How are y'all still talking about this? Been doing this for 11 years and y'all are still mad about nuva boobs? It's a toy. It's not real. Move on.
Sexualized female bionicles
I personally don’t like the Overly Sexualized FeMOC, for the very same reasons in addition to others. Our art reflects our thoughts, our feelings. So if a FeMOC is hyper-sexualized, it is a representation of the artist secretly objectifying women, be it intentional or unintentional.
The calm, cool, and collected Toa Hunga of Ice. Making use of his dual ice climbing axes, he descends from icy mountain tops to guard the city of Ko-Rouka from any and all evils. He always learning, trying to be better than the day before. He aims to live up to the legacy of another Toa of Ice, one from a world far away, who shares his name, and gave his life to save a universe.
Is everyone in the Bionicle fandom roughly 19? Because I think there’s at least three people I follow because of Bionicle that are 19 as well. Can anyone confirm?
Armed with both brains and brawn, Xeyfr is the kind-hearted, hammer toting Toa of Stone of the city of Aura Nui. He is the muscle of his team, as well as the weapons technician and specialist. He is armed with a large hammer and a Kakama. Most of his opponents don’t know what hit them.
P.S. Sorry for the editing, he shouldn’t be glowing...but he is so here we are.
The high-flying, fun-loving captain of the Le-Koronan Gukko Force. As a Toa of Air, he protects the people of Le-Rouka using the axe of a former mentor and his jovial rhetoric.
Another Knight of the totalitarian government, Catavha, and the twin of Ahkuva. Unlike his brother, Tahlma is calm and calculated. However, they share the same lack of morality. Tahlma modeled himself after Takanuva to make himself look like a hero, but couldn’t be further from one. He kills with precision, with out leaving more than a scratch, but leaves them just as dead. They never see him coming.
A knight loyal to a totalitarian government, with a dark heart and a lack of self control. With his shadow powers and broadsword, Ahkuva tears through villages with ease, sparing no survivors. His brutality makes him one of his superiors’ greatest weapons, but also makes him their weakest link.
Mistika is of the mist and Phantoka meant of the sky I believe. The Toa Nuva were still called the Toa Nuva because they didn't transform, so much as the armor they were wearing adapted. The Toa Nuva were the only ones of their kind so it wouldn't make sense to have a name change in their case.
Patterns
So, I don’t know if this has been brought up before, or if there’s already a canonical reason for it, but I’m curious about part of the Bionicle story. There seemed to be an inconsistent naming pattern for the Toa.
Mata Nui -> Toa Mata (makes sense)
Metru Nui -> Toa Metru (with you so far)
Of course, both of these were changed after their transformation to Nuva and Hordika, respectively.
But then the Inika weren’t called the Toa Voya? (Which would have been awesome)
But then they travelled to Mahri Nui and were called Toa Mahri.
And then in 2008, the Toa weren’t called the Toa Karda, they were still called the Toa Nuva, despite undergoing another drastic transformation.
I don’t know if there’s any real answer to any of this, but it’s certainly a topic for discussion in any case.
With his masterful control over air, Arkus is always a step ahead of his foes. A talkative jokester and gifted swordsman, Arkus is nearly impossible to handle. He is armed with his golden blade and a triple infused Kanohi Miru allowing him to levitate, teleport, and shield. He's always got a smile on his face and he always has the right idea for justice.
Alpha, The Renegade Designation: ATU0001 Cloned from Arkus' blood and placed in an alternate reality, Alpha was assigned the task of being the first of many fully-controllable, programmable, warriors. As a sort of prototype to the project, his creators had little to no control over his behavior. Deemed a failure, he was kept as a combatant for later clones, but would often destroy later clones in sparring matches. Imbued with the energy of the Nui-Stone, Alpha commands a form of red lightning, as well as an assortment of powers including: teleportation, increased speed and strength, shielding, and adaptability. Because of his aggression and habit of killing other clones he was scheduled to be terminated, but escaped to pursue a life of his own choice.
