Map of North America in a Fantasy Style
Last year I started making imitation fantasy style maps, inspired by classic examples such as The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. You can see my earlier blog post about inspirations over here. It turns out making these is pretty fun and somewhat therapeutic, so I kept on making them in the same style.
Since then I’ve finished a few more maps, including New England, Europe and the United Kingdom and Ireland. Most recently I finished up a version of the North American continent and figured this would be a good time to go through the making of guide again.
Tumblr has been awesome in the support for these maps so I’m just going to keep posting them until you all get tired of them!
Read the full making off guide here (via Medium)
Downloads
As in all my previous maps, the full version is free to download from my Google Drive account. I’ve also included a version with no labels, for those who prefer a blank look or want to use it for their tabletop or D&D games!

Prints?
A few people have asked about buying prints online. There’s no need to do this as you can download a copy via the link above and print it out yourself or using your favourite printing service.
If you however want a slightly more convenient option, you can buy a print via my Redbubble store online (with the added bonus of directly supporting me!)

I want Terry Crews and Vin Diesel to do a buddy cop movie where they are both secret nerds but they don’t want the other to know. Like Vin Diesel plays D & D on weekends and Terry likes to create epic crossover fan art. Somehow they have to work undercover at Comic Con and for what ever reason I need Daniel Radcliffe to be the villain.

My meditation today on the fourth glorious mystery started with the Assumption of Mary and ended with the public outcry over Pluto being demoted as a planet.
I can’t even blame this on the generic DayQuil.
The winding road between the two points went something like, “If an institution that has authority in such matters affirms that something is true, then it’s true whether I agree or not, sort of like how if the astronomers union says Pluto isn’t a major planet, then it isn’t a major planet no matter how much I whine on the Internet that it is.”

“Bill and Ted’s Excellent Christmas Adventure”
I want a Santa movie where he’s actually Saint Nicholaos of Myra. Three kids run away from home and find a portal to the Council Of Nicaea in 325 AD. Then the kids watch him debate the promulgation of canon law. In the end they return home and tell their parents that presents aren’t important so long as Pentecost is counted 50 days after Easter on the Roman solar calendar and not the Jewish lunar calendar.

I could destroy an entire bag of stroopwafels right now with only one regret. That regret being that then I would be out of stroopwafels.
Am settling for German gingerbread for now.
