing a second to comprehend what she had just said. She's inviting you to her house? At a loss for words, you say, "Really?"
"Is that so hard to believe? I can retract the offer-" panic flashes across your features.
"No!" the volume of your voice surprises you, quietly clearing your throat before continuing. "No, it's just.. Uh... Yeah, I'd love to visit. When is good for you?"
"Tomorrow." your jaw dropped again before realizing she was messing with you.
"Wednesday Addams has learned sarcasm. Who would've thought? Give this girl an award or something."
"Say anything like that again and I'll-" you cut her off.
"Anyways, you need to give me at least 2 days' notice. I'll need to tell my parents and you'll need to tell me how long I'll be there so I can pack clothes." it's Wednesday's turn to pause.
"Your parents won't mind?" she asks stunned.
"Oh no, as long as they know where I'm going they don't care." Wednesday sent you a look, "It's true! Last summer, I spent the entire break at my friend's house and they didn't care. They texted me occasionally to make sure I was alive, but other than that there was nothing." you shrugged.
Wednesday was slightly appalled by your parents' lack of care for their child. "I see. Then why don't you come over at the start of next week and stay for a couple of days," she suggested. Unsure if you'd want to stay more than that, she knows her family can be a lot.
"Only a couple of days? But yeah, sounds good to me. I assume I should pack colorless clothes for this trip?" you ask, unknowingly making Wednesday's heart beat just a little faster.
"That would be preferred. I'll send you the address, date, and time to arrive."
"Sounds like a plan!" you looked at your clock past the camera, "Hey Wednesday, I have to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay," she breathed out.
"Bye, my love!" you said quickly before ending the call.
Wednesday looked at the date on her phone and started counting down the hours till you would show up at her doorstep.
---
Once Wednesday had figured out how to properly call you and not freak out about texting you she did it constantly. She found herself looking forward to the nightly calls you two would have and the messages that would be exchanged. Seeing your face and hearing your voice every day made your absence not as acute. She wouldn't say she's a slave to technology, but she can see why people would become that way.
You had started packing for your short trip to the Addams' house as soon as you got invited, needing to find enough dark clothes for the short trip. When the day came, you loaded your bag in the car before telling your parents you were leaving for a few days. You texted Wednesday before starting the drive. The drive was surprisingly only a couple of hours, you had no idea she was that close to you.
When you finally arrived, you parked your car next to the only other car there. Eagerly getting out of the car to stretch your legs and texting Wednesday to inform her you're here.
Wednesday calling it a mansion was right, the house is huge. It's probably the biggest and darkest colored house you've ever seen in your life. Once the feeling returns to your butt, you grab your bag and walk to the front of the house. You take a calming breath before knocking.
You only have to wait a couple of seconds before the door is yanked open to reveal Wednesday. You smile widely at her and her lips twitch upwards, a ghost of a smile on her lips.
"Hi, long time no see," you said, smiling brightly at her. Wednesday wouldn't tell you, but you look great in black, and the way your smiling at her takes her breath away. She feels something warm bubble in her chest at the knowledge that you did what you said you would — bring colorless and wear clothes.
"Hello," Wednesday replies, looking as relaxed as you've ever seen her. Your eyes soften at the sight and your smile widens just a little bit more. You see her open the door wider, signaling you to walk inside.
When you do, you're met with the wide grin of Gomez, the soft smile of Morticia, and Pugsley sticking his head around the corner. Quickly putting on a polite smile and sticking your hand out, "Hi, my name is Y/N. It's a pleasure to meet you."
You see them give each other a look before Morticia reached out to shake your hand, "The pleasure is all ours, dear. I'm Morticia, Wednesday's mom." your smile widens at that. You turn to Gomez and stick your hand out for him. He looks at it for a second before sticking his own hand out. As soon as his hand reaches yours he's pulling you into a bone-crushing hug, "Yes! The pleasure is really all ours!" he's aggressively rocking you side to side before pulling away and keeping his hands on your shoulders.
"My name is Gomez, it's really nice to see someone new at this house! Everyone that comes here is either a couple of relatives or a couple of ghosts!" he exclaimed heartily. He gently squeezed your shoulders before letting go.
"Oh, your house is haunted? That's kind of cool!" you said, lying through your teeth. The prospect of ghosts is unsettling, but they didn't need to know that. You look to the boy next and stick your hand out.
"I'm Pugsley, Wednesday's little brother," he says shyly while walking up to you, not used to so many eyes being on him. He gingerly slides his hand into yours, and you smile. Hoping to make him comfortable.
"So, are you one of Wednesday's friends?" he asks and you nod, "That's good, I'm glad she's making friends" You laugh and lean down closer to him, looking like you’re telling him a secret.
"Me too, she was kinda scary when I met her. I thought she was going to gut me when I first talked to her," you whisper to him.
"Yeah, she kind of does that," he says laughing. You smile down at him, knowing you managed to make him feel less awkward. You miss Morticia's smile.
"Well, why don't you let Lurch take your bag to one of the guest rooms and let Wednesday give you a tour of the house while lunch is prepared." Morticia proposes in a soft voice. You make your way back over to Wednesday's side, comfortable with how those conversations went.
"Y/N will be staying in my room, Lurch can take her bag there." Both her parents look surprised at that. Morticia is quickly connecting the dots.
"I see, alright then. I'll inform Lurch to take her bag to your room." Morticia replied kindly.
"Lurch? Who's Lurch?" you ask.
A grunt is heard from behind you. Turning to greet the person only to be met with someone's chest. Letting out a tiny squeak of surprise and taking a quick step back to look back at the towering man. You clear your throat, hoping to get rid of the lingering embarrassment, "Hi, I'm Y/N." you stick your hand out to shake his.
He looks at Gomez and Morticia before looking down at you and gently sliding his hand into yours. His hands are calloused and big, and his grip is slightly too tight. When he lets go of your hand you look at your hand and see it start to redden. You look up at him in amazement and give him a thumbs up, "You're strong! Your hands are tough too, do you build things or something? Do you fix things around the house?"
"That's enough. I'm giving you the tour now." Wednesday said, turning around and walking off, slightly irritated to see you talk to her family more than herself.
Your head looks between Lurch, Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Wednesday's retreating form. Torn between staying and talking or following Wednesday. Unsure if you want to seem impolite to her family or have Wednesday be mad at you. You want Wednesday's family to like you, but you don’t want to upset Wednesday more than you already did.
"It's okay sweetheart," Morticia says, slightly nodding her head in Wednesday's direction, indicating you to follow her.
"Ah, yes ma'am. Thank you!" you say, words rushed as you wave and turn to rush to Wednesday's side.
When you finally reach her, quickly falling into stride with her angry footsteps. You stay quiet, just enjoying being next to her.
"You don’t need to be nice to my family," Wednesday huffed, breaking the quiet air surrounding you two.
"I actually like them, they're super nice." she grunts in response, "Is your house really haunted though?"
Wednesday feels a smirk pull at her lips, "Of course, that's why I had your bag put in my room. You're too much of a coward to sleep alone in a house as haunted as this one."
You slowly push yourself closer to Wednesday, not appreciating the haunted state of the house. Your shoulders brush and Wednesday finds your fear adorable.
"Don't worry, darling. The ghosts know better than to come into my room. You'll be safe with me." she says softly.
---
"Y/N, how was the tour?" Morticia asked politely, trying to make conversation while lunch was being laid out.
"It was great! Your home is beautiful in its own little eerie way! Not to mention all the weapons you have in here, so cool Mrs. Addams!" you said excitedly, truly enjoying the house in all of its glory.
Wednesday feels a smile pull at her lips, feeling giddy about the fact you enjoy the house as much as you do. She quickly takes the spot next to you. She feels even more giddy at the look on your face when the lunch that Lurch made is brought out. You look cautious of what's in it. When a plate is handed to you, you hesitantly take it.
You patiently wait for something to happen, but everyone has started eating — well, everyone except Lurch. He's turned to walk back out of the room, you tilt your head at that. You turn to him, "Lurch, are you going to eat?" you ask loud enough for him to hear you but soft enough so it doesn't sound accusatory.
He shakes his head and you hear Gomez start laughing, "I really like this one! You did good, my little death trap."
Your face turns bright red. Wednesday's face has even turned a slight red color, making Gomez laugh harder and Pugsley let out a small laugh of his own. You're suddenly very interested in your food, trying to keep your head down for the rest of lunch, hoping to avoid embarrassing yourself further. It only works for a few minutes.
"So, Y/N, why don't you tell us about yourself. We've heard nothing about you," Morticia says sweetly.
Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Lurch watched you rush to follow Wednesday to start the tour. They all watch as you watch Wednesday point things out in the house until you turn a corner.
"Wow, I like that one. Hopefully they stay friends!" Gomez says, knowing the others agree with him. Lurch grunts in approval, and Pugsley nods in agreement.
"They're definitely not just friends," Morticia states before walking away.
"Huh??" Gomez and Pugsley said, whipping their heads to look back at Morticia. When she didn't acknowledge either of them, they turned to Lurch for confirmation.
All Lurch did was nod his head before moving to take your bag to Wednesday's room.
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x reader
words: 2.5k
summary: Wednesday struggles to send you a text but manages to invite you over to the Addams mansion. you meet the fam
~~~
It had been one week since you had last seen Wednesday, both of you settling back into your homes. She assumes it's taking you longer to settle in due to you not having a Lurch to carry all of your things. At least, that's the excuse she's using to justify you not contacting her.
It's only been a week but your absence has been obvious the moment your car drove off. There were no random visits or someone to just spend time with in silence. There was no one to talk to about her novel or tell her ideas she would not use. It had also been unnecessarily sunny, something Wednesday could only put up with because it reminded her of you.
She walked over to her bag and pulled out the phone she was gifted, looking at it for a moment before opening it and clicking on your contact. She stared at your picture for a moment before realizing something.
You do not have her contact information.
Wednesday felt panic and embarrassment creep into her stomach. What if you had been waiting for her to reach out? How could she have forgotten such a simple thing? She may have gotten so caught up in being able to terrorize Pugsley that it slipped her mind. She had to fix this, would it be better to call or text you?
She'd like to hear your voice again, but if an unknown number called would you pick up? If you had any common sense, you wouldn't. There was also a higher chance of you answering a text. There was just one problem with that, she didn’t know what to say.
Yes, she had been planning everything out — from the first letter and texts and what to talk about. But, this situation was a little more frightening than Wednesday had anticipated. She had not been planning on forgetting to message you, and now she was worried you thought she didn’t want to talk to you.
Quickly pressing the message button and seeing the empty text line tied her stomach into knots. Her thumbs hovered over the keyboard, not knowing what to type. Every message she typed out she was forced to delete because she didn't like it. She shook her head and decided that this was the last message she'd type.
Good afternoon, this is Wednesday.
Before she could change her mind she hit send, hit the power button, and put the phone on her desk. Her hands itched to pick up the phone and see if you had responded but she forced herself to focus on something else — mainly hunting Pugsley.
The next time she had the chance to check the phone was after dinner. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a notification from you. Opening the message she saw a simple, "Hi Wednesday!"
She briefly wondered if you had gone through the same predicament as herself. Her thoughts are cut short by the three text bubbles under your previous message followed by a new message.
"Are you busy right now?"
Her eyes narrowed, thinking through the possibilities of what could happen if she said no. She wasn't busy, dinner had just finished and everyone went off to do their own thing for the night. She looked at the door and calculated how likely it would be for someone to walk in anytime soon.
No, I'm not.
A minute after she sent the message her phone started buzzing with an incoming Facetime from you. She tilted her head, not exactly knowing which button to press as if the color-coded buttons weren't enough. Her phone eventually stopped vibrating, and she saw the 'missed call' notification before another message from you popped up.
"It's the green button, Wednesday"
A few seconds later another Facetime call came in, and when she pressed the green button like instructed your face popped into view. You were lightly laughing, a big smile on your face, and Wednesday had never been so relieved to see your face.
"Why are you laughing?" she inquired.
"I'm sorry. I can just imagine how confused you looked while getting the call," you said through a fit of giggles.
"Glad to know it's so amusing," Wednesday replied dryly.
"Oh, come on! It's funny! Besides, it's sort of cute that you didn't know." the cute smile on your face made her anger turn into embarrassment, "Or I'd like to think you didn't know. Otherwise, you just let my call ring out."
"Maybe I had the urge to hit the red button." your mouth formed an 'o' shape at her quip.
"Wednesday, that's so mean!" you whined like a child.
"Good." you opened your mouth to gibe at Wednesday but she continued, "I'd like to formally invite you to visit the Addams mansion."
You paused, needing a second to comprehend what she had just said. She's inviting you to her house? At a loss for words, you say, "Really?"
"Is that so hard to believe? I can retract the offer-" panic flashes across your features.
"No!" the volume of your voice surprises you, quietly clearing your throat before continuing. "No, it's just.. Uh... Yeah, I'd love to visit. When is good for you?"
"Tomorrow." your jaw dropped again before realizing she was messing with you.
"Wednesday Addams has learned sarcasm. Who would've thought? Give this girl an award or something."
"Say anything like that again and I'll-" you cut her off.
"Anyways, you need to give me at least 2 days' notice. I'll need to tell my parents and you'll need to tell me how long I'll be there so I can pack clothes." it's Wednesday's turn to pause.
"Your parents won't mind?" she asks stunned.
"Oh no, as long as they know where I'm going they don't care." Wednesday sent you a look, "It's true! Last summer, I spent the entire break at my friend's house and they didn't care. They texted me occasionally to make sure I was alive, but other than that there was nothing." you shrugged.
Wednesday was slightly appalled by your parents' lack of care for their child. "I see. Then why don't you come over at the start of next week and stay for a couple of days," she suggested. Unsure if you'd want to stay more than that, she knows her family can be a lot.
"Only a couple of days? But yeah, sounds good to me. I assume I should pack colorless clothes for this trip?" you ask, unknowingly making Wednesday's heart beat just a little faster.
"That would be preferred. I'll send you the address, date, and time to arrive."
"Sounds like a plan!" you looked at your clock past the camera, "Hey Wednesday, I have to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay," she breathed out.
"Bye, my love!" you said quickly before ending the call.
Wednesday looked at the date on her phone and started counting down the hours till you would show up at her doorstep.
---
Once Wednesday had figured out how to properly call you and not freak out about texting you she did it constantly. She found herself looking forward to the nightly calls you two would have and the messages that would be exchanged. Seeing your face and hearing your voice every day made your absence not as acute. She wouldn't say she's a slave to technology, but she can see why people would become that way.
You had started packing for your short trip to the Addams' house as soon as you got invited, needing to find enough dark clothes for the short trip. When the day came, you loaded your bag in the car before telling your parents you were leaving for a few days. You texted Wednesday before starting the drive. The drive was surprisingly only a couple of hours, you had no idea she was that close to you.
When you finally arrived, you parked your car next to the only other car there. Eagerly getting out of the car to stretch your legs and texting Wednesday to inform her you're here.
Wednesday calling it a mansion was right, the house is huge. It's probably the biggest and darkest colored house you've ever seen in your life. Once the feeling returns to your butt, you grab your bag and walk to the front of the house. You take a calming breath before knocking.
You only have to wait a couple of seconds before the door is yanked open to reveal Wednesday. You smile widely at her and her lips twitch upwards, a ghost of a smile on her lips.
"Hi, long time no see," you said, smiling brightly at her. Wednesday wouldn't tell you, but you look great in black, and the way your smiling at her takes her breath away. She feels something warm bubble in her chest at the knowledge that you did what you said you would — bring colorless and wear clothes.
"Hello," Wednesday replies, looking as relaxed as you've ever seen her. Your eyes soften at the sight and your smile widens just a little bit more. You see her open the door wider, signaling you to walk inside.
When you do, you're met with the wide grin of Gomez, the soft smile of Morticia, and Pugsley sticking his head around the corner. Quickly putting on a polite smile and sticking your hand out, "Hi, my name is Y/N. It's a pleasure to meet you."
You see them give each other a look before Morticia reached out to shake your hand, "The pleasure is all ours, dear. I'm Morticia, Wednesday's mom." your smile widens at that. You turn to Gomez and stick your hand out for him. He looks at it for a second before sticking his own hand out. As soon as his hand reaches yours he's pulling you into a bone-crushing hug, "Yes! The pleasure is really all ours!" he's aggressively rocking you side to side before pulling away and keeping his hands on your shoulders.
"My name is Gomez, it's really nice to see someone new at this house! Everyone that comes here is either a couple of relatives or a couple of ghosts!" he exclaimed heartily. He gently squeezed your shoulders before letting go.
"Oh, your house is haunted? That's kind of cool!" you said, lying through your teeth. The prospect of ghosts is unsettling, but they didn't need to know that. You look to the boy next and stick your hand out.
"I'm Pugsley, Wednesday's little brother," he says shyly while walking up to you, not used to so many eyes being on him. He gingerly slides his hand into yours, and you smile. Hoping to make him comfortable.
"So, are you one of Wednesday's friends?" he asks and you nod, "That's good, I'm glad she's making friends" You laugh and lean down closer to him, looking like you’re telling him a secret.
"Me too, she was kinda scary when I met her. I thought she was going to gut me when I first talked to her," you whisper to him.
"Yeah, she kind of does that," he says laughing. You smile down at him, knowing you managed to make him feel less awkward. You miss Morticia's smile.
"Well, why don't you let Lurch take your bag to one of the guest rooms and let Wednesday give you a tour of the house while lunch is prepared." Morticia proposes in a soft voice. You make your way back over to Wednesday's side, comfortable with how those conversations went.
"Y/N will be staying in my room, Lurch can take her bag there." Both her parents look surprised at that. Morticia is quickly connecting the dots.
"I see, alright then. I'll inform Lurch to take her bag to your room." Morticia replied kindly.
"Lurch? Who's Lurch?" you ask.
A grunt is heard from behind you. Turning to greet the person only to be met with someone's chest. Letting out a tiny squeak of surprise and taking a quick step back to look back at the towering man. You clear your throat, hoping to get rid of the lingering embarrassment, "Hi, I'm Y/N." you stick your hand out to shake his.
He looks at Gomez and Morticia before looking down at you and gently sliding his hand into yours. His hands are calloused and big, and his grip is slightly too tight. When he lets go of your hand you look at your hand and see it start to redden. You look up at him in amazement and give him a thumbs up, "You're strong! Your hands are tough too, do you build things or something? Do you fix things around the house?"

When you finally reach her, quickly falling into stride with her angry footsteps. You stay quiet, just enjoying being next to her.
"You don’t need to be nice to my family," Wednesday huffed, breaking the quiet air surrounding you two.
"I actually like them, they're super nice." she grunts in response, "Is your house really haunted though?"
Wednesday feels a smirk pull at her lips, "Of course, that's why I had your bag put in my room. You're too much of a coward to sleep alone in a house as haunted as this one."
You slowly push yourself closer to Wednesday, not appreciating the haunted state of the house. Your shoulders brush and Wednesday finds your fear adorable.
"Don't worry, darling. The ghosts know better than to come into my room. You'll be safe with me." she says softly.
---
"Y/N, how was the tour?" Morticia asked politely, trying to make conversation while lunch was being laid out.
"It was great! Your home is beautiful in its own little eerie way! Not to mention all the weapons you have in here, so cool Mrs. Addams!" you said excitedly, truly enjoying the house in all of its glory.
Wednesday feels a smile pull at her lips, feeling giddy about the fact you enjoy the house as much as you do. She quickly takes the spot next to you. She feels even more giddy at the look on your face when the lunch that Lurch made is brought out. You look cautious of what's in it. When a plate is handed to you, you hesitantly take it.
You patiently wait for something to happen, but everyone has started eating — well, everyone except Lurch. He's turned to walk back out of the room, you tilt your head at that. You turn to him, "Lurch, are you going to eat?" you ask loud enough for him to hear you but soft enough so it doesn't sound accusatory.
He shakes his head and you hear Gomez start laughing, "I really like this one! You did good, my little death trap."
Your face turns bright red. Wednesday's face has even turned a slight red color, making Gomez laugh harder and Pugsley let out a small laugh of his own. You're suddenly very interested in your food, trying to keep your head down for the rest of lunch, hoping to avoid embarrassing yourself further. It only works for a few minutes.
"So, Y/N, why don't you tell us about yourself. We've heard nothing about you," Morticia says sweetly.

Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Lurch watched you rush to follow Wednesday to start the tour. They all watch as you watch Wednesday point things out in the house until you turn a corner.
"Wow, I like that one. Hopefully they stay friends!" Gomez says, knowing the others agree with him. Lurch grunts in approval, and Pugsley nods in agreement.
"They're definitely not just friends," Morticia states before walking away.
"Huh??" Gomez and Pugsley said, whipping their heads to look back at Morticia. When she didn't acknowledge either of them, they turned to Lurch for confirmation.
All Lurch did was nod his head before moving to take your bag to Wednesday's room.

Pairing: Wednesday Addams x reader

~~~
It had been one week since you had last seen Wednesday, both of you settling back into your homes. She assumes it's taking you longer to settle in due to you not having a Lurch to carry all of your things. At least, that's the excuse she's using to justify you not contacting her.
It's only been a week but your absence has been obvious the moment your car drove off. There were no random visits or someone to just spend time with in silence. There was no one to talk to about her novel or tell her ideas she would not use. It had also been unnecessarily sunny, something Wednesday could only put up with because it reminded her of you.
She walked over to her bag and pulled out the phone she was gifted, looking at it for a moment before opening it and clicking on your contact. She stared at your picture for a moment before realizing something.
You do not have her contact information.
Wednesday felt panic and embarrassment creep into her stomach. What if you had been waiting for her to reach out? How could she have forgotten such a simple thing? She may have gotten so caught up in being able to terrorize Pugsley that it slipped her mind. She had to fix this, would it be better to call or text you?
She'd like to hear your voice again, but if an unknown number called would you pick up? If you had any common sense, you wouldn't. There was also a higher chance of you answering a text. There was just one problem with that, she didn’t know what to say.
Yes, she had been planning everything out — from the first letter and texts and what to talk about. But, this situation was a little more frightening than Wednesday had anticipated. She had not been planning on forgetting to message you, and now she was worried you thought she didn’t want to talk to you.
Quickly pressing the message button and seeing the empty text line tied her stomach into knots. Her thumbs hovered over the keyboard, not knowing what to type. Every message she typed out she was forced to delete because she didn't like it. She shook her head and decided that this was the last message she'd type.
Good afternoon, this is Wednesday.
Before she could change her mind she hit send, hit the power button, and put the phone on her desk. Her hands itched to pick up the phone and see if you had responded but she forced herself to focus on something else — mainly hunting Pugsley.
The next time she had the chance to check the phone was after dinner. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a notification from you. Opening the message she saw a simple, "Hi Wednesday!"
She briefly wondered if you had gone through the same predicament as herself. Her thoughts are cut short by the three text bubbles under your previous message followed by a new message.
"Are you busy right now?"
Her eyes narrowed, thinking through the possibilities of what could happen if she said no. She wasn't busy, dinner had just finished and everyone went off to do their own thing for the night. She looked at the door and calculated how likely it would be for someone to walk in anytime soon.
No, I'm not.
A minute after she sent the message her phone started buzzing with an incoming Facetime from you. She tilted her head, not exactly knowing which button to press as if the color-coded buttons weren't enough. Her phone eventually stopped vibrating, and she saw the 'missed call' notification before another message from you popped up.
"It's the green button, Wednesday"
A few seconds later another Facetime call came in, and when she pressed the green button like instructed your face popped into view. You were lightly laughing, a big smile on your face, and Wednesday had never been so relieved to see your face.
"Why are you laughing?" she inquired.
"I'm sorry. I can just imagine how confused you looked while getting the call," you said through a fit of giggles.
"Glad to know it's so amusing," Wednesday replied dryly.
"Oh, come on! It's funny! Besides, it's sort of cute that you didn't know." the cute smile on your face made her anger turn into embarrassment, "Or I'd like to think you didn't know. Otherwise, you just let my call ring out."
"Maybe I had the urge to hit the red button." your mouth formed an 'o' shape at her quip.
"Wednesday, that's so mean!" you whined like a child.
"Good." you opened your mouth to gibe at Wednesday but she continued, "I'd like to formally invite you to visit the Addams mansion."
You paused, needing a second to comprehend what she had just said. She's inviting you to her house? At a loss for words, you say, "Really?"
"Is that so hard to believe? I can retract the offer-" panic flashes across your features.
"No!" the volume of your voice surprises you, quietly clearing your throat before continuing. "No, it's just.. Uh... Yeah, I'd love to visit. When is good for you?"
"Tomorrow." your jaw dropped again before realizing she was messing with you.
"Wednesday Addams has learned sarcasm. Who would've thought? Give this girl an award or something."
"Say anything like that again and I'll-" you cut her off.
"Anyways, you need to give me at least 2 days' notice. I'll need to tell my parents and you'll need to tell me how long I'll be there so I can pack clothes." it's Wednesday's turn to pause.
"Your parents won't mind?" she asks stunned.
"Oh no, as long as they know where I'm going they don't care." Wednesday sent you a look, "It's true! Last summer, I spent the entire break at my friend's house and they didn't care. They texted me occasionally to make sure I was alive, but other than that there was nothing." you shrugged.
Wednesday was slightly appalled by your parents' lack of care for their child. "I see. Then why don't you come over at the start of next week and stay for a couple of days," she suggested. Unsure if you'd want to stay more than that, she knows her family can be a lot.
"Only a couple of days? But yeah, sounds good to me. I assume I should pack colorless clothes for this trip?" you ask, unknowingly making Wednesday's heart beat just a little faster.
"That would be preferred. I'll send you the address, date, and time to arrive."
"Sounds like a plan!" you looked at your clock past the camera, "Hey Wednesday, I have to go. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay," she breathed out.
"Bye, my love!" you said quickly before ending the call.
Wednesday looked at the date on her phone and started counting down the hours till you would show up at her doorstep.
---
Once Wednesday had figured out how to properly call you and not freak out about texting you she did it constantly. She found herself looking forward to the nightly calls you two would have and the messages that would be exchanged. Seeing your face and hearing your voice every day made your absence not as acute. She wouldn't say she's a slave to technology, but she can see why people would become that way.
You had started packing for your short trip to the Addams' house as soon as you got invited, needing to find enough dark clothes for the short trip. When the day came, you loaded your bag in the car before telling your parents you were leaving for a few days. You texted Wednesday before starting the drive. The drive was surprisingly only a couple of hours, you had no idea she was that close to you.
When you finally arrived, you parked your car next to the only other car there. Eagerly getting out of the car to stretch your legs and texting Wednesday to inform her you're here.
Wednesday calling it a mansion was right, the house is huge. It's probably the biggest and darkest colored house you've ever seen in your life. Once the feeling returns to your butt, you grab your bag and walk to the front of the house. You take a calming breath before knocking.
You only have to wait a couple of seconds before the door is yanked open to reveal Wednesday. You smile widely at her and her lips twitch upwards, a ghost of a smile on her lips.
"Hi, long time no see," you said, smiling brightly at her. Wednesday wouldn't tell you, but you look great in black, and the way your smiling at her takes her breath away. She feels something warm bubble in her chest at the knowledge that you did what you said you would — bring colorless and wear clothes.
"Hello," Wednesday replies, looking as relaxed as you've ever seen her. Your eyes soften at the sight and your smile widens just a little bit more. You see her open the door wider, signaling you to walk inside.
When you do, you're met with the wide grin of Gomez, the soft smile of Morticia, and Pugsley sticking his head around the corner. Quickly putting on a polite smile and sticking your hand out, "Hi, my name is Y/N. It's a pleasure to meet you."
You see them give each other a look before Morticia reached out to shake your hand, "The pleasure is all ours, dear. I'm Morticia, Wednesday's mom." your smile widens at that. You turn to Gomez and stick your hand out for him. He looks at it for a second before sticking his own hand out. As soon as his hand reaches yours he's pulling you into a bone-crushing hug, "Yes! The pleasure is really all ours!" he's aggressively rocking you side to side before pulling away and keeping his hands on your shoulders.
"My name is Gomez, it's really nice to see someone new at this house! Everyone that comes here is either a couple of relatives or a couple of ghosts!" he exclaimed heartily. He gently squeezed your shoulders before letting go.
"Oh, your house is haunted? That's kind of cool!" you said, lying through your teeth. The prospect of ghosts is unsettling, but they didn't need to know that. You look to the boy next and stick your hand out.
"I'm Pugsley, Wednesday's little brother," he says shyly while walking up to you, not used to so many eyes being on him. He gingerly slides his hand into yours, and you smile. Hoping to make him comfortable.
"So, are you one of Wednesday's friends?" he asks and you nod, "That's good, I'm glad she's making friends" You laugh and lean down closer to him, looking like you’re telling him a secret.
"Me too, she was kinda scary when I met her. I thought she was going to gut me when I first talked to her," you whisper to him.
"Yeah, she kind of does that," he says laughing. You smile down at him, knowing you managed to make him feel less awkward. You miss Morticia's smile.
"Well, why don't you let Lurch take your bag to one of the guest rooms and let Wednesday give you a tour of the house while lunch is prepared." Morticia proposes in a soft voice. You make your way back over to Wednesday's side, comfortable with how those conversations went.
"Y/N will be staying in my room, Lurch can take her bag there." Both her parents look surprised at that. Morticia is quickly connecting the dots.
"I see, alright then. I'll inform Lurch to take her bag to your room." Morticia replied kindly.
"Lurch? Who's Lurch?" you ask.
A grunt is heard from behind you. Turning to greet the person only to be met with someone's chest. Letting out a tiny squeak of surprise and taking a quick step back to look back at the towering man. You clear your throat, hoping to get rid of the lingering embarrassment, "Hi, I'm Y/N." you stick your hand out to shake his.
He looks at Gomez and Morticia before looking down at you and gently sliding his hand into yours. His hands are calloused and big, and his grip is slightly too tight. When he lets go of your hand you look at your hand and see it start to redden. You look up at him in amazement and give him a thumbs up, "You're strong! Your hands are tough too, do you build things or something? Do you fix things around the house?"
"That's enough. I'm giving you the tour now." Wednesday said, turning around and walking off, slightly irritated to see you talk to her family more than herself.
Your head looks between Lurch, Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Wednesday's retreating form. Torn between staying and talking or following Wednesday. Unsure if you want to seem impolite to her family or have Wednesday be mad at you. You want Wednesday's family to like you, but you don’t want to upset Wednesday more than you already did.
"It's okay sweetheart," Morticia says, slightly nodding her head in Wednesday's direction, indicating you to follow her.
"Ah, yes ma'am. Thank you!" you say, words rushed as you wave and turn to rush to Wednesday's side.
"It was great! Your home is beautiful in its own little eerie way! Not to mention all the weapons you have in here, so cool Mrs. Addams!" you said excitedly, truly enjoying the house in all of its glory.
Wednesday feels a smile pull at her lips, feeling giddy about the fact you enjoy the house as much as you do. She quickly takes the spot next to you. She feels even more giddy at the look on your face when the lunch that Lurch made is brought out. You look cautious of what's in it. When a plate is handed to you, you hesitantly take it.
You patiently wait for something to happen, but everyone has started eating — well, everyone except Lurch. He's turned to walk back out of the room, you tilt your head at that. You turn to him, "Lurch, are you going to eat?" you ask loud enough for him to hear you but soft enough so it doesn't sound accusatory.
He shakes his head and you hear Gomez start laughing, "I really like this one! You did good, my little death trap."
Your face turns bright red. Wednesday's face has even turned a slight red color, making Gomez laugh harder and Pugsley let out a small laugh of his own. You're suddenly very interested in your food, trying to keep your head down for the rest of lunch, hoping to avoid embarrassing yourself further. It only works for a few minutes.
"So, Y/N, why don't you tell us about yourself. We've heard nothing about you," Morticia says sweetly.
Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Lurch watched you rush to follow Wednesday to start the tour. They all watch as you watch Wednesday point things out in the house until you turn a corner.
"Wow, I like that one. Hopefully they stay friends!" Gomez says, knowing the others agree with him. Lurch grunts in approval, and Pugsley nods in agreement.
"They're definitely not just friends," Morticia states before walking away.
"Huh??" Gomez and Pugsley said, whipping their heads to look back at Morticia. When she didn't acknowledge either of them, they turned to Lurch for confirmation.
All Lurch did was nod his head before moving to take your bag to Wednesday's room.
summary: school is officially over. it's time to say 'see you later' to Wednesday
~~~
The school year has officially come to an end. All the students at Nevermore are in various states of packing their things — some have already said their goodbyes and gone home while others are procrastinating or waiting for their families.
You had finished packing your things. It was a slow process, it seems you ended up with more things than you started with. It took you a couple of hours to decide which box to put things in. You were done though, finally able to relax and take in your surroundings. Your roommate had gone home two days ago, leaving their side of the room completely bare. Yours is much the same, only littered with a few boxes and suitcases.
A familiar vibration from your phone drew your attention. Reaching into your pocket and looking at the text from your brother, informing you he'll be there soon and to start bringing your things down. It would take a couple of trips, but it could be done quick enough.
Wednesday is currently awaiting her parent's arrival, having finished packing her belongings an hour ago. She looked across the room and saw Enid trying to cram all of her stuffed animals into a box that was easily too small. Wednesday grimaced, the atrociously colored monstrosities were starting to hurt her eyes. Deciding anywhere would be better than her dorm, she went to look for you. She thought about what you were doing and if you needed any help.
The hallways were crowded, echoing footsteps and loud chatter. Everyone seems to be in their own bubble, not paying attention to anything around them. You thought it was nice, Wednesday thought it was horrid. The hallway you needed was crowded enough for you to take a different route, unintentionally missing Wednesday.
Wednesday had knocked when she made it to your room, negative thoughts quickly filling her head when you didn't answer right away. Wednesday was not known for her patience, especially where it concerned you. Wednesday knocked one more time and called for you, only for you not to answer. You wouldn't leave without saying goodbye first, right? No, you wouldn't. At least, she hoped you wouldn't. She decided to let herself in, she'd pick the lock if she had to.
She pushed the door, not only finding it unlocked but also already partially cracked. How she had missed that before is beyond her, if anyone asked she'd blame you. When she walked in, she was immediately overcome with a familiar feeling. A feeling that she used to be fond of morphed into an uncomfortable pulling in her chest.
The more Wednesday looked around the tighter the uncomfortable feeling became. She looked to your side of the room to see nothing that resembled you. There were no hints of your personality in the room, the room stripped down to what was there before anyone moved in.
Wednesday moved to your side of the room and started looking around, hoping to find some form of evidence you were there. Maybe if you had left something behind she could return it. The first drawer she pulled contained one thing, the knife she gave you to protect yourself in case she could not. Did you leave it on purpose?
The uncomfortable feeling in her chest became almost unbearable. There was an urge to stay in the room and count her losses, but there was also an urge to go and find you. Wednesday reached down to pick up the knife, letting every possibility of why run through her mind — silently willing you to come back.
"Wednesday, what are you doing here?"
Wednesday whipped her head around at the sound of your voice, relaxing at the sight of you. She had never felt the need to hug someone before, the pull in her chest alleviated slightly, "I thought you had left."
"Nope, not yet, I am about to though. I came to grab that," you said, pointing to the knife while walking to grab it.
"You would've left without saying goodbye?" she asked, watching you meekly reach for the knife in her hand. Her chest starts to tighten again, negative thoughts filling her head again.
"No, of course not, I already said my goodbyes to a couple of my friends. You were the last one on my list, though if I didn’t you probably would've found a way to exact your revenge." you laughed, stuffing the knife in your pocket. Knowing you wouldn't leave without a proper goodbye put Wednesday at ease.
"That's correct," she nodded.
"Should I be expecting any letters this summer?" you inquired, changing the subject.
"Actually, Xavier gave me this last semester," Wednesday replied, pulling out a phone, "I don't use it much, but put your information in here."
Wednesday enjoyed the disgruntled look on your face at the confession. She hadn't told anyone, there was no need to since she doesn't use it. This however seemed like a good opportunity to bring it up. She's unsure if she could go all summer without hearing your voice.
"You want me to put my information in a device you don't know how to use?" you ask, a teasing grin stretching across your face. You decided to ignore the fact Xavier bought her a phone.
"Who said I don't know how to use it? Are you doubting my skills?" she asked sharply, her glare enough to have you cowering.
"No no, I would never," you said defensively, bringing both your hands up to show defeat. You reached for the phone and added your contact, "Though, I can assume you'll write letters if it gets too complicated?"
"Letters are preferred, but if the need arises, yes" she admitted begrudgingly.
"Perfect, I wouldn't want you becoming a stranger. Now," you lightly clapped your hands together, "I know you don't want to be a slave to technology but I'd be happy to teach you how to use it. It'd be nice to see your face more often than not"
"How would-"
"In due time, my dear Wednesday," you said, winking at her with a lovely smile sporting your face. She had to look away to hide her rapidly reddening cheeks. Taking a breath to calm herself, she cleared her throat,
"Kiss me,"
You tilted your head and raised an eyebrow, aiming to tease her. Seeing just how far you can stretch her patience, "Not asking but demanding for physical affection now? Who would've thought?"
"I won't ask again,"
"Yeah?" you whispered, leaning more into her personal space. The feeling of her breath fanning across your face sent chills down your spine, "And what're you gonna do about it?"
She continued to stare at you, not moving you out of her personal space. Her eyes scan your face, taking in every detail she could before settling on your eyes. Your gaze is soft, something Wednesday thought she'd never get tired of. Her eyes settled on your lips next, gaze lingering there longer than she'd like to admit.
You let out a shaky breath and looked down, the intensity of her stare making you nervous. Wednesday gently places her hand on your jaw, tilting your head up to look at her. Your lips parted slightly, wanting to apologize for the situation. Any thoughts in your head are silenced by her tenderly bringing your lips to hers.
The soft brushing of lips makes her hum, ever so slightly vibrating your lips. Wednesday would never tire of this, having you so close and intimately. She pulls you closer, effectively pushing out any space between you two. Instinctively putting your hands on her waist to bring her even closer, allowing the kiss to deepen.
A vibration force you to pull away. You rest your forehead against hers, taking a moment to calm down before pulling out your phone to look at the text. Wednesday lets her eyes scan your face again, admiring the flustered look you wore. The peaceful air is disturbed when you sigh, "I'm sorry, I have to go."
Wednesday unintentionally tightens her grip on you, not wanting you to pull away. You look at her through your lashes and quietly sigh, not exactly wanting to move either. You pull away slightly to plant a kiss on the top of her head.
"I'll miss you," you stated gently, pulling her closer to wrap your arms around her, inadvertently making Wednesday fluster.
"I would miss me too," she replied, trying to direct your attention away from her red cheeks and arms coming to wrap around you. You laughed at her comment. Wednesday could feel the vibrations of your laughter more than hear it. Both of you, are strangely content with staying like this. Amid your laughing, she whispered, "I'll miss you too, mi amor"
You smiled at her gently, not expecting her to say it back. Not wanting your time to end so soon you ask, "Walk with me?"
"Of course," unbeknownst to you, Wednesday is already planning the first get-together, text, and letter in her head.

"Of course," unbeknownst to you, Wednesday is already planning the first get-together, text, and letter in her head.

summary: school is officially over. it's time to say 'see you later' to Wednesday
~~~
The school year has officially come to an end. All the students at Nevermore are in various states of packing their things — some have already said their goodbyes and gone home while others are procrastinating or waiting for their families.
You had finished packing your things. It was a slow process, it seems you ended up with more things than you started with. It took you a couple of hours to decide which box to put things in. You were done though, finally able to relax and take in your surroundings. Your roommate had gone home two days ago, leaving their side of the room completely bare. Yours is much the same, only littered with a few boxes and suitcases.
A familiar vibration from your phone drew your attention. Reaching into your pocket and looking at the text from your brother, informing you he'll be there soon and to start bringing your things down. It would take a couple of trips, but it could be done quick enough.
Wednesday is currently awaiting her parent's arrival, having finished packing her belongings an hour ago. She looked across the room and saw Enid trying to cram all of her stuffed animals into a box that was easily too small. Wednesday grimaced, the atrociously colored monstrosities were starting to hurt her eyes. Deciding anywhere would be better than her dorm, she went to look for you. She thought about what you were doing and if you needed any help.
The hallways were crowded, echoing footsteps and loud chatter. Everyone seems to be in their own bubble, not paying attention to anything around them. You thought it was nice, Wednesday thought it was horrid. The hallway you needed was crowded enough for you to take a different route, unintentionally missing Wednesday.
Wednesday had knocked when she made it to your room, negative thoughts quickly filling her head when you didn't answer right away. Wednesday was not known for her patience, especially where it concerned you. Wednesday knocked one more time and called for you, only for you not to answer. You wouldn't leave without saying goodbye first, right? No, you wouldn't. At least, she hoped you wouldn't. She decided to let herself in, she'd pick the lock if she had to.
She pushed the door, not only finding it unlocked but also already partially cracked. How she had missed that before is beyond her, if anyone asked she'd blame you. When she walked in, she was immediately overcome with a familiar feeling. A feeling that she used to be fond of morphed into an uncomfortable pulling in her chest.
The more Wednesday looked around the tighter the uncomfortable feeling became. She looked to your side of the room to see nothing that resembled you. There were no hints of your personality in the room, the room stripped down to what was there before anyone moved in.
Wednesday moved to your side of the room and started looking around, hoping to find some form of evidence you were there. Maybe if you had left something behind she could return it. The first drawer she pulled contained one thing, the knife she gave you to protect yourself in case she could not. Did you leave it on purpose?
The uncomfortable feeling in her chest became almost unbearable. There was an urge to stay in the room and count her losses, but there was also an urge to go and find you. Wednesday reached down to pick up the knife, letting every possibility of why run through her mind — silently willing you to come back.
"Wednesday, what are you doing here?"
Wednesday whipped her head around at the sound of your voice, relaxing at the sight of you. She had never felt the need to hug someone before, the pull in her chest alleviated slightly, "I thought you had left."
"Nope, not yet, I am about to though. I came to grab that," you said, pointing to the knife while walking to grab it.
"You would've left without saying goodbye?" she asked, watching you meekly reach for the knife in her hand. Her chest starts to tighten again, negative thoughts filling her head again.
"No, of course not, I already said my goodbyes to a couple of my friends. You were the last one on my list, though if I didn’t you probably would've found a way to exact your revenge." you laughed, stuffing the knife in your pocket. Knowing you wouldn't leave without a proper goodbye put Wednesday at ease.
"That's correct," she nodded.
"Should I be expecting any letters this summer?" you inquired, changing the subject.
"Actually, Xavier gave me this last semester," Wednesday replied, pulling out a phone, "I don't use it much, but put your information in here."
Marks pt 2
a/n: 43 assignments, 3 exams, and 2 lab reports later she lives. barely lol. Grammarly called it mid, it's a chonker lowkey. here's this one pals.
~~~
Wednesday had not been able to initiate any kisses for 9 days, 18 hours, and 36 minutes — not that she was counting. At first, watching you cringe at any look was amusing. Unfortunately, the marks she gave you were starting to fade. Wednesday craved to give you more, but you stuck to your word.
You had tried so hard to hide to hickeys on your neck. At first, you pulled the hood over your head, making it near impossible to see your face. Watching you cower behind the hood of the jacket she let you borrow was comical. The sight made a smirk pull at her lips.
It took more effort to keep a neutral face when a teacher told you to take the hood off. Your classmates took notice immediately, forcing your efforts to be in vain. Some sent you looks of concern and others wore a knowing look. However, no one was brave enough to say anything.
For once, Wednesday wondered what it looked like from everyone else's perspective. To have their object of affection be so obviously claimed by someone else. She briefly wondered if it inflamed jealousy in her classmates, but that thought quickly morphed into pride. You are hers.
Any amusement she felt was washed away when you moved your hand away from hers under the table. She immediately sent you a look mixed with concern and confusion. You answered with a raised eyebrow and gesture towards your neck. Her features instantly fell. She didn't think you'd actually follow through with the punishment.
You shook your head and tried to focus on class. The disappointment Wednesday was feeling was palpable — at least it was for you. You could see her out of the corner of your eye. She kept a hand under the table as she went turned her attention back to her notes.
You huffed quietly, annoyed by how guilty she was making you feel. You eyed the hand in her lap, sitting there tauntingly. You could feel your resolve crack the longer you looked at it. You gingerly reached out to grasp it. Noticing how Wednesday was snapped out of her foul mood.
You decided then that having no contact was practically impossible. Wednesday sought contact almost as much as you did. You weren't entirely sure you could go without any contact from Wednesday for long. When she brushed her thumb over your knuckles you're resolved broke.
You realized shortly after that not kissing Wednesday was also an impossible task. Not only were her lips captivating in every way imaginable, but having the sweet aftertaste of her was something you desperately craved every moment of the day. Your resolve broke once again. You fleetingly thought about withdrawing the punishment altogether but decided against it. Settling for not letting her initiate any kisses for the time being.
However, Wednesday wasn't satisfied; even when she knew your resolve broke. She itched to have her lips on yours of her own volition — to leave more of her marks on your skin. The only way she could get what she wanted was through retaliation.
Her retaliation was something she'd normally be ashamed of. She wanted to break your resolve entirely. She wanted you to be the one to end the punishment early so her dignity came out intact. You didn't need to know about her internal torment. Not when this whole situation was your fault.
Wednesday started to take her frustrations out in the kisses you shared — kissing you ardently. She had no reservations in holding back, letting her hands wander in place of her lips. Purposefully leaving your clothes rumpled, your chest heaving, and your lips swollen.
Wednesday had watched your resolve crack each time she kissed you. Unfortunately, her own resolve was cracking with each kiss. She needed you to extract the punishment. Her invitation to review notes was a cover. She was going to get you to drop the retribution before anything else.
Wednesday had a plan in place, and multiple backup plans were included. She went through her routine of tidying the room before your arrival, going through every possible scenario as she waited. She was so preoccupied she didn’t hear the knock on the door. Only taking notice when Enid opened the door.
"Hey! I didn’t know you were coming, what's up?" Enid inquired, opening the door wider for you to step inside.
"Wednesday invited me over to go over some of the notes from this week. Are you studying with us too?" you asked in return. Unintentionally inviting Enid to stay.
You busied yourself with taking out the necessary materials, not noticing the glare and shake of Wednesday's head. Enid gulps before going to her side of the room to grab her school bag.
"Nah, I think I'm gonna head out. I told Yoko I would gossip with her tonight anyway," Enid said, lying through her teeth.
"Oh okay. Have fun and stay safe," you replied cordially, finally looking up at the two.
"Sure! Text me if you want me to bring anything back," Enid easily responded. Bouncing over to give you a hug, ignoring the deadly look Wednesday sent her. "I'll be back later! Try not to hurt your brain too much, love you!"
You sent a friendly wave towards the already shut door, hoping she didn’t feel obligated to leave. You turn to look at Wednesday, who already rid her face of any murderous traces. She looked you over, noticing how you are wearing a hoodie — something that will get in her way later.
She silently takes calculated steps in your direction, cautious not to step on your things. When she reaches her desired distance, she reaches for your hand. "I've missed you," she whispered.
She watched your breath hitch and your eyes scan her face. Your lips parted and quivered with unspoken words. She let you take a moment to gather yourself, knowing your response will guide her plan.
"I've missed you too," you replied breathlessly.
Wednesday knew you were so close to breaking your resolve. She was also aware she was just as close to breaking her resolve too. Your warmth was tantalizing. Your eyes swirled with nothing but love, it was affecting her train of thought. Her brain was slowly starting to become single-minded. Her thoughts want to think of nothing but you.
She knew what would have to happen for your resolve to break, to fall into a million pieces. It was the same intimate act that would collapse her own. She knew she stood there for too long and needed to move on to her first backup plan.
Wednesday cleared her throat and took a step back, keeping your hands connected. "Let's go ahead and-"
"Can I kiss you?" you asked quietly, cutting her off. She hadn't expected that, but she could make it work. It had nothing to do with the fact she wanted to kiss you. More than anything.
Instead of verbally answering, she pulled you in by your hand. Putting her free hand on the back of your head to pull you to her. She stopped when you were only a hair's breadth away.
Your eyes were closed, your cheeks were red, and you just looked completely at her mercy. It was utterly satisfying, knowing she had all the power in this situation. Knowing she had won. With that, she closed the distance and gently brushed her lips against yours.
You put your hands on her waist, pulling her as close as possible. Her, now, freed hand moved to your neck, gently tracing the almost faded marks she memorized. A shiver ran wracked your body, causing Wednesday to smile into the kiss.
She had always thoroughly enjoyed how responsive you were. Even if the responses were small or insignificant.
Once again, Wednesday let her emotions poor into the kiss. Easily forcing it to become heavy. This time, you equally responded to her. You reciprocated all of her actions in your own way.
When you pulled away, your breaths were heavy, mingling in the short distance between your lips. You press your forehead on hers, trying to catch your breath.
Wednesday slowly and gently guided you to her bed. Sitting you down before settling over your lap, legs on either side of your own. Naturally, you put your hands on her waist to steady her. Her eyes swam with adoration and desire.
You can't help but lean up to connect your lips once more. You let yourself get lost in the feeling of her lips and her taste. Your fingers graze the skin of her stomach, hesitant on moving upwards.
She moved one hand to one of yours, softly moving it toward the expanse of her skin. Your hands are cold against her torso, feeling goosebumps rise on her skin. She nips at your bottom lip at the feeling, making you release a quiet groan. Eager to hear that sound again, she tilts her head to bite your lip more forcefully.
The feeling have you tightening your grip on her waist, pulling her flush against you. Disconnecting your lips to trail them to her jaw, she tilts her head to give you more space. Leaving open mouth kisses in your wake, slowly working your way up to leaving your own marks.
You trail your hands higher, gently playing with the fabric of her bra. You use her soft sounds and reactions to guide you, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. You lightly move your hands under her bra and graze the underside of her breasts as you bite down on her neck. You gently run your tongue over the rapidly reddening spot to soothe it.
Wednesday's breathing is loud and uneven. Breathless moans leave her lips every time your teeth graze her neck. She pushes herself against you and grinds down on your lap. You pull away, the absence of your warmth pains her.
"Wednesday, take it off," you breathlessly pant before returning to her neck.
She understands straight away and rushes to remove the jacket she's wearing. She carelessly tosses it somewhere behind her, moving to get your jacket off next. It proves more difficult, as you refuse to detach yourself from her.
When maneuvers it off she forces her lips onto yours. Teeth accidentally clacking against each other. Your hands move back under her shirt, moving to rub the skin of her back. You drag your lips to her neck, once again leaving trails of color. You find the juncture between her neck and shoulder and bite down just as you drag your nails down her back. Her breath hitches and then she lets out a long quiet moan.
 She pushes you onto your back, forcing you to bring your hands from under her shirt. You lean on your elbows and try to catch your breath as she looks at you. You can see the hickeys you left and feel proud.
"My turn," she stated.
Just as your lips met you both hear the loud sound of keys outside the door. The sound of the key sliding in and out of the lock snapped you and Wednesday into action. You both rush to put your jackets back on, hoping it wasn’t obvious.
The loud thud outside the door startles you both, "Oh no! I dropped my book!" Enid exclaims, voice muffled by the door.
The absurdity of her action makes you laugh. Wednesday can't help but smile at how lovely your laugh sounds. Though that smile is replaced with a glare when Enid walks through the door.
Enid scans the room, immediately noticing the marks on Wednesday's neck, and smirks. You finally got your revenge, Enid notes. The blonde notices you laughing with tears collecting in your eyes and asks, "Why are you laughing?"
"You’re hilarious Enid, thank you," you reply between giggles.
"Well thank you, ma'am," Enid says bowing.
You feel the threatening aura Wednesday is emitting. Clearly upset you two were interrupted, again. You turn to look at her, "Wednesday, let's go to my room. My roommate said they won't be coming home tonight."
It's silent for a moment, "Fine,"
You stand in the middle of the room, hoping to stop Wednesday from attacking Enid. You gather your stuff quickly before bidding goodnight to Enid as you and Wednesday walk out the door.
"I almost killed her," Wednesday says.
"I know," you answer.
---
Wednesday shakes you awake in the morning. You blink owlishly at her, "Are you alright?" you ask hurridly.
"This," she gestures to her neck, "This isn't funny."
You blink a couple of times, "I don't know what you're referring to, Wednesday. I'm going back to sleep."
"Help me hide them," she demands
"You reap what you sow, Wednesday"

Marks pt 2
a/n: 43 assignments, 3 exams, and 2 lab reports later she lives. barely lol. Grammarly called it mid, it's a chonker lowkey. here's this one pals.
Pairing: Wednesday Addams x reader
words: 2.3k
part one
~~~
Wednesday had not been able to initiate any kisses for 9 days, 18 hours, and 36 minutes — not that she was counting. At first, watching you cringe at any look was amusing. Unfortunately, the marks she gave you were starting to fade. Wednesday craved to give you more, but you stuck to your word.
You had tried so hard to hide to hickeys on your neck. At first, you pulled the hood over your head, making it near impossible to see your face. Watching you cower behind the hood of the jacket she let you borrow was comical. The sight made a smirk pull at her lips.
It took more effort to keep a neutral face when a teacher told you to take the hood off. Your classmates took notice immediately, forcing your efforts to be in vain. Some sent you looks of concern and others wore a knowing look. However, no one was brave enough to say anything.
For once, Wednesday wondered what it looked like from everyone else's perspective. To have their object of affection be so obviously claimed by someone else. She briefly wondered if it inflamed jealousy in her classmates, but that thought quickly morphed into pride. You are hers.
Any amusement she felt was washed away when you moved your hand away from hers under the table. She immediately sent you a look mixed with concern and confusion. You answered with a raised eyebrow and gesture towards your neck. Her features instantly fell. She didn't think you'd actually follow through with the punishment.
You shook your head and tried to focus on class. The disappointment Wednesday was feeling was palpable — at least it was for you. You could see her out of the corner of your eye. She kept a hand under the table as she went turned her attention back to her notes.
You huffed quietly, annoyed by how guilty she was making you feel. You eyed the hand in her lap, sitting there tauntingly. You could feel your resolve crack the longer you looked at it. You gingerly reached out to grasp it. Noticing how Wednesday was snapped out of her foul mood.
You decided then that having no contact was practically impossible. Wednesday sought contact almost as much as you did. You weren't entirely sure you could go without any contact from Wednesday for long. When she brushed her thumb over your knuckles you're resolved broke.
You realized shortly after that not kissing Wednesday was also an impossible task. Not only were her lips captivating in every way imaginable, but having the sweet aftertaste of her was something you desperately craved every moment of the day. Your resolve broke once again. You fleetingly thought about withdrawing the punishment altogether but decided against it. Settling for not letting her initiate any kisses for the time being.
However, Wednesday wasn't satisfied; even when she knew your resolve broke. She itched to have her lips on yours of her own volition — to leave more of her marks on your skin. The only way she could get what she wanted was through retaliation.
Her retaliation was something she'd normally be ashamed of. She wanted to break your resolve entirely. She wanted you to be the one to end the punishment early so her dignity came out intact. You didn't need to know about her internal torment. Not when this whole situation was your fault.
Wednesday started to take her frustrations out in the kisses you shared — kissing you ardently. She had no reservations in holding back, letting her hands wander in place of her lips. Purposefully leaving your clothes rumpled, your chest heaving, and your lips swollen.
Wednesday had watched your resolve crack each time she kissed you. Unfortunately, her own resolve was cracking with each kiss. She needed you to extract the punishment. Her invitation to review notes was a cover. She was going to get you to drop the retribution before anything else.
Wednesday had a plan in place, and multiple backup plans were included. She went through her routine of tidying the room before your arrival, going through every possible scenario as she waited. She was so preoccupied she didn’t hear the knock on the door. Only taking notice when Enid opened the door.
"Hey! I didn’t know you were coming, what's up?" Enid inquired, opening the door wider for you to step inside.
"Wednesday invited me over to go over some of the notes from this week. Are you studying with us too?" you asked in return. Unintentionally inviting Enid to stay.
You busied yourself with taking out the necessary materials, not noticing the glare and shake of Wednesday's head. Enid gulps before going to her side of the room to grab her school bag.
"Nah, I think I'm gonna head out. I told Yoko I would gossip with her tonight anyway," Enid said, lying through her teeth.
"Oh okay. Have fun and stay safe," you replied cordially, finally looking up at the two.
"Sure! Text me if you want me to bring anything back," Enid easily responded. Bouncing over to give you a hug, ignoring the deadly look Wednesday sent her. "I'll be back later! Try not to hurt your brain too much, love you!"
You sent a friendly wave towards the already shut door, hoping she didn’t feel obligated to leave. You turn to look at Wednesday, who already rid her face of any murderous traces. She looked you over, noticing how you are wearing a hoodie — something that will get in her way later.
She silently takes calculated steps in your direction, cautious not to step on your things. When she reaches her desired distance, she reaches for your hand. "I've missed you," she whispered.
She watched your breath hitch and your eyes scan her face. Your lips parted and quivered with unspoken words. She let you take a moment to gather yourself, knowing your response will guide her plan.
"I've missed you too," you replied breathlessly.
Wednesday knew you were so close to breaking your resolve. She was also aware she was just as close to breaking her resolve too. Your warmth was tantalizing. Your eyes swirled with nothing but love, it was affecting her train of thought. Her brain was slowly starting to become single-minded. Her thoughts want to think of nothing but you.
She knew what would have to happen for your resolve to break, to fall into a million pieces. It was the same intimate act that would collapse her own. She knew she stood there for too long and needed to move on to her first backup plan.
Wednesday cleared her throat and took a step back, keeping your hands connected. "Let's go ahead and-"
"Can I kiss you?" you asked quietly, cutting her off. She hadn't expected that, but she could make it work. It had nothing to do with the fact she wanted to kiss you. More than anything.
Instead of verbally answering, she pulled you in by your hand. Putting her free hand on the back of your head to pull you to her. She stopped when you were only a hair's breadth away.
Your eyes were closed, your cheeks were red, and you just looked completely at her mercy. It was utterly satisfying, knowing she had all the power in this situation. Knowing she had won. With that, she closed the distance and gently brushed her lips against yours.
You put your hands on her waist, pulling her as close as possible. Her, now, freed hand moved to your neck, gently tracing the almost faded marks she memorized. A shiver ran wracked your body, causing Wednesday to smile into the kiss.
She had always thoroughly enjoyed how responsive you were. Even if the responses were small or insignificant.
Once again, Wednesday let her emotions poor into the kiss. Easily forcing it to become heavy. This time, you equally responded to her. You reciprocated all of her actions in your own way.
