As the girl with the Buddie fanfic masterlist I need a story where Eddie just....walks away.

I need a fanfic where it's summer vacation, and Buck ignored Eddie and Chris again because of his new relationship but this time it's worse because Tommy is truly a good couple and Eddie can't complain about it, he can't tell Buck the truth, that seeing him with another man is worse than going to war.

So he just grabs Chris, tells Bobby he needs some time, just a break, and his captain understands and lets him go to a house one of Eddie's relatives has somewhere far away in Texas.

But Eddie leaves and...never tells Buck that he's leaving.

And Buck comes to his shift and Bobby says that Eddie isn't coming back for a while and Buck loses his mind.

Calls, messages and nothing.

Tommy understands, he always knew that on Buck's priority list he was going to lose out and it's time to be friends.

And Buck decides it's time to get back on the road, like so many years ago, but instead of running away from his family, he goes in search of them.

And when he arrives (mad as hell about everything), he finds Eddie happy, with a new friend who makes Buck question everything he knows about the world.

And now it's Eddie's time to decide whether to stay in this new fantasy or return home.

My guess bc a girl can dream: everything is going to end in a big disaster because the alcohol is going to make them kiss at Chimney's bachelor party and probably only Eddie will remember that the moment he sees Buck attending his sister's wedding with Tommy, which is going to lead him to have a genuine panic attack/crisis about everything.

Sorry, but this really was the most Buddie episode I've seen in all 7 seasons.

Buck goes on a date, with a boy he likes, who he can even calmly talk about with his sister, but the moment Eddie shows up, the moment Eddie can realize that he likes men (that he likes another man) Buck loses all sense of the situation.

Maddie accepting Buck, but instead of telling him that he has to apologize to Tommy, that he should fix things, she tells him that he still has a lot of things to understand about himself (!!!!) and that he should talk as soon as possible with Eddie.

Eddie rushing in with a girl just because he feels like it's the right thing to do, even when no one else was rushing him. Feeling tremendous pressure at the fact that his actions could make God angry with him (!!!).

Christopher is nowhere to be found so he cannot comment on absolutely any of the decisions his two dads are making.

Bobby making Eddie understand that he has no problems with commitment because he can commit (for example his entire relationship with Shannon and Buck), it just seems like he doesn't want to accept a big part of himself (!!!).

Eddie and Buck talking about Buck's new sexuality which Eddie has no problem with, even though throughout the episode we saw him commenting on how he is being persecuted for his Catholic guilt (which tells us that Catholic guilt is actually for something what happens with himself and not with the people he truly loves).

Eddie realizing that he doesn't know when a man likes other men (or when they flirt with him!).

The faces they both make after hugging each other, looking at each other with a new type of look that goes beyond their simple camaraderie, as if they were family.

The fact that they both still see absolutely none of these signs and that's why they push themselves into other people's arms.

It's very entertaining to think about Eddie being jealous, Eddie having a revelation and realizing he loves his best friend, Eddie thinking he's homophobic just because he doesn't like seeing Buck with another man....

BUT-

Realistically, Eddie is going to be the number one supporter of Buck and Tommy's relationship, while it kills him inside.

We're talking about a person who would rather trash his entire room than ask for help, and he's obviously come a long way, but he'd rather die than hurt Buck.

To lose Buck again.

So he's going to be super excited for his friend on the outside. He will listen to him talk about how he's dating Tommy, watch his son talk about Buck's new boyfriend, he's going to keep going to play basketball with Tommy and while that's going on, he's going to think about all the things he could do better than Tommy if he wasn't a coward.

He's going to leave his girlfriend without telling anyone, he's going to talk to Frank about what the hell is going on with him, he's going to think about changing jobs just so he has to stop seeing so much of how Buck loves someone who isn't him, he's going to try to walk away because that's what Eddie Diaz did all his life to protect the people he loves, run away.

We'll see if before he runs away, there's a reason that tells him there's still hope left between Buck and him.

It's so funny to me that Eddie loves Buck with all his heart, but he's genuinely NEVER going to be able to forgive him for telling Eddie that Natalia "saw" him.

In 07X4 he really took the opportunity to say all that to Buck about how you instantly connect with someone only to make him feel a friction of what Eddie was in that damn cemetery after losing him for almost 4 minutes and having to literally restart his heart.

In conclusion, Buck can literally sleep with another man right in Eddie's face and he is going to be like "Oh, great for you, can you take care of Chris? He misses you," but the second Buck says something like that to him again Eddie will probably have to take his army skills and take down a certain pretty pilot.

In conclusion, Buck can date anyone he wants, as long as he only loves Eddie and Chris because they are his real family.

Buck throughout 07x4 was jealous of Tommy and Eddie, but every scene always has Eddie as the focal point of that jealousy and that's the biggest thing I feel like most are missing.

Buck likes Tommy, it helped him see that indeed he also feels a sexual attraction to men and he is going to enjoy this whole new side of his life with Tommy.

BUT-

He was jealous of Eddie, of how his best friend (the man he truly loves) was spending more and more time with a man who is not him.

Praising another man, laughing with another man, fighting with another man, being a team with another man.

And that was what bothered him.

Just like seeing how Chris, the only child he considers important in his life (besides his niece obviously), was happily talking about another man in his life was literally driving him crazy.

So yeah, Buck likes Tommy and is probably going to be very happy with him for a while, only to realize that something is missing.

Tommy is not Eddie.

Tommy is not his family.

He already has one.

(Also, I love Tommy because he's going to help Buck be more himself, I hope he doesn't get too hurt after this and finds his own Eddie!)
