kaz brekker, inej ghafa, jesper fahey, nina zenik, and wylan van eck — five street illusionists and stage magicians with nothing in common — each receive a tarot card leading them to an abandoned apartment building in new york city. there, they receive information from an anonymous benefactor about the heist of the century. after this discovery, the crew begins performing together as a group named the horsemen, stealing millions of dollars from various banks and private vaults during their shows and reaping the profits while dodging the authorities.
