I never go on this account anymore, so much so that I no longer had access to the original email and had to wait weeks for Tumblr to reset it for me. However, after the tragic news of Liam’s death, I had to go back on here and say something. I’m not sure if anyone is reading this since I haven’t been active in so long, but thank you if you are.

I joined Tumblr in 2012 during its heyday, and it’s all because of One Direction and this fanbase that made me stumble upon this website. It was during a time in my life when I just hit my teenage years, and everything suddenly became too overwhelming for me: school, friendships, family, you name it. It was the most depressing time in my life, but these boys were able to give me some form of comfort every single day. They made me laugh, but they also made me cry, but it was the fanbase on Tumblr that made it so exciting with the impressive edits and cringy fanfics that I would fall asleep to. Thanks to this fanbase, I was also able to discover other communities and other topics that made me happy and helped me develop into the person, and this unique account that has non-One Direction-related things to it, I am today. I witnessed EVERYTHING that happened to the boys because of this fanbase and for that, I’m forever grateful.

I was never a Liam girl, I have always been a Harry girl and always will be, but I loved all the boys equally and remember Liam being the sweet and ‘mature’ one. Little did my teenage self know, however, the struggles they were facing being in the band, especially Liam. I haven’t been his biggest fan these last couple of years with all the controversial things he has said and done, but I knew deep down that his actions were because he needed help. And I was hoping that either he or someone else would take that first step in the right direction which the other boys were able to do successfully over the years to get better. It ended up not being the case and ended up dead before he had the chance to live his life happily.

I really hope that now he’s gone he’s not suffering anymore. I also hope that the boys will come out at some point to tell us what really, truly happened behind the scenes. We obviously haven’t been given the whole story for years and I think it’s time that we do; we as Directioners deserve nothing but the truth so we can prevent this from happening to another young star again.

I’ve been praying for years for a reunion, but this isn’t what I was expecting when I meant by it.

He was gone too soon. We love you, Liam. Rest easy now <3
