February Freestyle

It’s february, we’re all training for the new season. Malthe and Daemon is debuting in dressage this year. Malthe thought it would be fun to just start the year out showing at the February Freestyle, and so he did. We helped him make a program and fit a soundtrack to it, and fitting one song in particular.

Hours were put into brushing, scrubbing, washing both horse and tack, and he threw some money at some new show clothes, he probably won’t wear until next year. I hope for him he won’t gain much more weight so it still fits by then.

The pair shined like diamonds in the spotlight and I now understand why he has chosen the friesian of all breeds for his dressage career.

Lotus Emira

I'd like to introduce a new member to the Haldbæk-family. Haldbæk's Lotus Emira, sired by Lennox HF with Greyscale as her dam. She is our first successful foal through surrogate! Named after her dad's first letter and the theme of Greyscale's sire Porsche OVP - Cars is the theme of course.

Lotus is already showing off some spicy personality and she sure is curious, constantly after the mare. It does look like Greyscale has given the little filly a grey gene with those goggles!

Foal show in autumn of 2022

Spring this year we showed our foal crop of 2022 and we got to show them at a foal show before Miss Orchid was sent off to her new home. The little filly was sold even before she was born, the owners at Kongedam were very excited to see one of our breedings.

Oh how the foals have grown! We have just recieved the pictures of all three. In spring we weren't sure if we were going to keep both colts but we have decided to sell Caspian and keep Lloyd for training, to either keep or sell later on.

Caspian is the bay colt sure to take on dressage in his future. He is sired by Haldbæk's Sentimental, he has definitely not gotten enough attention from the cameras this year, I'll try and change that for next year. Caspian will soon be ready to move to his new home, so if you're interested please do keep an eye in the sales thread.

Caspian has been sold and has already been shown in dressage, he loves his new home!

I happily shared my very first *actual* piece of cc yesterday! I have learned so much from making it, as there’s not many tutorials out there, it’s been a good fight and I am so ready to create more whenever I get a new idea.

I’ve already had a roundpen/walker in the works, but it will take more time than I thought in the first place✨

Don’t sell my mods.

Didn’t think I would ever have to do this, but here I am.

In case you don’t remember me, hi, I am formerly Luke Teth of the ES/EQ/Cavaletti/I don’t even know anymore — The TS3 horse community. You may know me for the various HD mods I made, or really any number of CC I made, I don’t really remember it all, but the HD mods were the big and popular ones. I’m no longer active within these communities by any means, but I know my mods and custom content are still out there being used by the folks who are. That’s great! That genuinely makes me happy to know that people are still enjoying what I made, even if I’m no longer in the community or directly engaging with it.

HOWEVER.

It’s been brought to my attention that there’s been an instance of someone using my HD mods as a base for theirs, and then locking it behind a Patreon paywall. Upon investigating, I confirmed this is true (I can always tell when someone is using my HD mod as a base). This is completely unacceptable to me, as someone who always kept my content free and my TOU pretty loose in terms of restrictions.

I am fine if you edit my CC. I am fine if you use it as a base to make your own CC. I am very much not okay with you editing my content or using it as a base for yours, and then profiting off of that resulting content. Sure, it’s transformative, but it’s still using my content without my explicit permission for financial gain. I never made a single cent of money off what I did for the community, and I never did it with the expectation of making money. So why should you? I don’t know, it just makes me really sad to think about this. I really can’t believe this even happened.

So TL;DR, respect the creators you use content from, even if we aren’t active anymore. We will find out. We always do. And please never sell anything I made for your own profit, even if you’ve edited it. I learned to make my textures from scratch; so can you.

Also, consider this carte blanche to edit any of my CC to make your own, I know people have tried to contact me previously via this Tumblr about that, but obviously, it has not been checked in a while. Just don’t sell it, profit off it, etc. That’s all I ask. Credit would be nice, but since I’m not really around anymore that doesn’t really matter as much.
