Home Visits // As part of the GGRF Athletic Scholarship Program, our staff visits the homes of Scholars and their families each year. We discuss the program and what to expect in the coming year with GGRF. We also go over any unique challenges and opportunities the family may face and how we can work together to make the most of the program. Most importantly, we break bread, have coffee, and celebrate future possibilities. 💫 (at Bek'Oji, Arsi, Ethiopia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8_9PklHJUT/?igshid=upjk0v8posv1

Educating women saves lives. The @worldbank found that universal secondary education for girls could virtually eliminate child marriage and as a result substantially reduce the risk of early childbearing and maternal mortality for women. ONE extra year of girls’ education can reduce infant mortality by 5-10%. One year can make all the difference. Learn more about the lasting impact you can have in the lives of the girls and women in just one year with GGRF. Lacing up for track practice. The humble dirt track in Bekoji has proven to be fertile ground for Olympic hopefuls. Athletes from Bekoji have won 16 Olympic medals over the past 20 years. To put this in context, this small town of 30,000 people has won more gold medals than India has won in all Summer Olympic events combined. Planting seeds for future success. 🌱 (at Bek'Oji, Arsi, Ethiopia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8zDMlpH_tk/?igshid=1h7hxoi547ubh
