she doesn’t let go of his hand , finding a sort of comfort in holding him close. in turning their grips so her fingers can lace between his. the physical contact , in a softer sense is still so new to her … but when it comes to moxxie , it feels like she’s done this a hundred times before. the rest of her world has just been waiting for her to catch up.

“ oh no y’ don’t. i asked you out , silly. i can cover this one. ” she says it as a matter of fact. not really leaving much room for him to argue , but breathing a smile in his direction. “ — ‘sides , you can pay when we go on our first real date. ”

it hangs in the air between them , a sort of unspoken thing that is finally being given a voice. and there is no hiding the giggle that bursts from her lips. still , she moves them along. tugging him out of the office and down the block. “ heard there’s a new pizza spot that just opened. only half a block away! ”
