Theories for 3.4..

Now 3.3 was devastating, and it left me with a hole so huge I can't even think anymore..

Phainon lost everything and everyone, he now will submit the final coreflame and supposedly that should trigger the Era Nova a.k.a the Cycle Reset.

We know that us as Trailblazer and Dan Heng are the only variables in the equation, we were not supposed to be here and we were not supposed to interact with this world as it's not even real. Lygus, regardless if he was the overseer or just an observer of the events unfolding, he knows that we bring change, but he thinks we're not as much of a threat as Herta is. Phainon left the door a bit open for us with his letter, letting us know that if we want to really help we can always break the rules.

I have a theory I think might be true:

We will stay on Amphoreus, we know TB is already this close to sacrificing themself to save this damn planet. It is shown through their actions, their behaviour, their absolute devastation over what's happening. They feel like they hold a responsibility as the demigod of time, and Oronyx's words that the world will fall apart without the authority of time undoubtedly rings through their mind. Could they pull off an old trick in the book by trapping Dan Heng in the fixed train car and sending him away while they stay? We know Dan Heng currently has no divinity or major role in Amphoreus, the cycle reset could very well just remove him from existence. They might stay in Amphoreus and witness the new era with Phainon as time and world bearer, kind of confirming the early leak of saying we will replace Cyrene in the next cycle to trick the overseer and break the loop? That could also explain why Phainon was seeing Cyrene in the vortex of genesis, he could be hallucinating or tricked into thinking it's Cyrene in the next cycle.

The theories are running wild, our fate is so intricately tied to Amphoreus I wonder how they're gonna pull the story off, considering that 3.4 and 3.5 should be the climax of the arc.

It is also heavily implied through multiple parts in the story that we somehow will be able to rewrite the history of the planet, bringing it into existence.

these are all theories I came up with, I could be totally of the margin with this one but it's fun to speculate!

mydei having a library is absolutely heartbreaking symbolism. it's a running gag that the kremnoan language doesn't have many words; there's no word for flee, no word for fear, even no word for love. i know the library was his family's, but still -- it is such a distinct symbol of how mydei wants to break kremnoan tradition. how he openly rejects the idea that violence is the only valid form of communication. how he always dismisses the baseless rumours surrounding his abilities, proving that he values truth over glory. we see mydei try to talk his people into reason. we see him apologize to tribbie for being rude. we even see him (begrudgingly) admit to phainon that he knows how to interpret poetry. time and time again, mydei chooses language -- and truth -- over violence. so when he invites phainon to visit his library in the next life, he's not just expressing hope -- he's asking phainon to remember him by what he really believes in. even if i become the avatar of strife, he's saying, even if you have to kill me one day -- in the next life, please see me as the person i've tried to become.

mydei knows the power of a name, perhaps because his language has so few of them. and that makes it doubly ironic that he personally has so many titles: son of gorgo. the patricidal crown prince. kingslayer. godslayer. the undying. but as krateros points out, the name he prefers is the one he uses with the chrysos heirs. and although mydei doesn't talk much, all his actions seem to say the same thing.

If Dan Heng and Stelle don't develop a form of co-dependency relationship after Amphoreus I would be genuinely surprised.

They were and actively are being traumatised by what is happening and considering Dan Heng thought he was just insane and imagined Stelle dying but his insanity turned out to be truth and now Stelle's fate is intertwined with the Amphoreus cycle and she might turn into a titan when the Era Nova begins. These two need a serious break after Amphoreus. I will personally put locks on their rooms in the Express so they won't go out next planet!!
