Daniel Luther’s Magical Watercolor Birds

Piercing eyes, faded pastel-hued bodies, vivid and bright patterned wings poised to fly off the paper - Daniel Luther’s watercolor birds create a delight for the eyes of to wander on. The Swedish art director, graphic designer and artist brings his love for watercolor to this series of artwork. It is immediately apparent that Luther’s brushstrokes are dominated by for his passion for the swirl of subtle and acute colors and not by precision.

Most of the birds in his featured artwork focus on owls, eagles, and other birds of prey. The sharp edges of the birds’ contour filled in with the watercolor displays Luther’s unique smudged coloring technique while cleverly drawing attention to the face of each bird. Whether the artist chooses a smooth and free flowing or defined style of drawing, the intensity of the eyesis replicated with perfection which only the living specimen is capable of imitating in every painting.

Daniel Luther’s liberty with his color selection is spectacular. Vying away from the usual natural tones for feathers, his pleasant combination of radiant colors mixed in with sober shades leave you with a sense of magic, while his flock drifts away from the edge of the canvas.

Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:
