Buck frowned, "Where you're heading?"

"I forgot to tell you, sorry." Christopher said innocently. "I'm staying at Carla's. We're going to have a nice movie night."

Carla grinned when she saw the surprise on Buck's face, "Don't look so stunned. I'm sure you and Eddie have a lot to talk about."

"I love you, Buck," Christopher said as he stood up, hugged him, and walked over to Carla.

Carla would have loved to take a picture of Buck's face. The look was priceless. A short time later, the door closed, and the two men were alone.

Buck entered the living room just as Eddie came out of the kitchen with two bottles of beer. Buck hooked his thumb over his shoulder and said, "Was this some kind of set up?"

Eddie shrugged, "I swear I wasn't involved in the planning."

"You were," Buck grinned. Eddie handed him one of the bottles. They toasted each other and took a sip.

Eddie shook his head, "No, really. I swear I had no idea." Then they sat down—Buck on the couch, Eddie across from him.

"So how was studying with Christopher?" Eddie asked.

"I don't know why he wanted me to study with him. He completed all the exercises perfectly."

"I think he missed you." Eddie left the sentence as it was.

Buck nodded, "Yeah, I know. He told me. I wonder, though... Did anyone else miss me?"

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, nothing, forget it."

Pendragon has already sent two other agents packing due to ulterior motives, leaving Merlin as the agency's last hope to protect him. Despite the challenge, Merlin is determined to take on the arrogant professor. Things get complicated when the two men, with their contrasting personalities, develop feelings for each other while trying to evade the bad guys who are already closing in. And what in the world is Merlin's boss hiding? (Note: Arthur is not deaf. He just doesn't speak for a reason that is revealed later in this story).

MERTHUR - Merlin is Arthur's closest and most trusted friend and his guardian angel in times of peril. He sits vigilantly beside Arthur, his eyes fixed on his friend's face, watching every breath and every twitch of his body. He hopes that the magic he has woven and the medicine he has administered will work, bringing healing and relief to Arthur's battered body.

Merlin's devotion to Arthur is unshakeable, and he refuses to leave until he is sure that his friend is out of danger. He spends his time studying the ancient tomes of magic, consulting with the spirits of the earth, and performing incantations in the hopes of finding a cure for Arthur's wounds. He knows that the kingdom's fate rests on Arthur's survival and is determined to do everything he can to ensure his friend pulls through.

As the days pass and Arthur's condition slowly improves, Merlin remains by his side, offering words of encouragement and hope. He watches as the color returns to Arthur's cheeks and the light returns to his eyes. Finally, after days of exhaustion, Merlin's body can no longer keep up with the demands of caring for his friend, and his eyelids grow heavy. As he lies there, with his head resting on Arthur's shoulder, he feels a sense of peace and safety wash over him, drifting into a deep, dreamless sleep.

Excerpt: As Arthur made his way up the steep mountain, he followed his wolf's lead. When the wolf told him to turn left, he did so without hesitation, and when he told him to turn right, he obeyed without question. The terrain was treacherous, with jagged rocks jutting out of the ground and only a tiny amount of snow remaining. Despite the difficult conditions, Arthur persevered, driven by the cold wind that blew through his fur and filled his senses with its icy touch.

As he climbed higher and higher, the scent of the air around him changed, and Arthur was instantly reminded of the night Merlin had stood at his door. Memories flooded back, and he paused for a moment on a large rock overlooking the forest that had once been his home. From this vantage point, he could see the trees stretching as far as the eye could see, and he felt a pang of nostalgia as he thought of all the happy times he had spent there. But now, the darkness had taken over, and what was left was nothing to be proud of.

"You know what you're forcing me to do," Arthur said to his wolf as he looked beyond the mountains into a future full of possibilities.

I kissed a boy... and I liked it - Tommy's sudden kiss catches Buck off guard, leaving him momentarily stunned. But as Buck's mind catches up, he kisses Tommy back. The kiss leaves Buck feeling a mix of emotions. On the one hand, he is surprised by his own reaction, and on the other, he is confused because it feels somehow right. Buck has never been in a situation like this before and is unsure how to proceed. However, he is known for his courage and willingness to take risks. And so, despite his uncertainty, he decides to take a chance and see where this new experience will take him. He knows he might be in uncharted territory but is determined to explore it and discover what lies ahead.

A family of two fathers and their beautiful son. A couple is not always a man and a woman, even if that's what you've been told all these years in your Catholic upbringing. Look at Hen and Karen. And a man is no less a man when he loves another man. These are the silly views of people who think they have such high moral standards. But they don't because their thinking is outdated and their moral compass is broken. Not yours or Buck's."

"Carla, please, I'm having a hard enough time. Just imagine if Buck and I were a couple. What... what if it didn't work out between us? What if we found out we were wrong? Carla, I can't do that to Christopher. Yeah, what would my boy think? You said to yourself that he's starting to make up his own mind. What would I tell him? That Buck and I are dating, or worse, that we are already a couple? Carla, I'm sorry, I can't do that for the life of me."

"I've noticed a pattern in your behavior, Eddie. Every woman you dated after Shannon's death, you introduced them to Christopher, and then, as quietly as they came, they left. And despite your concern for Christopher's well-being and happiness, you never tried to stop them. Now, Marisol is expected to take on the role of Christopher's mother, but where do you fit into this equation? Have you considered your own needs and desires?

It's important to acknowledge that you've been looking for someone to fill the void left by Shannon's death. But what if the person you've been looking for has been right in front of you all along? Buck's kiss proves that he has feelings for you, and you may have feelings for him, too. Feelings that go much deeper than either of you thought.

I understand that this may be difficult for you to admit, but it's important to remember that you've already found what you're looking for. If you continue to prioritize Christopher's happiness over your own, you may end up sacrificing your own needs and desires. It's worth considering whether it's time to focus on your own happiness and well-being rather than just Christopher's. Don't you think, Eddie?"

"Carla, please, this is...crazy. Buck and I are close, yes. But not that close."

"And what if Buck were a woman? Wouldn't you have long since..."

"But Buck is a guy. Please, Carla. Stop it. My head is already spinning. I don't know how to look him in the eye."

Eddie closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them again, they glistened with tears. "What if he doesn't like what I have to say? What if it might even destroy our friendship?"

Although it was complicated for Eddie to understand his feelings for Buck, he knew that the kiss had affected him in more ways than one.

Had it shaken him to the core? Without a doubt. Had he regretted kicking Buck out? Yes, he had. Had he ever had such feelings for another man as he had for Buck? Certainly not. Now that he'd had enough time to think about it, would he react differently to Buck if he kissed him again? He might. Was he afraid it would happen again? Definitely, and that was why he avoided Buck. That's why he avoided eye contact and every other kind of contact. Eddie's world was about to fall apart. And he feared nothing more than suddenly seeing Buck in a different light than before. He already did. But for the moment, he was still wearing dark glasses, which protected him a little—metaphorically speaking. Evan Buckley had managed to create a chink in Eddie's armor with that kiss. Maybe Eddie held on to his relationship with Marisol because there was something familiar about it. That relationship kept him grounded. Because Eddie Diaz feared nothing more than having the rug pulled out from under him, Evan Buckley was about to do just that.

Buck looked like a whipped dog. "I'm sorry I couldn't break it to you more gently, but it happened. About a week ago. We were renovating Christopher's room, and we started arguing about something completely insignificant. Things got heated; we were yelling at each other, and I guess I just wanted to shut Eddie up and..."

"And that's when you kissed him," Maddie finished the sentence.

Buck nodded.

"And how did he take it?" Maddie asked, although she already knew the answer.

"He threw me out."

"Now I know why Chimney's been bothering me about you two the whole time. You two aren't even sitting next to each other anymore."

"You didn't tell him about Tommy and me, did you?" Buck asked immediately.

"No, you know I'm very good at keeping secrets. However, you don't make it easy. First Tommy, now Eddie."

"Tommy kissed me, Maddie. I hope you realize that," Buck pointed out.

"Yes, I do, but you kissed Eddie and not the other way around?"

Buck nodded, "Yes, I did, and we haven't been able to look each other in the eye since, let alone talk."

"You have to. You can't avoid each other forever. Unless one of you leaves the 118."

"Maddie!"

"Then sit down and talk."

"Thanks, I could have given myself that advice." Buck looked disappointed.

Buck and Eddie have been best friends for some time now. They've been through thick and thin together, and their friendship has always been the most important thing in their lives. However, things change dramatically when Buck kisses Eddie in the heat of the moment.

If Buck thought Eddie would react the same way he did after Tommy's kiss, he was sorely mistaken. Buck is nothing but confused and ashamed.

Eddie is taken aback and doesn't know how to respond. He was brought up in a culture where machismo and religion are the fundamental values of society, and the idea of same-sex relationships was something he had never considered. Not really. The kiss goes against everything he believes about love, and he is struggling to come to terms with the new feelings that have emerged.
