“I could say I felt pride of my master, and that would be true, but... It was mostly the feeling I held onto so I could carry on with my duties. And I suppose I should be thankful for that, in fact.” In times of war, no news felt somewhat safer than the alternative; even if, at least for the past few weeks, nothing seemed to change, an unspoken truce making the atmosphere thicker with tension. Something was bound to happen, that much was clear. One could only hope to buy some time.

“If anything, I suppose you can say it was a calling of sorts.” More like sheer restlessness, in fact, the sort of feeling he would soothe either turning back to his homeland or giving into war head on, but there was no reason to get to that. “This might be my place, but there is something about Jamir that definitely helps me feel more grounded again.”

Sometimes Dohko wondered if he should prod on the Aries Saint a bit less, or just let Shion know that he was kidding and not to take things seriously like that. But after seeing that frown? Nah, he couldn’t do it. It was too good to see Shion like that. “That is true my friend, but these are recent news to me. You going back to Jamir, that is. Did anything happen? It seems we have more to catch up on than I imagined.”
