BARBIE MOVIE CONSPIRACY THEORIES

This is kind of a joke my sister and I made up while watching Barbie Princess and the Pauper yesterday. Here is my theory: Anneliese and Erika are cousins. The Queen is Odette and Erika’s mother is her sister Marie. (Again this is mostly a joke I know that they reuse character designs for the background characters). 

In the beginning we see a picture of Erika’s parents. Her mothers bears a striking resemblance to Marie.

Queen Genevieve (I will talk about the name change in a bit) also looks like she could be an older Odette.

(of course half of the barbie movie characters have blue eyes and blonde hair) Lots of people theorize that the Queen is actually an older version of Princess Genevieve from Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. This is unlikely because Princess and the Pauper came out before the twelve dancing princesses. Swan Lake, however, was the movie released before Princess and the Pauper. My sister and I believe that Odette and Marie got in a big fight and no longer talked to each other. It is likely that Odette/Queen Genevieve didn’t even know that her sister was suffering from extreme poverty or that she had a daughter. We also believe that Odette changed her name to Genevieve but we haven’t come up with a reason for that yet. It could be related somehow to her fight with Marie. 

Anyway, with Anneliese and Erika being cousins, it would explain why they looked so similar.
