Old Friend

After Sirius’s death, Remus tries to keep his head down. He tries to stay busy. But one day he has free time and walks into an American style diner they used to go to together. Everything is the same. The table, the waitress, the stack of pancakes Remus orders. But for a second, just a second, Remus can see Sirius, laughing and smiling, sitting across from him. He knows it’s not real. But god he wishes. He goes home to young harry and tries to stay strong. But Harry asks him “what’s wrong, Papa?” And Remus breaks down. Blue Diner used to be their place. But now it’s just his.

You know what I just realized (somehow) ? If the marauders really did dorm all together, there would’ve been another guy in the dorm. I mean like Hogwarts dorms are five to a dorm right? In my head it has to be either the most tolerant man ever or the four marauders annoyed the hell out of him and it became exclusively their room. But that holds so much comedy potential honestly. Like once a month when the four boys go out for a full moon they come back and their roommate is just standing there, hands on his hips like “why the fuck are you sneaking in at like 5 am all together?” . Or when James is telling his friends about lily he’s just like listening in and giving comentary like “you mean Evans? She’s way out of your league.” Another thing I picture is him just being so done with Sirius and Remus not dating. Like “dude he legit said he’d marry you, what are you doing?” Or when they finally get together “can you stop being in love for five seconds and listen? Your cat has tried to eat my shoes again!” Anyways, I just think we need more cannon marauders stuff but I will not be supporting JKR so I just use Tumblr and Ao3

Palasaki au where Niko is a professional figure skater and Crystal is a professional hurdler. Niko doesn’t really run but one day she’s training and runs into Crystal. They become running buddies, then Niko teaches Crystal how to skate. Despite her hard shell, Crystal warms up to Niko very quickly. Crystal is a lot better than Niko expected, at everything. Also Niko makes her own clothing, Niko and Monty are classmates and Charles plays tennis.

He’s friends are nice to you. They like you. Then one night, you meet up with the boy. You think he’s confessing to you. So you kiss him. But he’s in love with someone else. The next day, you’re given a new task. Lure the group into the woods. You accept it, thinking of revenge. But your human nature makes you realize you need to stop. Your plan gets exposed by a pesky man in a skirt who kisses you. Then you are found out and brutally turned back into a crow. A couple days later, your friends are back. They’re struggling. You watch them suffer. You help as much as you can but it’s not enough. People get hurt. Your witch dies, thankfully. But now You’re all alone, just a crow against the world.

Possibly a hot take but I do actually believe Charles could outrun Edwin. Sure, Edwin has gained speed in his 70 years in hell. But I genuinely think Charles is a better runner. Why? Edwin’s only ever run as part of his fight or flight system. Bullies. Hell. Cases. But Charles, Charles is used to sports. He was friends with the popular boys. They all played sports. Rugby. Cricket. Football (soccer). So he learned to run as a runner would. Meaning, If Edwin wasn’t in a fight or flight (and maybe if he was) Charles would easily outrun him. But he doesn’t. Why? Because Charles is a protector. He protects the people he loves at all costs. So when he’s running with other people, he always runs behind, slower. Because if he can’t stop it, what good is he? What does he contribute? Charles feels worthless otherwise. Idk just a thought.

aroace Cameron

I’m back on my cam defender stuff so….

Cameron is 100% aroace. There is very obvious evidence for this in my mind. All the other boys seem to have a love interest. So he’s surrounded by romance. And still, he is never shown having any chemistry with anyone. He is a pretty closed off person which often means someone is hiding something. Aroace guilt is very real, meaning Cam has probably never told anyone he has never been in a relationship or had a crush. Another thing about being aroace is a feeling of needing to be someone else. You feel like you don’t fit in with others cause you’ve never liked anyone so you overcompensate. We see cam doing this all throughout the movie. With his friends, his teachers, academically. If he can’t be good for romance, maybe he can be good for his friends. If he can’t be good for either, all he has is school. So when he tells Nolan, all that guilt and shame has built up to that moment.

also, completely off topic, most of the people in this movie are teenagers. They all act dumb at some point. They all make mistakes. I’m tired of everyone just trashing on Cam. All the other poets have made mistakes too. And guess what, his mistake made sense for his character. If you keep pressuring yourself, you’re going to crack.

The thing I like so much about DBD is probably that all the characters just go along with whatever’s happening. Like, oh I just escaped from hell and there’s some random guy dying of hypothermia and internal bleeding? I’m not going to let him out of my sight and potentially go back to hell for someone I just met. oh I just died and some random person from hell is taking care of me? Yeah I’m just going to sacrifice a potentially amazing afterlife for him! Oh this strange teenager expelled the demon from my body and now wants to take me home to become part of their detective agency? Sure I’ll just go to a different country with them to help a girl I don’t know and fight a witch on my first day. Oh this random girl claims to be talking to ghosts who can expel the thing trying to kill me from my body? Yeah I’m going to trust her and then run after them during a case despite the fact I could die at any moment, who do you think I am? Oh these two dead boys, some sprites and a psychic are using my room for rent? I’m going to sacrifice my life for that psychic even though I met her a week ago and she’s insane. Oh I’m suddenly a human and have been tasked to kill these people? Nope, that’s my boyfriend right there I’m going to talk to him about astrology. Like there’s no way they actually are completely just chill with it but it’s so funny to see

Charles

We all know that Edwin’s goals with cases are being able to plead for leniency and helping people. But what are Charles’s goals? I believe there’s a couple, the main one being trying to be better. All his life, he felt like he’d never amount to anything but the cost of his organs. His father made sure to remind him that he didn’t matter. In the scene we see where Charles’s father beats him, Charles keeps on repeating “I’ll make it better.” Which the Night Nurse points out that he didn’t make it better. We don’t know what it is so I can only imagine. But at Saint Hillarions, he hangs out with the wrong group of people. From the little we see of them, they are violent just like Charles’s dad, a reminder of his family. So he stood up to them while they beat up the Pakistani boy. And that caused Charles’s death. As we know, he died with Edwin watching over him. Soon after that, he decided not to go to his afterlife. Why? Because he realized he could make it better. He could be better. When he started working in cases it started to feel real. He felt better. He made it better.

When he was alive, he’d pray and pray that his thoughts about liking boys would go away. So when he went to hell, he felt like deserved it. But upon meeting Charles, he realized that his feelings couldn’t be all bad. He hides his feelings a lot just because he had 73 years of hiding them

He is a protector. He doesn’t care who he needs to protect but if someone on his side is in danger, he will fight. We see this throughout the series. He’d do anything for the people he loves.

Ok so I should probably explain why I think she’s a lesbian. Ok first, her first meeting with Crystal. I know it wasn’t pink for love but yknow it’s something. Second, her room is really pink. She isn’t afraid of what others think and that’s a trait a lot of gay people have to learn. She is completely supportive of the community. Her gay manga. Her friendship with Edwin is so wlw mlm solidarity.

Photography Meeks

Steven’s joy was always photography. He would save photo after photo as a kid and put them all in a scrapbook. His parents supported him unlike many Welton parents. What started as a hobby grew and grew. Then in 8th grade, he started going to Welton. Upper classmen bullied Meeks for no other reason than to have fun. He started using photography as an outlet. When he’d have a bad day he’d take photo after photo. Then there was a year he roomed with Charlie. Soon, Charlie became the subject of most of his pictures. Charlie Charlie Charlie. In junior year (when DPS happens) Steven starts showing off his work. But then on the 15th of December, tragedy strikes. He swears to never touch his camera again. After junior year, he had to use photography to cope again. His friend group no longer exists and that’s the only thing that can get him accepted to the college he wants to go to. But instead of enjoying his college life after getting accepted to Harvard, he gets drafted for the Vietnam war. but surprise surprise he fails army training and instead becomes a military photographer. After his career is military photography ends, he goes back to school. Gets his degree in photography. But the spark is gone. The war changed him.

art kid Todd is killing me. Imagine this: Neil, the main role. Todd, one of the only people willing to paint sets. It’s a rehearsal day and both Chris and Todd are painting. Neil walks in and checks in with the set chief. Without noticing, Todd has put his paintbrush in between his teeth. Then Neil leaves and Chris finally notices. “Ooh, looks like someone has a crush.” She teases Todd . “I do not!” Todd protests. “Oh yeah? Cause you got a little something in your teeth.” Chris says. “What?” Todd asks and then tries in vain to find it. Then he realizes. It’s his paint brush. With the brush side in his mouth. “Ugh, you’re the worst.” Todd complains. “Not as bad as you.” Chris says and makes a heart with her fingers. Oh god. I can’t. Art Todd has my heart.
