Activism in Social Media..
I’d like to say that the participation of activism in social media is rapidly increasing, as it should. Social media gives us a platform to make our voices heard as well as allow us to engage in meaningful conversations with other groups. Minorities such as people of color, members of LQBTQ+, and countless others who tend to be groups that remain underrepresented, have the ability to speak their mind and stand behind one another, while trying to create a significant change for us in this world. We need to continue to fight and make our voices heard about topics that matter to us most. Staying true to the cause and creating conversation online, amongst others, can create a larger impact than you would think. Coming together online for one sole purpose of good might even move mountains. Remember that we hold power, and change must commence somewhere, so why not let in begin with you.

The absolute POWER and GRACE that this image possesses, will never seize to astound me. Please correct me if I am wrong, but this picture was captured at a Black Lives Matter Protest. We can easily attach this image to our current lectures conversation regarding #BlackLivesMatter and the conversation it sparked on #BlackTwitter

#LoveWins: With over 1.4 Million LGBTQ Latinx in the U.S., #LoveWins celebrated the win of marriage equality. LGBTQ activists mark this not as the last big win, but the first among many battles, including #Immigration, #healthcare, and housing and job non-discrimination to be fought and won for LGBTQ Latinxs.
