100 positive things I did/happened to me this year!
These are in no particular order! I just wanted to share some happy things from this year since people seem to feel it hasn’t been that great of a year.
I got my drivers license.
I went to GUNA and presided over a committee.
I was selected to page for Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.
I got to be an extra on one of Reba’s pilots.
I was named recruiting coordinator for the band.
I finished my sophomore year.
I was selected as a 4H Healthy Living Ambassador.
I went to summer camp at Rock Eagle.
I rekindled a friendship at said camp.
I took econ for 2 weeks and passed with a high B.
I got to watch some of my good friends be elected on to 4H State Board.
I was offered the position of President Pro Tem for GYA.
I went on the Washington Seminar trip with State YMCA of Georgia.
I made new friends during the said seminar.
I took a monuments tour of Washinton, DC.
I chased a tornado at Rock Eagle.
I attended IMPACT Training Weekend.
I met 15 of my best friends at IMPACT.
I went to the Firefly Festival with Rylee.
I was accepted into Clovers and Co. for the second year in a row.
I was elected president of my county 4H.
I worked concessions at a UGA football game.
I started junior year.
I went to SRTLC in Crossville, TN.
I rode to Tennessee with Emma and slept on the floor of the bus.
I met the best people in the state of Georgia at SRTLC.
I became best friends with Garry, Mason, John Henry, Andy, Olivia, Dawson, Lele, Evie, and Emma during/after SRTLC.
I played in a ball pit meant for small children with my friends.
I sang karaoke with strangers.
I got “engaged” to one of my best friends.
I did a service project where I got to buy a bag of necessities for a kid.
I got to be on the field when our band won first place in class 4A.
I went to homecoming.
I got to hold a sword in my homecoming pictures.
I went to WICC in Athens, GA.
I went to a Chicago concert.
I got a job at my church as a nursery worker.
I was selected as a GHP nominee.
I got my face painted by a grumpy clown.
I helped my CBCJ team get second place.
I went with my CBCJ team to state.
I taught my nephew how to make slime.
I presided in the GA Senate chambers.
I spent the night in a dorm at Georgia Southern University.
I played with the Southern Pride Band on Band Day.
I became friends with Kimberly and Arham.
I caught (and released) a tiny salamander.
I participated in IB Secret Santa.
I went to Fall Forum.
I went to a GYA officer’s reunion in Athens, GA.
I started babysitting triplets.
I went to our band’s Christmas concert.
I passed all of my midterms.
I started working at Chick-fil-A.
I watched Georgia become SEC Champions!
I marched in the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade.
I was shown marching in the parade.
I was asked to serve as a special guest for Keeping Georgia WILD Day at the State Capital.
I was given access to the planning committee for Keeping Georgia WILD Day.
I participated in a Secret Santa with my friends from SRTLC.
I learned how to create coloring books.
I attended my first college information meeting in Atlanta for Georgia Southern University.
I made Sleeping Bag Gang with Garry and Will C.
I got my class ring.
I let go of toxic friends.
I got a new fish named Megalodon.
I became close with some of my classmates that I have known for a long time but haven’t been close with.
I fixed broken friendships.
I swapped bedrooms with my sister.
I finished redoing my bedroom.
I let my hair grow out.
I also cut my hair short.
I learned how to take care of my curls.
I learned about the usefulness of scrunchies.
I went to Savannah, GA for a girls trip with my mom and sister.
I helped run Teen Maze.
I started Dairy Quiz Bowl.
I joined the IB program.
I went to a Airmen of Note concert in Washington, DC.
I watched the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
I grew closer with my little sister.
I became involved in my older brother and nephew’s lives.
I saw the solar eclipse.
I met fake Elvis Presley.
I went to a Pastafarian luncheon.
I participated in Talk Like A Pirate Day.
I ate seaweed wrapped rice crackers soaked in soy sauce.
I tried Crystal Pepsi.
I started Pen Palling.
I walked through a swamp.
I spent 3 nights at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
I led the State YMCA of Georgia GYA delegation in the YMCA.
I took 22 polaroids.
I turned 16.
I taught my dad how to use Snapchat filters.
I rewatched Grey’s Anatomy 4 times.
I fell in love with Vincent van Gogh.
I learned how to appreciate the power of the sun and stars.
I had a happy year.
I survived to see another year!
